Beautifully water front apartment located on the south west corner of the island of Puerto Rico . It is in the middle of a National wildlife reservation. The Caribbean see in front of the apartment has no waves and it's perfect for paddle boarding ,kayaks and jet skiing.The historic Cabo Rojo light house and La playuela ( one of the top beaches in Puerto Rico. ) are 3 min car drive to the end of the road.There are many other amenities in the area to explore like ,bicycle trails and the historical salt mines. Combate beach is 5 min away and Boqueron is 20 min away. The Dry Forest of Guanica and La parguera ( bioluminescent bay) are 30 min away. Queen bed in master room. A full bed and 3 twin bed in guess room . Living room has 2 full size futons. The pool have two whirlpool , out door gazebo are available first come first serve. Laundry facilities with coins washer and dryer. Parking for two cars only. Ocean view front and back .

I call this place paradise . Specially located in a National nature live reservation, historic see salt mine area that still harvesting salt to this days, and having ocean front and back view you will have the most amazing views. This place relax you and rejuvenate you.
You will wake up every morning with a beautiful sunrise out of the bedrooms windows and in the evenings you will enjoy the most spectacular sunsets facing the Caribbean see.
The condo, while somewhat desolate, had all the beautiful views that were represented on HomeAway. We enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning, looking over the mangroves and watching the birds start their day. Directly behind the condo and facing the master bedroom windows are the salt pans; the sounds of trucks and work crews starting their day around 7 am were also part of our morning experience, as were the condo's small workforce, which starts the morning before 7, sometimes with power tools. We didn't mind the sounds, but then again, we're from NYC and used to noise...and one of us slept in earplugs nightly. We had a restful experience overall.
Arriving was not so rewarding, however. The directions were not fully explained. We would advise renters to ask explicitly for very clear directions before they start driving. We also had an awkward key handoff. It took us an hour to locate the person who was to greet us and deliver the keys; he struggled to give us directions to find him and the property.
Also, the condo wasn't prepared for renters when we arrived. There were dirty sheets in the laundry basket, and the bed was unmade. There were no more sheets to fit the bed, so we squeezed smaller ones on and made due. The water was turned off, and we had to make a call to get directions to locate the taps outside. Some of the lights and fans didn't work, as the clickers were no longer functioning, and the kitchen's dimness made it tough to do the chopping. There were notes that indicated where to find keys to open the gate that divided the condos from the mangrove bay within view, but the keys were nowhere to be found. So, we ended up enjoying the look of the mangroves, but would have liked even better to have explored their beach on foot.
To her credit, the owner was a text message away. When the water went out again during our stay, we texted her, and she arranged for a worker to come right away to get it working again. And she discounted our stay 20% to make up for the difficulties.
In sum, we would have wanted a better experience with the condo, but we also appreciated that it was a well-outfitted base for exploring fabulous nearby beaches, hiking, and bird walks within the many protected areas of Cabo Rojo.
The apartment is beautiful. It has 2 rooms - 5 beds). One room with a queen bed and another with 2 bunk beds (4 beds). It also has 2 futtons in the living room. Nice kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The listing description is accurate. It is in front of the ocean and at the back it has a lagoon and a sea salt industry. The property was clean and well-maintained. It has a nice pool. The light house and the best (natural reserve) beach in the main island of Puerto Rico (La Playuela or Playa Sucia) is at walking distance, but I prefer to use the car. (Remember that it is a nature reserve and do not has restaurants at the beach. You wil need a cooler, water, snacks). The apartment is only for people that love the contact with nature and understand what a mangrove is. If you don't like the smell of the mangroves, it is not a place for you. For me it is amazing!!! I will stay there again!!!
El propósito de mi estancia era para celebrar los 18 años de mi hija en un ambiente acogedor, divertido, accesible a las playas y atracciones turísticas. Mis expectativas fueron superadas ya que el apartamento cuenta con esas descripciones y más. El apartamento está completamente equipado, cocina equipada con los utensilios necesarios, las habitaciones espaciosas y cómodas, también equipadas con sábanas, almohadas, aire acondicionado, toallas. Los baños limpios y en muy buenas condiciones, la sala y comedor bien distribuidos, acogedor. Al ser apartamento de esquina, te da una grado de privacidad, la vista es espectacular ya que en la mañanas puede tomar un cafecito y/o desayunar con la vista al mar y en las tarde puedes disfrutar claramente de la puesta del sol. Hermoso!!! La piscina, área de gacebos y 2 estacionamientos están en perfectas condiciones. Al momento de mi estancia, el apartamento tenía disponibles hamacas para llevar a los gacebos y sillas de playas y aunque no lo utilicé también tenía BBQ. Es fácil de llegar al lugar donde ubican los apartamentos, puedes visitar y disfrutar de la majestuosa vista del Faro de Cabo Rojo, en auto a 5 minutos del apartamento, puedes optar por visitar Playa Sucia y 8 a 10 minutos la Playa de Combate. En la noche puedes ir al Poblado de Boquerón también accesible y fácil de llegar. La persona a cargo de la coordinación de las llaves del apartamento, súper amable, accesible y atento a cualquier necesidad. En mi opinión, lo único fuera de proporción fue el seguro obligatorio a pagar, entiendo que fue alto el costo para el tiempo de la estadía. Fuera de ese detalle, repetiría mi estadía allí!!
