About the property

Condo, 2 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-5)

Welcome to the mountain condo of your dreams. Completely remodeled 2 bedrooms 2 bath Mammoth condo at Aspen Creek with a short five-minute walk to the 6-pack Eagle Express. Two underground parking spaces are provided with a private entrance to unit 2. The outdoor swimming pool and spa are just outside the entrance door. The all-year spa has incredible views of the mountains. Upon entering the condo your eyes will be drawn to the units focal point – a handcrafted majestic log staircase with half-log steps. Adjacent to the stairs is an original June Mountain lift chair with a stacked stone backdrop. Next you will look up at the dramatic high ceilings. The open gourmet kitchen boasts granite countertops with full stone backsplash, limestone floors, a new French-door stainless steel refrigerator and new Bosch range with a ceramic cook top. The cabinets are pine with deer antler pulls and knobs. The 30-inch stainless steel sink and Bosch dishwasher make cleanup easy. Three steps down from the entrance you will find a cozy living area with sweeping views of the Gondola Summit, Lincoln Mountain and the Sherwins. The gorgeous floors are vintage recycled oak. The brick fireplace has a mantle made from a thick slab of pine. A quick press of the remote gives you an instant electric fireplace to add to the ambiance. A 47 inch wall mounted TV provides entertainment. The dining area easily seats 6 and an antler chandelier provides a romantic setting for dining. New comfortable mountain-themed furniture completes the picture. On log poles, bears by local artist Josh Slater enjoy the view. Artwork includes vintage photos, skis, snowshoes and French antique posters. A sunroom off the living area has a small dining area and comfortable seating for relaxing and reading a good book while enjoying the views and sun. The downstairs bathroom has new mountain pine vanities with hammered copper sinks and trough faucets. Limestone floors and a large limestone shower complete this bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed with a dynamic log headboard. The upstairs cozy loft bedroom has a four-poster queen bed, room for lounging, granite countertop vanity and a deep slipper tub for relaxing after a day of activities. The town of Mammoth and the Village are a short 5-minute drive or a half hour walk. Comfort and convenience make this the perfect choice for mountain living. Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples staying there, and it worked beautifully for us. The condo is well-decorated, comfortable and has everything one could want or need. Parking is covered, and very near the entrance to the condo, which we found super convenient. It is a short walk to the ski lift at Eagle Lodge too. There is nothing we could fault, and we would definitely stay in this condo again if we returned. Thanks to the owners who have obviously put a lot of thought and care to make this condo so enjoyable.

Wonderful Bear Den

  • 5 of 5

What a great condo!!! One of the nicest condos I have stayed in while in Mammoth - hands down. Nothing was spared when this condo was renovated, i.e., granite kitchen counters, main bathroom shower and the bears on the poles are very appropriate and cute. The slipper tub is not very practical, but not a big deal. The pool is right outside the door and jacuzzi just up the stairs. Jake was great to work with and everything went off without a hitch. Will definitely stay here again during the summer (rate too high during winter unfortunately).

Was quaint and cozy

  • 4 of 5

We loved this place. Walking distance to Eagle Lodge and lifts. Easy to get to village. Well stocked kitchen and appliances. Cleaners didn't restock a few things and kitchen faucet needs a little fixing but we reported that so should b good.

A real gem, loved all the upgrades in the unit

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here for a week over Memorial Day just 2 people. We had other options for rentals but ultimately chose this one due to size, location, views, and unit upgrades. Booked the unit through owners son Jake and was not entirely happy with that process. We were settled on this place and ready to book however communication back from Jake was slow-typically took several days. Finally was able to pay and secure the rental. We were nervous about his lack of responsiveness if there were any emergencies with the unit but luckily there were none.

Things we loved about the unit: quiet location, size of condo, fully upgraded kitchen and bathrooms, 2 garaged parking spots super close to front door, private entry with direct access to pool and hot tub, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could even need, comfortable beds, cleanliness, lots of storage, and the cozy feel the rugged decor gave the place-felt like home.

Things we weren't crazy about: windows were hard to open and close, TV didn't have apps for Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc, wished there was better lighting in living area at night for reading (tall lamp in living area would not turn on), lack of initial responsiveness from owner about booking rental.

All in all, great place, love that it has pretty much everything you could need or want, is close to a lot of activities, has upgraded bathrooms and kitchen, and would recommend to friends and consider renting again for a future visit.

5 Stars isn't enough for this jewel at Mammoth

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I booked this as a getaway for a 4 day stay over the 4th. The condo is just as gorgeous as it looks, and oh so comfortable!

The owners are attentive, and easy to reach if you have any questions-- both pre-stay & during! Thanks, Jake!!! You rock!!

I gourmet cook so the kitchen was a dream -- everything is upscale: Kitchenaid & Bosch appliances. Coffee maker with a timer, and 14 cup capacity! Food processor, heavy duty blender. Wine glasses for every vintage. Lovely set of lodge dishes, and flatware. 5 cupboards of every type of cookware, bakeware, pots, pans, drawers of utensils. Wow! We dined in style each night & breakfast, too!

We loved the summer mountain breezes wafting through. The huge fan mounted on the ceiling with remote control kept us cool & comfy. Evenings we snuggled under comforters for perfect sleep.

Loved the fireplace with the upscale Dimplex firebox. Perfect ambiance while sipping our wine & talking about our day.

The handy combination lock storage device for the keys is genius -- wondering why more owners don't employ the same method.

The 2 car slot with underground garage is so convenient -- easy to unload and load up for the day.

Just a few steps down is a lovely deck with heated pool. A few steps up is the hot tub. Perfect for under the stars de-stressing.

A tad bit over a mile is town with tons of restaurants & shops. There is also Vons -- a great grocery store that caters to both gourmet and those on a budget (ask the manager for their discount card -- voila! You'll save more!)

During our stay we toured June Lake, Silver Lake, George Lake. We toured the Faultline park -- so interesting. Then we toured Mammoth's many features -- parking the car, then taking the bus up to Devil's Postpile -- where we hiked and took in the sights. We also took the cable car up to the summit -- on July 4th to watch the revelers take the "last ski" -- if you haven't seen the celebration, it is a sight! Music, laughter, dancing, and ski wear you wouldn't believe!

While we aren't, if you are a mountain biker, this whole area would be a mecca!

I could go on. Obviously, you won't be disappointed!!
