The condominium is particularly quiet, away from the noise of the crowds. Within walking distance to Keauhou Bay where island tours, sailing, and kayaking tours depart. The Keauhou Shopping Center nearby has a supermarket, drug store, restaurants, post office, six-screen movie theater, and much more.

We have travelled throughout the South Pacific and love the Keauhou area of Kona because it has the beauty and tranquility of the South Pacifiic with all of the amenities of being on the mainland. The almost perfect climate means that travel there at any time of year insures great weather We travel to Keauhou at least twice a year from our Canadian home to enjoy the swimming, golfing, diving and fishing .

Great condo that was perfect for our family of 4. Super clean with an awesome kitchen stocked with everything we could possibly need for cooking meals. Great location, close to the shops and downtown Kona. We enjoyed everything about this place!

Peaceful well-appointed adult retreat
Wow - what a great vacation! Pat gave us such good communication before, during, and after. When we arrived there was a nice note from the local property manager and some chocolate macadamia nuts - nice touch. Everything was clean and there were plenty of condiments and starters for cooking in the full kitchen.
It was super quiet and peaceful overlooking the golf course and you can see the ocean to some degree. We did not use the pool or even see many golfers so it was mostly to ourselves though we can see the other units wet obviously occupied.
We were less than a mile from a good sized shopping center with a grocery store, movie theater, and several bars and restaurants. We only went to one of them (L&M Hawaiian BBQ) and it was good for lunch. About 1.75 miles away is the beach, with good snorkeling and boogie boarding and plenty of parking.
It was about a 2 hour drive to the Volcanoes National Park which had some great hikes, and it was maybe 75 minutes to the visitors center at Mauna Kea where the stargazing was awesome. Downtown Kona was maybe a 10 minute drive.
Cons: it would be tough to see what the Big Island has to offer without a car. We are car people anyway so this wasn't a problem for us, but it could be for you. The bus service is cheap ($2 all the way to Hilo!) but it runs more or less on island time. Also, this unit has no AC and got warm, particularly in the afternoons. Pat has provided several floor fans and most rooms have ceiling fans and even the front screen door locks where you can try to get a cross breeze. This was December, and I wonder what it might be in July or August. Sleeping was fine and mornings were great, but afternoons were a bit warm.
Security deposit was also returned within a week of us leaving the unit.
If I were coming back to the Big Island in the winter, I would definitely connect with Pat!
This condo was very clean and spacious. We ate out on the lanai which over looks the golf course for almost every meal. The lanai has ceiling fans and shades to wind down in the afternoon which keeps the condo from becoming too hot. We used the barbecue on several occasions. The condo is stocked with every cooking appliance and utensil you could possibly need as well as cleaning/ laundry supplies and beach/outing extras(too many to describe) etc. I loved the fact that this complex is basically the last complex on Alii Dr. You are close enough to Kona and to Keauhou shopping centre but still seemed very quiet. There was Wifi, TV, books etc available as well as a hand book with tips about sights around the island. I loved having access to the lanai off the Master bedroom as well as the living room, we slept with the patio doors open for the breeze to blow through. Pat and Jim were quick to respond to our emails and easy to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay on the Big Island and would recommend this condo.
This condo was everything we were hoping for! The condo was spacious and the lanai was very comfortable! The Condo is extremely warm for sleeping we kept the doors open and we still used only a sheet on the bed. The condo is very well stocked with everything you can imagine. Towels, spices, snorkeling stuff, boogies boards, chairs, cooler, backpack, grocery bags ect. I can't even list it all. It definitely made packing easier. You are located at the end of Ali drive which is great because the noise is very reduced, the shopping mall at the end of the street is nicely located for early grocery shopping as well as Longs Drug store for all of your needs. The one thing that could be improved and this is no way related to the condo owner is the pool rules are a little obscene, don't go there thinking like a hotel pool, no balls, no games, no fun. The live in tenants see to that. Not only were my kids challenged on toys in the pool so was a lady with a 5 year old jumping off the side into the pool as diving when he was just tipping over. So ridiculous.
I highly recommend this property, its exactly what you need for a great holiday on the Big Island.
Comfort on quiet edge of Kona
The four of us found this place very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook and some extras. We were able to walk to the Sheraton-Kona and the Akule Cafe for lattes, food and sunsets over the ocean. There's a farmers market on Wednesdays in the Sheraton parking lot. After our days of swimming in the beautiful, warm ocean, we absolutely appreciated the peaceful lanai and comforts of this condo.
Great location for conveniently traveling the island
This condo was everything we were hoping for. The spacious lanai was perfect for evening dining while watching the sunset. Efficient, easy to use gas grille was used regularly. We woke each morning to the variety of chirping birds, then had breakfast on the lanai overlooking the golf course. The owner, Pat, is very responsive and accommodating and the on-site manager, Jimmy, is friendly and went out of his way to help us out. Pat's directions were easy to follow and accurate. The assigned parking space is only a few steps from the walkway and short stairs leading to the condo. Every room has a ceiling fan including the outdoor lanai and there are portable fans which can be moved around, although we did not need them. The condo complex is quiet and we had no noisy neighbors. Great location!
