Reviewer Comments:

Overall, Symphony is a great complex to stay at whilst in Whistler. It provides close access to everything without being in the middle of the Village scene. The condo has safe, secure and free parking, plus it's close to the parking access stairs. This is good for both bikes and kiddos. Symphony 47 is a studio, spacess enough for a couple with a younger child, but it's one room so there are sacrifices in privacy. The downfalls of this condo are the usual items; poor quality mattress, small old style TV w/ sketchy DVD player, washing machine (stacked unit) had a lid that wouldn't stay open, fireplace was turned off and thin walls and floors that made it possible to hear others next door (@4am). The upside is the inexpensive price, room was clean and easy access to Lost Lake, Valley Trails and Tandoori Grill, as well as Splitz Burgers! A few upgrades and we'd be back without hesitation...

Reviewer Comments:

My husband and I spent seven nights at Symphony studio apartment 47.

We found the place very well equipped for two people, four may be a squeeze. The location was very convenient to shops and free shuttle bus route.

The only gripe we had was a noisy fridge which was more noticeable as this was a studio.

We would definitely stay there again next time we visit Whistler.

Reviewer Comments:

It was a nice little condo. We are only three so it suited us pretty well. Had just enough furnishings in the kitchen to save us from bringing our kitchen with us. We like to cook our own dinners. a little noise from the neighbors but nothing we couldn't withstand. The room was clean. The room was a little far from the slopes but not a real hassle, free bus across the street.

Adequate

  • 2 of 5

Pros: quiet facility (for the most part, I could hear the person next door going to the bathroom....), clean, plenty of towels for a family of 3, close to village

Cons: bed is hard as a rock, fold out couch is incredibly uncomfortable, small, no staples in the kitchen such as salt and coffee filters, only one saute pan (forgot about making pancakes & bacon at the same time), upon checking in at the office the facility amenities were not made known to us. (did they have dvds, games, pool etc? )

I would say this particular condo would be good for a small group of young adults vs family who do not care much about cooking meals etc. I understand that it's the facilities policy that they are not allowed to leave any food items in the rental but it would have been nice to have coffee filters at least.

We've stayed in Whistler too many times to count (we were married at the Edgewater) and this condo was disappointing. I definitely see the benefits of renting directly from an owner vs a management company. I wouldn't recommend it to families and we will not be coming back to stay here.

PS-this is not a 1 bedroom but a STUDIO. It should not be advertised as such in the main headline for this property.

Pros: quiet facility, across the street from the village, clean, plenty of towels for a family of 3

Cons: bed was hard as a rock, fold out couch bed incredibly uncomfortable, very small space, nothing in the kitchen not even salt or coffee filters so make sure you bring your own, only one saute pan (forget about cooking pancakes and bacon at the same time)

I would say this space is better for young adults vs a family. (people who don't plan on making their meals) We have stayed in Whistler too many times to count and have been used to the owners of a condo leaving the basics such as salt etc. I understand it's in their policy that they are not allowed to leave food items and I wish I had been aware of that beforehand. No coffee filters though? (we left the ones we bought, hopefully they keep them in there for the next group who stays) All in all it was adequate but definitely won't be staying there again.
