Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We had a great time staying in this bright orange house. The woodstove was amazing -- very easy to start a fire and no smoke in the house at all, unlike most fireplaces I've been acquainted with. :) Everything was immaculately clean and everything worked as stated (TV, DVD player, wifi). Walking distance to several fun cafes, restaurants, and shops. I would definitely stay here again!
Overall, it was a nice experience! The staff was incredibly, above-and-beyond helpful, in answering our pre-vacation questions. Also, the next door neighbors helped us when we had difficultly figuring out the key box. Very kind of them and we appreciated that!
The home was SO close to everything. Literally roughly a block away from the main stretch of town and maybe two "blocks" from the beach itself? Wonderful location!
The home itself was actually really spacious and had a fun, cozy, vintage, cabin vibe to it! The piano was also a really fun touch!
Our only minor issues were that the master bed was incredibly soft, which meant that you would end up sleeping sort of at an incline, as your body would slope down as you sunk-in. Also the kitchen table arrangement is not like the one that is pictured. The table is currently at bar height and the seating are un-cushioned, wooden bar stools. Which was a little painful on our tailbones but not a deal breaker or anything, however for a family with small children, you might want to keep that in mind.
You will also want to clean all of the dishes before using them. We found food particles and a greasy sheen on many of the kitchen items/plates that we used. The cabin has no dishwasher and the policy is that the renter is supposed to clean the dishes before they leave, which obviously leaves you at the mercy of how much the renter before you, actually cares about doing a good job.
Overall, very cute home though! Great location, helpful staff, and a fun experience (for a great price)!
There were some improvements made since our last trip - a new (brighter?) coat of paint outside, the new table is lovely and the recliner is super comfy! Staff were kind enough to leave us a disposable roasting pan for our turkey (which came in handy because I left the rack for my roaster at home) and there was a perfect amount of all the little necessities. As before, the movie and book collections were quirky and fun (Jaws is the perfect ironic beach movie, LOL!) and my tech-dependent teens were very grateful that the wifi was working this time around. This is an adorable little home and perfect for my family. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Great location and was pleased with what the home had to offer. You just need to watch out for the Raccoons at night. There was a pack outside of the house everynight. Don't let your pet outside alone.
Very nice older home. The place was clean. Lots of room for such a small place. Will stay here again.
The home was very clean, well stocked with books and movies. I loved the uneven floors thruout the house, it reminded me of my Grandmas house (old) Even thou it rained the whole time there I had a great time, I will rent it again.
