Come relax and enjoy the Inland Waterway and all Northern Michigan has to offer from this 'like new' condo.
Northern Michigan boasts countless activities to enjoy throughout the 4 seasons. Crooked Lake is an all sports lake that is part of the famed Inland Waterway which is 40 miles long and includes 4 spring fed clear water lakes, 3 navigable rivers and eventually outlets to Lake Huron. The Inland waters are great for watersports, fishing, cruising and hanging out with friends at the many sandbars throughout the Waterway.
All new bike trails have just been added for bike riding and walking between Alanson, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey. More to come later.
Mackinaw City is just a 35 minute drive away and from there, take a ferry to the ever popular Mackinaw Island.
The fall color tours are spectacular.
The Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob ski slopes are just 10 minutes by car.
Snow mobile trails are very close by as well.
There are two marinas within a mile of the condo, Ryde Marina and Windjammer Marina. Both have a large selection of rentals from kayaks to pontoons with waterslides.
So many choices!
Great Fall get a way, one block to the 26 mile Rail- to- Trails.
We enjoyed some warm October weather that allowed us to drink coffee on the back deck. We spent a full day in the U.P. at Tahquamenon Falls and the shipwreck museum. The property sits 1.5 hours away from that destination so it was a great launch point. Was also very nice to return to in the evening
The condo was nicely furnished with comfortable beds and bedding. The bathrooms and kitchens were completely renovated with top end finishes. There was plenty of room for all eight of us. We all enjoyed the sunsets on the lake. The only negative was that all the rooms are up stairs and the condo is right next to the road so the car noise kept us up at night.
This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. It was very clean and exactly as the photos and description show. We will definitely be staying here again.
Stayed here for a weekend, for a wedding we were attending in Bay Harbor. Not only was the place roomy enough for our group - 5 people- but it was only a 10-15 min drive to Bay Harbor. Place was immaculate, clean, up-to-date, and really cozy. During the day we sat outside on the back deck, and enjoyed the water (which was no more then 20 feet from the deck). As I said, we attended a wedding in Bay Harbor, but also enjoyed the short trip into Petoskey. Everything was local and convenient. I highly recommend this place!
First just to be clear, the place is great, none of us regret staying. The front door makes you think of castles the location is about 12 minutes from ski places and the upstairs is huge.
Rules are pretty simple and the Wi-Fi is thrown in. Only gripe we had, is that heat distribution upstairs is really bad. The thermostat is in the master bedroom facing the lake, and the cold really radiates of the glass balcony doors. If you turn up the heat in that room, trying to make up for it, the other 2 bedrooms get insanely hot. Again we solved it after the first night by burying the couple in that room in blankets and keeping the doors open everywhere, but it's something to be aware of in the winter.
Again, don't let that keep you from staying there, the lady owner of the place was great at communicating everything to us and the place was amazing in every other way.
This condo is beautiful - it was absolutely perfect for us to stay for our honeymoon. The location can't be beat - 10 miles from Petoskey, 10 from Harbor Springs, and 35 from Mackinaw. The updates are gorgeous - this place was exactly as pictured. We had the best time staying here and would book again in the future! Can't even imagine how great it is in the summer when you can swim in Crooked Lake - the shore is 20 feet from the back door!
