Marshmallow acres is amazing in that attention is payed to every detail. The kitchens are equipped to handle both small and large gatherings. Theres a bed and bath on each floor to ensure plenty of privacy.
We strive every year to continue to update .Most of our profits go right back into the property. To ensure every guest is comfortable.
House numbet two was only house renovated. Very up to date and pretty nice. Only thing mouse infested. Caught one too many mice in a weeks time. Mouse droppings in all vents
We chose this rental property to host our small wedding getaway. The landscape is lovely and the interior is tastefully rustic. Though just a few of us stayed overnight, we were able to have about 30 friends and family enjoy a relaxed day in the lodge with a potluck meal.
The two kitchens were clean and well stocked; which was crucial for meal preparation. Though we did not accept the owner's offer to assist with wedding planning or catering opportunities, those were services offered. There are many event planning options nearby because of close proximity to Cooperstown and Oneonta.
We were married by the pond, as it was a perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. The master bedroom had a romantic atmosphere, the other bedrooms were comfortable, and the two living areas help create a low key wedding setting. There are three hotels located very close to the venue for guests staying overnight if needed. We are very grateful to have started our marriage with our friends and family at such a beautiful and clean facility.
Again, it is a lovely venue for an intimate wedding and Michelle S Rose Photography captured it well! She is local, professional, and does excellent work! This rental's owner and we, The Wrights, recommend this photographer, please search msrosephotography to book with her and receive a deal if you choose to stay here at Marshmallow Acres.
We highly recommend this lodge to enjoy, comfortably stay, host a small gathering with class, and for wonderful memory making!
This house was just as described, but better! 5 friends and I rented this house for a friend's birthday and it was the perfect retreat to escape from the city and relax while exploring the town of Cooperstown/Milford. (The house is within 15 minutes of Baseball Hall of Fame, Ommegang Brewery and restaurants.)
The house was clean, well kept, extremely spacious, private, cozy and we all felt at home. The house is charming and woodsy with great mountain style decor that doesn't feel overdone. The kitchen was large and we were all able to cook and eat around the large dining table that was connected to the kitchen area. Lots of space to move around. The first floor can be closed off if you wanted to have a separate living/tv space...but the main 2nd floor was big enough for all! The bedrooms were all cozy with provided linens and blankets and were all quite comfortable. The master bedroom is enormous! As we arrived on a snowy night, we were nervous about being chilly at night, but the home was already heated and was perfectly comfortable all weekend long! (The owners daughter turned the heat on ahead of time for us!)
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend away, and a perfect home to stay in. A special thanks to Katherine and her daughter for their quick responses leading up to our stay and answering any questions, as well as offering suggestions of where to go and eat in town, and making our stay as comfortable and easy as possible.
This home was amazing! It was everything we were hoping for in a vacation home. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The owner was more than helpful and recommended great spots for meals and things to do! We are hoping to get back there very soon!
