Peaceful Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful! We arrived on Saturday afternoon after doing a hike about 20 minutes away. When we arrived, everything was in its place and spotless. The view of the lake from inside the cottage was spectacular! The cottage interior was beautiful with the wood and stone combination. It was perfect for our needs this weekend. Even though it was a bit chilly out this weekend, we still enjoyed time around the campfire making smores and mountain pies, kayaking, pedal boating, grilling outside, and hiking. It was awesome that 2 kayaks and the pedal boat were provided for our use! (And life jackets!). It was nice to have the General store close by so that we could pick up our fire wood and anything else that we forgot. Thanks again for everything! We hope to be back someday! :)

Peaceful, comfortable, beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this property and we probably will return again. We woke up each morning, brought a cup of coffee onto the patio to listen to the frogs welcome the new day, then waited for the bald eagles who would fly by as if on cue. The lake would be slightly different every day, every hour, but always stunning - I still could spend an hour just gazing out at that scenery. The location is convenient to hiking trails nearby, or you can take out he kayaks and go explore the lake, or take a walk around it or just relax at the house. In the evenings we would sit around the outdoor fireplace , watch the sunset and wait for the stars. No stress, no hassles, just peace and beauty. The house was very well equipped with anything you would need to prepare meals and the local market is just a few steps away if you need anything. I wish there was a little more lighting in the main room, but that is the only thing I wold change about this property.

Lovely Place

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely little place right on the water. Very beautiful and relaxing. And in a great location with countless things to do - hiking, swimming, kayaking, or just hanging out in nature. The place was perfect and the owners were very helpful with any questions we had. A great value too. We'd return in a second.

Wonderful experience

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I spent two lovely nights in this cozy home! The cabin was definitely more than spacious enough for just the two of us, and we couldn't get enough of that beautiful view! Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfect for days of relaxing and fishing. My only complaint, which is very nitpicky, is that the lighting was a little odd and none of the dimmer switches worked. However, this is a completely minor complaint and in no disrupted our vacation! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home, amazing view, wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

The property is, indeed, away from it all-- an amazing experience when you're subject to the continuous rush of city living. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to this spacious cabin; awesome woodwork throughout, an amazing river rock accent wall, and a very grand ceiling. Details really make the stay that much more excellent.

Additionally, the views directly off the grand room were breathtaking. The house is literally 20' away from the water (but sufficiently elevated).

Although I am accustomed to a queen bed, the full size bed was comfortable. All in all, it was an amazing stay, and my only regret was that I did not have more days to spend in Lisette's cottage. Looking forward to my next stay up there.

Fantastic Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I can only say that this was the most wonderful vacation we have had and we've been on a lot of vacations. The cottage is clean and well stocked with things you'll need. All you have to bring is your clothes, your sheets, and your food. The view is beautiful and the owners are extremely nice and supportive. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and have a restful vacation. Our favorite restaurant was Mountain Memories, although she is only open for breakfast and lunch. She is a wonderful lady and her food is all home made, also her coffee is always free. It also has a gift shop there and I just loved it there. You do have to travel quite a bit to see anything but that's ok. We also loved the Adirondack Park Museum, it was the best museum I've been to. Take my word it was great.
