Ka’anapali's finest beachfront setting with a prime location near shopping and activities. Our studio condo, A-317, is located on the third floor of the Aloha Tower and offers a lovely partial ocean view. It is accessible by elevator and has a comfortable King Size Bed and Queen Sofa Sleeper. The fully equipped kitchen has been upgraded with new cabinets, granite counters, new fixtures and lighting, and is well-stocked. Our ocean front resort is set on 11 acres of exotic tropical gardens, along one of the finest stretches of Ka’anapali Beach, just north of Black Rock.
Swim, snorkel, paddle, or sail directly off the white sand beach in warm, crystal-clear turquoise water. Lounge by two adult swimming pools, kiddie pool, or spa, with cocktail and food service. Spot Humpback whales directly from shore between November and March. Golf at any of four nearby championship golf courses. Ride the free trolley to shopping, adjacent hotels for entertainment, restaurants, or luaus.
Enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or Happy Hour at the full service Castaway Restaurant situated beach front. Or simply, sip a glass of wine on our lanai as you watch the sun set after another perfect day in paradise.

Our family has been vacationing at Maui Ka'anapali Villas for more than 25 years. Our daughters, Emily and Dori grew up on this stretch of beach, swimming, snorkeling, and hunting for beach glass. Our best memories are of the fun we had playing in the water and relaxing at this resort. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to buy a studio condo at MKV. We're excited to share it with you and your family, so that you may also make your own memories at this glorious place in the sun.
Barbara Rubin purchased this condo in 2011
Maui Ka'anapali Villas is maintained and managed by Aqua-Aston Resorts. Each condo is privately owned, and the owners take great pride in the property. Every detail is considered so that our guests will enjoy their stay at this most beautiful resort.
There is no better beach on Maui as far as our family is concerned. The water is pristine and warm. The clean, white sand offers a gentle entry into the ocean for swimming or snorkeling at the adjacent reef, which stretches 1 1/2 miles north. Walk on the boardwalk or beach, swim, or take the Free Green Ka'anapali Beach Trolley, 1/2 mile south to snorkel at Black Rock.
As most other reviewers have pointed out, Barbara is a pleasure to work with and truly understands the value of hospitality. It shows in the way the condo is taken care of, well-appointed, and stocked with all of the items one might hope to have while they are away from home. She then takes it a step further by adding personal touches such as emailing a list of her family's favorite activities, restaurants, beaches and snorkeling spots, etc. We took advantage of it all during our 9 night stay. The condo was perfect for us...great location and beautiful property about a one minute walk to the beach. We highly recommend just hanging out in the immediate area on the night of your arrival...after all of the traveling and a Costco/grocery store run, make your way to the beach or the pool and then walk along the path to Black Rock for the evening. Have dinner somewhere local (maybe Whaler's Village) and settle in to Maui. As this was our second trip to the island (and the first with the kids), we squeezed in most of the "touristy" activities and found it very convenient (and cost effective) to have a kitchen to return to each night. We ate breakfast at the condo almost every morning and loved waking up to a view of the ocean. We packed lots of lunches and visited several of the beaches recommended by Barbara and "Maui Revealed". The condo itself was roomy enough for our family of four, and we never felt cramped even after 9 nights. A couple of highlights/recommendations: North Shore Zipline has a lower age limit than most of the other companies if you have kids under 8 who want a thrill. We took our ten year old daughter and seven year old son there for her birthday and it was perfect. The staff is awesome and absolutely hilarious. While you are in the area, try to make breakfast at Coleen's in Haiku. It's also a great place to stop after doing the sunrise trip to Mt. Haleakala. Also look up and consider booking the "Food of the Gods" chocolate tour...very fun, very informative, intimate, and off the beaten path. Another lesser known tour is the "Tour of the Stars" at the Hyatt. We did it with the kids this time and they thought it was cool. Since we took the tour, they have been pointing out constellations and I woke them both up at 4:30 this morning (at their request) to view the Lyrid meteor shower. Oh yeah, spend an entire day on the Road to Hana and stop at the Garden of Eden...it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Mahalo!
We loved everything about our stay at MKV from the first day till the time we had to leave. Condominium has fully stock kitchen with all necessary appliances to prepare daily meals if you don't feel like going out or simple just having coffee or late afternoon tea. We enjoyed watching ocean and beautiful property having our breakfast basically every day. This place definitely feels like home away from home. Place where you want to go back after all day of enjoying outside activities and simple power up for the next day adventures. Other benefit of staying at Barbara's condo is that her closet is equipped with all beach necessities(beach chairs, umbrella, boogie bords, ice chest, cooler which we used for Road to Hana, shopping bag and little cooler bag😊 i loved this one since i didn't take any beach canvas and i used it a lot to take water, camare, snacks.... when going to the beach).
Barbara and Family,
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. This was wonderful stay, another great journey for us. We will definetely stay here again.

Just returned from a week in Maui and had a wonderful stay. The condo kitchen has been tastefully remodeled since last visit. Accommodations are very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and conveniently located near hiking trails and great snorkeling sites. Also great snorkeling without having to drive anywhere, just down the beach at Black Rock in one direction and a reef in the opposite direction. Staff is friendly and keep the grounds clean. A terrific view of the islands of Lanai and Moloka'i can be seen from the beach which is only a couple minute walk from the condo. Saw a lot of whale activity in the distance from the beach (breaching/blowing), but they tend to stay a couple miles off coast.
A couple of mornings consisted of hiking the 5+ mile lake loop at the abandoned golf course at Kapalua , then going over to Honolua Bay for snorkeling. Have always seen plenty of marine life there, turtles, squid, eels. These sites are relatively close together and only a 10-15 minute drive from the resort.
Also did the sunrise at Haleakala volcano and the bike ride down. Used Maui Sunriders Bike Tours in Paia which is self guided so can go at own pace and was about $50 cheaper than other options I was looking at. Be prepared to meet at their shop at 3:00AM ish. The shop is approximately 45 minutes from condo at that time in the morning.
Found a nice hiking trail called Lahaina Pali which is about a 1,500' climb in elevation that will take you up to the wind turbines with views of Kaho'olawe, Molokini Crater, and the Kikhei/Makena side of Maui. The trailhead is just past Papalua Beach State Park on the right where there is a small parking area off of Hwy30.
We are return visitors to this condo and plan on returning again in the future. Really an ideal place, as everything you really need is at the resort.
This is the second time in five years we have stayed at this property. We found it just as enjoyable. There is good access to the beach and snorkeling, beach or board walking and is centrally located to the upper west side of Maui. I would recommend this property and look forward to returning soon!
The MKV, and in particular, A-317, are perfect for those who want a comfortable and relaxed vacation. The condo is well-stocked, clean and has a great view of the ocean. Barbara is a joy to work with and is constantly updating her condo for the ultimate experience. MKV is a laid-back, beautifully landscaped resort with two pools/spas and the ocean at your doorstep. Whales abound, so be sure to take binoculars! The Castaway Cafe is good when you just don't want to cook in the condo's full kitchen or leave the property, and there are plenty of restaurants--all the way from take-out to fancy--within a short driving distance. Take advantage of the Aloha Concierge orientation--you're sure to win a discount on an excursion. We've done the Pacific Whale Foundation Lanai snorkel trip two years in a row and it is wonderful. North Ka'anapali is the perfect location, with LaHaina, Kihei & Wailea in one direction and Napili, Kapalua and Ft. Deming State Park in the other. Always plenty to do, but our favorite activity is lounging on the beach or at the pool. Mahalo, Barbara, for another great vacation experience. Until next year...
We had a wonderful time staying in this condo at MKV. The room itself has a kitchen with all the necessary cookware to make your own meals (handy when you're on a budget!) or you can have a great meal at the Castaway Cafe - the restaurant on the property. There is a beautiful pool (1 of 2) that is never crowded. The beach out front is amazing! Our trip was in January - and we saw many humpback whales jumping and splashing in the water not too far offshore. We saw the occasional sea turtle swim past too. There is a free trolley that can you to Whaler's Village for shopping and dining. We took it to the Hyatt to check out the flamingos and penguins - then walked back (about a 40 min walk with kids in tow). On Sat and Sun - drive to Lahaina and check out the artists set up under the Banyan Tree by the old courthouse. We found some beautiful jewelry and art prints that were quite reasonable. There's so much to do in Maui - I would recommend checking out the book "Maui Revealed". The great thing about the Ruben's condo is that there's so much to do on and near the property. We spent the majority of the time snorkeling around Black Rock. Just amazing. We love this place - already have it booked for next year!
