About The Owner

I'm a real estate broker and property manager . when the condo is not rented, I stay there. I have all the amenities I need. parking . close to everything. wifi , cable tv. etc.

Why The Owner chose Centro Carretera

This is condo is in downtown rosarito beach. you are close to all the nightclubs.

there are restaurants , liquor stores, tour guides, taxis, public transportation,

from the 12 story high rise condo you can walk out to the public beach and walk

miles on the sandy beach. this is a private owned condo and has been upgraded and is decorated as a second home not just a rental . big screen tv , high speed internet

2 Jacuzzi and 1 pool . the most important reason is because it is a 24 hour gate guarded secured complex .

What makes this condo unique

You don't need a car . you can walk to shops, restaurants, beaches and night clubs.

we have a nice sized balcony with 180 degree ocean view. we have a patio table with chairs and umbrella . no one else have these amenities

Doesn't get any better

Rented this condo for a weekend and it lived up to my expectations. The suite was clean, came with all the amenities one can think of (including a great sound system to get hyped before going out) and had a phenomenal view. It was extremely easy to get a hold of Rick so all of my questions were addressed in a matter of minutes. Overall great stay.

Average, not as expected

The apartment was good, clean linen except for the extra couch/beds in the living room which are very hard and uncomfortable. The party/noise alone the beach did not bother us, it was actually very enjoyable. What really disappointed us was the swimming pool, it was chilly I mean frozen, and the jacuzzy that was very dirty, smelled like raw/boiled eggs. The parking lot gets full soon so no way you want to drive around town because you'll loose your spot. In general, the apartment was enjoyable but what I mentioned degrades it's comfort drastically.

Owner's Response: jesus , thanks for your review. we are looking to replace the futons in the near future . in regards to the community swimming pool and jacuzzi i will file a complaint with the hoa and make sure that it is maintained properly. this is the first time someone mentions the pool and jacuzzi. it also depends on the time of the year you go. the parking is sometimes full and most of the time there is plenty of parking above ground and underground . perhaps you were not aware of the underground parking available. im sorry to hear that you were not 100% satisfied with your stay and we wish you the best on your next trip.

This property was ok but there are no plugs nor proper lighting

Small condo which offers the close proximity to the town and beach. That said, there is absolutely no plugs for your phones or other items. The lighting is ok at best. It’s incredibly dim and the living room lighting only has small accent lights. There is no air conditioning so upon arrival the condo was so hot it was unbearable. The bedrooms have backboards with lighting, however, because there is no plugs, they don’t work. They have an extension cord you can pull to the bed in order to use electricity. The beds have matching bedspread and pillows but no actual pillows to use. We took the covers of the set off and had to use the pillows/wrapped in a towel there because we forgot ours. Upon departure we left everything exceptionally clean, we swept, mopped and cleaned the restrooms. The maids hardly had to clean, but even so, the owner decided to keep our deposit WITHOUT any type of warning. He claimed we took the pillow case covers as if we have some type of matching set at home. I explained that this didn’t happen and I afforded him multiple opportunities to refund me and he maintained some claim that we took them. These couldn’t be worth more than $10 together if that. I was promised a call back within a day or two and as I figured, no call and not a care in the world about my money. I let him know my discontent with his keeping my money and that owners get to charge us 100% upfront but take their time getting back to us with refunds. His response... I’ll get back to you in a few days. Much to my Non-Surprise he kept my deposit. I now have to reach out to my credit card company and contest this transaction all together. Glad we are protected by our credit card companies. I plan to reach out to VRBO directly and advise then of our discontent. I tried so many ways to let him know there was no way we would ever steal something from someone especially not an old used bed pillow cover, but we have no recourse when they make claims like this. How does he know the maid didn’t steal them? I am not in the habit of writing reviews like this, but it’s unfair to the consumer when we try to negotiate a fair deal and the owner doesn’t hold their end of the bargain. I suppose this is a lesson for renters like us. This was a last-minute reservation and the only choice we had on this particular weekend and now it’s one I regret more than ever. It really only sleeps 6 comfortably and your not told only one car parks inside safely. 2nd car parks in the streets

Owner's Response: i am totally baffled by this tenant who admitted his wife did take the pillow covers off and we are not able to find them. i do not have any interest in keeping a dime from any of my hundreds of happy repeat customers i have had since 1980. i personally went and looked in every dresser and the entire condo for the missing pillow cases that his wife admitted she took off the bed. i did let the customer know that if i located them i would gladly refund the 50 dollar i deducted from this deposit. i have had the same maids for over 3 years with nothing missing , and we do have more valuable items than some pillow covers so the fact that this disgruntled tenant accusing the maid of stealing says a lot about him. the cost of the missing items are not 10 bucks. when you consider the time it takes to go an look for a matching set or have to buy a whole new set. i never accused this tenant of stealing anything. i know that tenants sometimes throw their laundry and sometimes accidentally throw our stuff in there. i know sometimes tenants damage the pillow cases and sheets with heavy duty make up and ruin them . i know that sometimes they accidentally have thrown them in the trash because my maid finds them in the trash. i truly dont know what his wife did with them after she took them off the bed but what i do know is that it is missing and now i have to take the time , energy and effort to go get a new set. i could have easily claimed the entire 100 deposit , but in trying to be fair i only took 50 . that being said it is very sad person who admits to have taken off the pillow cases and then wants to shy away from all responsibility , put a bad review in this website just because they are irresponsible says a lot about them . we wish you the best of luck where ever you stay .

Beautiful ocean view-more for young people!

Let me first preface this by saying the condo is amazing. Very, clean, comfy beds, linens were fluffy, and all questions quickly answered by Rick. That being said, unfortunately we would not return. Pappas and Beer is right out the balcony. The noise and music was unbearable into the wee hours of the morning. Since there in no air conditioning we have to either be hot and close the windows (although we could still hear), or keep windows open to a wonderful breeze but blaring music. I think this condo would be wonderful for a certain age group. As we are in our sixties now, we just wanted quiet and relaxation. When returning to Rosarito we will go further south to find a little more quiet. Also just an FYI if you travel on a holiday week-end expect to spend 5 hours plus crossing the boarder. Thank you Rick for your hospitality.

I really enjoyed the property, and ocean. The security personnel were very good as well.

My over all stay was great. A couple of thing a did not expect was Jack hammering of replacing of pool concrete the who time, but understand during slower times thing need to get done. The music from surrounding the beach is a bit piercing ( I know that it is a vacationing area but most nights music is too load. I want to say thank you to both Rick and Wendy with all their support and help.
