Melodie Crawford purchased this farmhouse in 2014
This property has a rich history of having been a working farm for many generations. For 25+ years it was home to an antique mall. We just purchased the property in early 2014 and are converting it into an event venue, rental home, and antique mall. We love the peaceful serenity and the vintage vibe of the property and are excited to mix that with modern elegance that our guests expect.
-Scenic view of the property from almost everywhere in the house
-Large patio for entertaining or family meals. The patio features a gorgeous large stone wall with a fountain and overlooks the pond
-Large back porch for relaxing and enjoying the view
-Convenient to two major highways: Rt 322 & Rt 283 for easy navigation
-Banquet space available on-property for large events
My family and I stayed at this home for our Christmas celebration and it was perfect! The home was beautifully decorated with a Tree and other festive embellishments, the fireplaces (gas!) kept the house nice and toasty, and the setting was lovely. Close to Hershey Park; 3 spacious bedrooms (and a fourth small bedroom with no door on the second floor); no complaints!
Would definitely recommend to others regardless of the time of year, as the outside space looked spectacular as well!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was the perfect location for our needs and the staff was very accommodating to our needs. There were a couple of questions that came up during our stay and they were always right there with the answers. They definitely went out of their way to make our stay even better!
Beautiful property and house. Close to hershey park and other attractions. This was our second time at this house and we loved it again!
From the very 1st second of opening the front door to the last second after locking it up until next year...WE ALL LOVED THIS HOUSE!! Style, comfort, PRISTINE LANDSCAPE, Wonderfully helpful and generous staff made this double family vacation the absolute best yet!! Not to mention minutes from the park!!!! We WILL be back!!!!
My 5 girlfriends and I stayed here from Friday through Sunday morning in mid-March. Since we live along the East Coast and had planned many reunions in East Coast cities, we decided to plan a weekend away from the city... in a house where we could just enjoy each others company and lounge around cooking and chatting all weekend. The house was great. Its an old historic home with all the charm that normally comes with it. The property is gorgeous on a few acres of land with a small pond and outdoor seating. Unfortunately we had a rainy weekend so we stayed inside, but it was still quite cozy! The only complaints from the weekend were that the cooking pans and sheets were not non-stick, so it made cooking a HUGE pain for cleanup. We also did not have access to wifi (it only worked in the kitchen), and the tv only had 4 channels. Not a huge deal since we spent most of the weekend chatting, but we expected to have the ability to connect to wifi. The heat in the master bedroom was also very hot while the kitchen was freezing, but I understand its hard to heat an old house. Lastly, the speakers in the house weren't working - again, not a huge deal (this was also not included in the rental so we did not expect them) but it would have been nice to have as we played music on our iphones the whole time. Overall a great stay!
Maria was wonderful to work with during the booking process. She was there to greet me upon arrival, and Jenn showed up to introduce herself as well.
The home itself was exactly like the listing. It was a beautiful mix of rustic and modern. It was also very clean.
I did leave a few tips for the property manager about stocking the kitchen better. If you plan to cook, please note that only cookware will be available - no oil, salt, pepper, etc.
Overall, it was a great stay. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this property or recommend it to a friend. As a matter of fact, some of our local friends who stopped by the property to hang out said they will recommend it for out of town guests!
