Gorgeous 3 bedroom 2 bath condo located on one of the finest beaches on Crooked Lake. The condo changed ownership in May 2013 and has been completely renovated since that time. Renovations include a brand new kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances, high end cabinets, solid surface countertops, oil rubbed bronze fixtures, all new lighting, plumbing, dishes, cooking and eating utensils, etc...
Both of the bathrooms were gutted and have all new vanities, countertops, tile flooring, lighting, toilets and furniture. The downstairs bathroom has a brand new tile shower.
There is brand new carpet and tile flooring throughout the condo. Every wall and ceiling has a fresh coat of paint, and woodwork/trim have a new stain.
The three bedrooms on the second floor have all new furnishings including beds, chests, decor, and bedding.
Each bed has a down comforter with a duvet cover which will be washed after each guest.
The master bedroom is located on the water side with spectacular views, a balcony for sitting and drinking your morning coffee, and a queen sized bed.
The second bedroom has a queen bed.
The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds and a twin over double bunk bed. This room has been decorated, with no expense spared, as a bunk room straight out of Pottery Barn.
There are two brand new flat screen televisions. On is located in the living room which also has a DVD player with plenty of movies on hand and the other in the master bedroom.
Come relax and enjoy the Inland Waterway and all Northern Michigan has to offer from this 'like new' condo.
Northern Michigan boasts countless activities to enjoy throughout the 4 seasons. Crooked Lake is an all sports lake that is part of the famed Inland Waterway which is 40 miles long and includes 4 spring fed clear water lakes, 3 navigable rivers and eventually outlets to Lake Huron. The Inland waters are great for watersports, fishing, cruising and hanging out with friends at the many sandbars throughout the Waterway.
All new bike trails have just been added for bike riding and walking between Alanson, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey. More to come later.
Mackinaw City is just a 35 minute drive away and from there, take a ferry to the ever popular Mackinaw Island.
The fall color tours are spectacular.
The Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob ski slopes are just 10 minutes by car.
Snow mobile trails are very close by as well.
There are two marinas within a mile of the condo, Ryde Marina and Windjammer Marina. Both have a large selection of rentals from kayaks to pontoons with waterslides.
So many choices!
Great Fall get a way, one block to the 26 mile Rail- to- Trails.
Perfect location for winter fun! We came up for a weekend of snowmobiling. Close to County Wide Rentals (if you don't own your own, which we don't), and access to snowmobile trails is right across the street. Home is exactly as described, and provides all needs. Clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable for our group of 6 adults.
There are two reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars. 1) Construction was in process in the area to the condo entrance, which was unexpected. However, another property owner that we encountered was also unaware, so it's possible the owner/property manager was unaware. 2) A prior review mentioned difficulty with controlling the temperature upstairs. The heat in the master bedroom was not functional, yet the hallway and remaining upstairs rooms were extremely warm, and I question the accuracy of the thermostats. My husband and son were able to determine that the water that provided heat to the master bedroom was turned off; I left a message for both Christy and Pam on the numbers provided on Friday evening, and we never heard back from either the entire weekend. We were able to somewhat remedy the issue in the master bedroom by using fans to draw warmth into the room; however, the bunk bedroom remained uncomfortably warm for those sleeping in that room. Advice on how to properly heat the upstairs would be appropriate; or an adjustable temperature fan would have made the master bedroom comfortable without making the remaining upstairs sweltering.
Despite the above, I would have rated the property 4.5 stars if I could have. The property is a perfect location for both winter and summer fun! The owner quickly responded and was very helpful prior to our trip.
Nice place. Updated, clean. There was an internet/ cable issue so we had to have servicemen over to get wifi (which was never resolved, so we didn't have Internet.)
The condo itself was not under Construction, but the condo next to it was, which we had to walk through to get into our place. Not a terrible situation, but it wasn't ideal, as that wasn't disclosed to us.
We enjoyed some warm October weather that allowed us to drink coffee on the back deck. We spent a full day in the U.P. at Tahquamenon Falls and the shipwreck museum. The property sits 1.5 hours away from that destination so it was a great launch point. Was also very nice to return to in the evening
The condo was nicely furnished with comfortable beds and bedding. The bathrooms and kitchens were completely renovated with top end finishes. There was plenty of room for all eight of us. We all enjoyed the sunsets on the lake. The only negative was that all the rooms are up stairs and the condo is right next to the road so the car noise kept us up at night.
This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. It was very clean and exactly as the photos and description show. We will definitely be staying here again.
Stayed here for a weekend, for a wedding we were attending in Bay Harbor. Not only was the place roomy enough for our group - 5 people- but it was only a 10-15 min drive to Bay Harbor. Place was immaculate, clean, up-to-date, and really cozy. During the day we sat outside on the back deck, and enjoyed the water (which was no more then 20 feet from the deck). As I said, we attended a wedding in Bay Harbor, but also enjoyed the short trip into Petoskey. Everything was local and convenient. I highly recommend this place!
