The apartment is on the top two floors of the building which provides elevator access. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room. The other two bedrooms are on the same floor and have access to a separate shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third has 2 single beds. There is a small balcony accessible from the third bedroom. The upper floor is a very light, open plan living/kitchen area with a large glass sliding door which gives access to the main balcony. Great views across Galway Bay to the Burren. Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. Washing machine, electric storage radiators, cable TV and internet access. All towels & linen provided. Free car parking in the same building.

WIthin 2 minutes walk of Eyre Square and the pedestrian centre of Galway - Spanish Arch and the Latin Quarter.

Perfect Family Lodging

This was a wonderful home. Our favorite in Ireland by far. It was cozy, had tons of guides and homey touches. No issues with hot water and it was fun to watch the ships load up, or to awake to a new ship in the morning. Martin was great at communicating and Trrrsa was lovely as well Would definitely recommend and will seek Martin out next time we are in West Ireland.

Lovely views, great location, and fun city

We enjoyed several days here in Galway. The Christmas markets are in full, and the city is still quite alive with music and fun. The flat is lovely, with views of the docks, and a great sunrise view in the morning. The flat is fully equipped for cooking, and the wifi and TV are great. Martin was good with timely communications, and flexible as needed. Our family of 4 had a wonderful week in Galway, and recommend this spot highly.

Location, location, location. Lovely stay in great apartment on the water. Comfortable, cozy & convenient. All amenities included with good beds.

Will highly recommend for anyone to experience my favorite town Galway.

Reasonable accommodation, great location, but bad communication and arrival.

Strange...lots of communication leading up to our rental but on the day we arrived...no replies. We informed Martin that we did not have a phone with us and he said that we should email him the day of our arrival and he would let the woman who was going to let us in know. So...we emailed him four times and heard nothing back. We arrived at the apartment and borrowed a phone from a stranger on the street and called the woman and she did not answer her phone. So the stranger texted her, but didn't hear anything back. So then we waited five minutes and borrowed another phone and called her again...still no reply. 10 minutes later she turned up and said she'd been waiting to hear from us all day. But our information said that we couldn't get into the apartment until 4:00...so why was she waiting all day and why didn't Martin let her know what was going on...very unprofessional. I have never heard back from Martin...not one reply to the four emails that I sent on the day of our arrival. Not one word after we arrived to see if everything was ok.

All that being said...the apartment itself was more than adequate. Great location, close to downtown. Building is old and shabby, but the apartment was clean. WiFi worked well. Elevator in building was not very reliable.

Owner's Response: I have carefully reviewed all of the data around this complaint. Unfortunately, the guest had no phone. I was not in Galway at the time, but In order to help, I suggested that she should email me and I would call the housekeeper to arrange access. At 15.17 on the check-in day neither I nor the housekeeper had received any notification of eta from the guest, so I sent her an email requesting that she contact me or the housekeeper. At 17.51, the guest emailed me to say that she had found some wifi and would be at the apartment in 10 minutes - the first notification that we had received all day. I called the housekeeper, who had been waiting at the property since 15.00. The guests were met at the apartment just after 18.00. I called the housekeeper at 18.20 and got confirmation that all was well. I saw no need to reply to the guest as her party had gained access successfully. The building was constructed in 2003 - not particularly old, nor "shabby". I have mentioned the concerns about the elevator to the managing agent. There have apparently been no complaints from any of the other 15 apartments in the block
