The condo was fantastic, the scenery was as beautiful as one can expect, friendly neighbors. But we did not realize the beach strip in front of the condo was one of a few spots on Amelia Island where people can drive out on the beach. So all day long there were guys driving their pickup trucks with lifts and mud tires, up and down the beach. Several would get stuck and the sheriff's deputy, who was as gentlemanly as they come, would go a tow them out. This, on occasion did provide some minor entertainment when we would just watch the people do the same thing over and over again and get stuck. This did not prevent us from being out on the beach and enjoying ourselves but certainly was not what I had expected. The Sheriff's deputy kept the chaos to a minimum but there was one driver who tried to pass another driver on the beach creating a hairy situation where I had to pick up my son who was enjoying the seashells on the beach. While we did enjoy ourselves, I will find a more private venue for our family next year.
Your Sandpiper home was very clean and most accommodating for our family. Our group included six of us, 75 years old down to 5 weeks old. We felt like we had plenty of privacy with close access to the boardwalk. I would recommend this property highly!
