Why Pam Jones chose Northern Michigan

Northern Michigan boasts countless activities to enjoy throughout the 4 seasons. Crooked Lake is an all sports lake that is part of the famed Inland Waterway which is 40 miles long and includes 4 spring fed clear water lakes, 3 navigable rivers and eventually outlets to Lake Huron. The Inland waters are great for watersports, fishing, cruising and hanging out with friends at the many sandbars throughout the Waterway.

All new bike trails have just been added for bike riding and walking between Alanson, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey. More to come later.

Mackinaw City is just a 35 minute drive away and from there, take a ferry to the ever popular Mackinaw Island.

The fall color tours are spectacular.

The Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob ski slopes are just 10 minutes by car.

Snow mobile trails are very close by as well.

There are two marinas within a mile of the condo, Ryde Marina and Windjammer Marina. Both have a large selection of rentals from kayaks to pontoons with waterslides.

So many choices!

Great location and BEAUTIFUL!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a weekend, for a wedding we were attending in Bay Harbor. Not only was the place roomy enough for our group - 5 people- but it was only a 10-15 min drive to Bay Harbor. Place was immaculate, clean, up-to-date, and really cozy. During the day we sat outside on the back deck, and enjoyed the water (which was no more then 20 feet from the deck). As I said, we attended a wedding in Bay Harbor, but also enjoyed the short trip into Petoskey. Everything was local and convenient. I highly recommend this place!

Great rental only one small issue.

  • 4 of 5

First just to be clear, the place is great, none of us regret staying. The front door makes you think of castles the location is about 12 minutes from ski places and the upstairs is huge.

Rules are pretty simple and the Wi-Fi is thrown in. Only gripe we had, is that heat distribution upstairs is really bad. The thermostat is in the master bedroom facing the lake, and the cold really radiates of the glass balcony doors. If you turn up the heat in that room, trying to make up for it, the other 2 bedrooms get insanely hot. Again we solved it after the first night by burying the couple in that room in blankets and keeping the doors open everywhere, but it's something to be aware of in the winter.

Again, don't let that keep you from staying there, the lady owner of the place was great at communicating everything to us and the place was amazing in every other way.

Perfect Northern Michigan getaway

  • 5 of 5

This condo is beautiful - it was absolutely perfect for us to stay for our honeymoon. The location can't be beat - 10 miles from Petoskey, 10 from Harbor Springs, and 35 from Mackinaw. The updates are gorgeous - this place was exactly as pictured. We had the best time staying here and would book again in the future! Can't even imagine how great it is in the summer when you can swim in Crooked Lake - the shore is 20 feet from the back door!

Ski weekend fun!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights in February with another family (4 adults & 5 kids all together!) for a ski weekend and there was plenty of space for all of us to sleep. Everything was very clean and new - the kitchen is incredible!) and there were plenty of towels, etc to use for all of us,. The living area is very small for this many people during the winter, especially because the Olympics were on and we all wanted to watch, but that was not a big deal because we were skiing all day. It would also be fine in the summer because you would be outside on the deck which would extend the living space. Overall a great place to stay.

We would definitely come back and stay again.

"It's like Heaven!"

  • 5 of 5

Those were the words uttered by our seven year old grandson as we prepared to leave this perfect beach condo after having spent the Labor Day weekend in... "heaven". The lake is literally right outside the door of this perfectly planned property. The interior design is charming, unique and well furnished with a fun bedroom for kids and a lake view master bedroom with private balcony. We were very appreciative of the quality of paper products and bath and laundry soaps that were amply provided for our entire stay. If you needed it, it was there! So nice not to have to travel with the bulk of those items. Just pack your clothes and head out to this most comfortable and relaxing home away from home. We all decided that we could live right there! There are so many things to see and do in the area that time will fly by leaving you with the idea that you should return at the earliest possible time. This is a true five star property. Thank you, Christy!!
