Smoky Mountain Tree House is a spacious 2 bedroom, 3 bath A-Frame style chalet overlooking a Mt. LeConte view just 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. Although we are close in proximenty to all of the attractions in downtown Gatlinburg and many quaint shops and restaurants, the cabin is located on a paved road and enables you to escape to the serenity of the forest in just a few minutes. Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge is only 1 1/2 miles from the cabin where you can enjoy bobsledding, skiing, snow tubing, live bear habitat, a sunken ice skating arena and the airiel tram which glides on a cable over the tree tops for about 3 miles into downtown Gatlinburg offering stunning mountain views..

With 2 large bedrooms, 3 full baths on 3 levels and an open floor layout this cabin will comfortably accommodate the entire family.

Each of the level provides you with options to meet the wishes of everyone in your family. The lower level is the rec. room with with fireplace, tv with cable, sitting area, card / game table, darts and outside access as well a full bath.

The main level boasts vaulted ceilings in the living area with lots of windows to enjoy the serenity of the Smoky Mountain views. The upper level has the second bedroom which also has a queen bed and a full bath.

Cable TV is located in every bedroom, the living room and the recreation room. The cabin is Wi-Fi enabled throughout, so bring your laptop and you can stay “connected”, if the urge hits you.

Our cabin is conveniently located near the main entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg, and just 9 miles from the entrances of Dollywood and Dolly’s Splash Country in action packed Pigeon Forge. Just a couple of miles from the cabin and you’re right in the heart of the attractions, entertainment, shopping, and a wide range of dining selections on the main parkway of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

The “Parkways” of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg offers fun for all ages with go-carting, in-door laser tag, and video gaming arcades for the kids; and hundreds of shops offering quilts, antiques, and a wide range of local shops with arts, crafts, and collectibles that make the days long and the stories even better. When evening falls, there are numerous options for entertainment from musicals, to magic, to shindigs and down home country fun.

As the sunset fades and night moves into morning, you’ll once again have the opportunity to enjoy coffee or tea from the lovely deck as the sun rises. We hope this wonderful panoramic view of nature will leave you with memories that will endure you to return again and again.

Gorgeous Mountain Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the "Smoky Mountain Treehouse"! My husband and I and our 3 teenage children enjoyed a 4 night stay. The cabin itself is really quite lovely and the online photos do not do it justice. Plenty of space for all of us, a fully equipped kitchen, TVs in every room, A/C, and gorgeous views. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony, enjoying the fireflies and the lovely mountain breezes.

This home is conveniently located close to Downtown Gatlinburg, and The Smoky Mountain National Park. We enjoyed zip-lining, hiking and shopping while we were there.

My husband and son even saw 2 bear cubs one morning while taking out the trash!

The owner, Rebecca was super friendly and very accommodating. We highly recommend staying here and hope to get back again someday.

** As Floridians we were shocked at the steepness of the community roads and the driveway. We had never driven anything like that! Thankfully the top of the driveway has plenty of room to park and turnaround. After the second day we got the hang of it and it was all good.

Great Weekend Stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed the weekend along with another couple. We were so pleasantly surprised by the chalet! It was clean, beautifully appointed and in a great location. It was just far enough away for it to feel like a nice "retreat" but close enough that it didn't require a lot of travel time.

I wasn't clear that the fireplace was wood burning or we would have brought some with us. That's the only minor thing and probably an oversight on my part. But, great weekend and we really appreciated the cleanliness of the accommodations. Would definitely come back!

If you stay, Ski Mountain Pizza is great and will deliver food and firewood!

great cabin and location

  • 5 of 5

Came for a quick get a way with a friend and have to say this cabin was fantastic! The location is perfect as it was easy to find and a quick trip down into Gatlinburg's main drag. The view is beautiful and the cabin is warm and inviting.

Highly Recommend!!

  • 5 of 5

Property was very clean. It had all the amenities we could need. My children were thrilled with the layout and their room. Rebecca was very friendly and helpful when I called to get an extra night added.

Driveway was very steep, might be hard to get a front wheel drive car up it with several inches of snow. Other than that, I can see nothing negative about the property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review! So glad that you all enjoyed our cabin and we look forward to you visiting again. The driveway is steep but it does level off of at the top for easy parking... During the months of Nov - early April there is a possibility of snow and we recommend 4 wheel drive during that time of year. We do offer travel insurance through Travel Guard at booking which does cover inclement weather.
