Bienvenido to our tiny bit of heaven on the Riviera Maya. Our unit is located within a small condominium complex in the quaint Mexican village of Puerto Morelos. You will find that the two bedroom condo has been recently refurbished and redecorated. The living area offers comfortable seating with a dining room overlooking the pool, gardens and the beach. The condo has a full bathroom/shower with an additional powder room making it ideal for four adults or a family of four or five. Guests are provided with a TV/VCR, DVD player and a CD player with an accompanying library of CDs. The kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities of home. The terrazzo, complete with a patio set, is steps away from the pool. The pool is ideal for swimming lengths and the perfect spot to cool off in the heat of the day while sipping your own margaritas! The beautifully maintained gardens offer several palapas complete with small tables, chairs and lounge chairs.
The condominium complex of Villas Playasol in Puerto Morelos is very centrally located on the Mayan Riviera. It offers a very rich diversity of activities within the village as well as up and down the coast of the Yucatan. A leisurely 2 block stroll (beach side or street side) takes you into the charming village which has a wonderful assortment of ethnic restaurants and cantinas as well as Internet shops, a bake shop, espresso bar, fresh fish market, grocery store, ATM machines, liquor store, pharmacy, laundromat, travel agency and many wonderful artisan shops. The Town Square hosts many local events which celebrate the special holidays of the Mexican and Maya people. (For the most part the area is bilingual, both Spanish and English are spoken.) Start your day off by watching the sunrise over the water and then take a long walk or jog on the endless stretch of beach. Take a lesson on a wind surfer, arrange a fishing, snorkel or scuba excursion.
Beyond the gardens you will be able to lounge and play on the powdery white sands of the Caribbean. Our beach has several palm trees and palapas that offer protection from the heat of the day. Lounge chairs are provided. The sand is never hot underfoot so that beach games can take place throughout the day. The second largest barrier reef in the world is just offshore. This section of the Palancar Reef has been dedicated as a National Marine Park and offers wonderful snorkeling and scuba opportunities. The reef also provides calm, clear and safe waters for our beach. For the junior swimmers there is an 'ojo' and some coral heads that have an abundance of corals and sea life. Wearing life jackets while snorkeling is mandatory.

As you can see by the photo, our condo is jointly owned by 4 very good friends! We have holidayed together with our families forever!!! The four of us have always wanted to own a retreat ~ on a ski hill or on a beach. Our hearts were won over when we visited and stayed in Villas Playasol, Puerto Morelos. This condo was for sale and 2 months later we claimed ownership! Whew!
Now we are able to enjoy this small little paradise with our kids and their families. How lucky we are!
Please come and visit our condo.....we promise you will leave a little bit of your heart here........
Tina, Scott, Charlotte & Michael
PS.....Michael is our booking agent...he is the guy that you are chatting to via email

We fell in love with the small fishing village, Puerto Morelos. The Mayan culture is fascinating, with many ancient ruins to visit.
We loved the kid friendly beach, warm blue waters and the wonderful snorkeling.
Reading & relaxing under the shady palapas, Playing soccer on the beach with the kids. Swimming in the ocean and the pool. Margarita time on the terrace of our condo!!
Once again we have had a lovely time here. Snorkeling is always a high point but this year we saw our first turtles, spotted eagle ray foraging for food, 2 holes of fresh water coming up into the ocean, a lion fish, and the usual array of colourful fish. Yoga on the beach was special. We managed to do six sessions....and my non-yoga husband surprised me by enjoying it. We love the new little restaurant down on the beach, Merkidito. The shrimp tostados were incredible. Cenote Verde, groceries in Chalum, renting bikes, daily walks, and the Little Mexican Cooking School were great. What can I say? I love this place!
We were very fortunate to have a week in this wonderful condo. Traveling with children and grandchild who was 13 months this condo had everything you could think of! All the basics (and more) for cooking. Things to do if the weather does not turn out perfect. The ideal location for those wanting a quiet holiday or those with families. The location was close to all the amenities such as shopping, restaurants and right on the beach. It is also a great location for adventurers who would like to go on tours or take local transport to access Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen or Cozumel. Very convenient was the regular visits from the manager who spoke fluent Spanish/English and was available to answer questions. The beach and water in this part of the beach were very well kept and absolutely gorgeous!
What a great condo: clean, cool, quiet, roomy: literally steps from the large and lovely pool. All the comforts of home PLUS being on a beautiful wide beach of super soft sand - what more could you ask for? So much fun strolling along the beach and playing in the waves; it would be safe for small children. This was our first visit to Puerto Morelos but not our last! It is such a pleasant little village with good restaurants and close to so many attractions. Our favorite was the snorkeling at the reef - we thought it was every bit as good as the Hol Chan Marine Preserve in Belize - only in P.M. you get lovely wide beaches without the eel grass. Rats - I shouldn't have said that - now everyone will be going!
We stayed in this condo for 2 weeks. It was a great layout for myself, my husband, our 4-year-old and Grandma. We loved sitting outside by the pool and watching the iguanas. The bedrooms have fans and AC which made it really comfortable for sleeping. There were sufficient linens and the owners have beach chairs, an umbrella and coolers for guest use. Thanks! The unit was very clean and nicely furnished.
I really loved the location of the complex: right on the beach and an easy walk to town. The complex was very well maintained. We quickly learned that Ave. Ninos Heroes had the best food for authentic, reasonable fare. Our favorite dinner was at the Uruguaian place (south of plaza) for the steak-delicioso! The loncheria by the pier was also a favorite. The biggest dissappointment food-wise is that the grocery store on the square is relatively pricey and the staff is surly. The weekly farmer's market is great, and it is really easy to take the circulating buses to the other side of town for meat and better produce. That said, we ended up renting a car and it was really inexpensive, so then it was easy to go across town anytime.
We did the snorkel to the reef and it was nice. The water was pretty cool - even with my "shorty" wetsuit! The guide was great at pointing out things I would never have noticed, like a lobster. Crococun was also very neat. Akumal had nice snorkeling from the beach and Laguna YalKu had amazing fish to see. Next time we'll do Xcaret and head inland to some ruins. We hope to come back every other year from now on!
My family and I had a great stay at this property. The pool was steps from our door we could see the ocean, which had a great big sandy beach. We were able to do some good snorkelling right in front of the property? It was only a few minutes walk to town where there were lots of restaurants and a market. Daily fresh fish is available from fishermen.
The condo was clean, well maintained , and the daily maid service was such a treat!
I would recommend this place to friends and family.
And hope to book a return trip next year to the same place!
