This recently built cabin is tucked away in the mountains of beautiful Cowee Valley, Franklin, N.C. This cabin has the comforts of home and yet, is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Relax and breathe the fresh mountain air while listening to Mother Nature sing! The cabin is a great place to sit back and take it easy! Enjoy the beautiful scenery that Western Carolina has to offer along with a variety of fun activities all around.
Bearadise Cabin is perfect for one or two people. It has one bedroom with a king size bed and two bathrooms. It has a full modern kitchen and is equipped with supplies for light cooking. Some of the amenities include ac/heat, a small washer/dryer combo(for small loads of wash), and internet(Wi-Fi) service. A television is in the bedroom with a Blu-ray for watching movies. The Blu-ray will allow you to connect to Netflix if you have an account. There is no cable, so there's plenty of time to go out and enjoy Mother Nature. There is a no pet policy as well as no smoking policy. It's a great place to finish that book you've been meaning to read!
I grew up in Cowee Valley. I always loved the mountains and wanted to be able to spend some time there. My husband fell in love too. So, we decided to build a great little vacation home near my parents home. While we are not vacationing in it, we decided to share our beautiful home with you.
Toula Clark purchased this cabin in 2014
The land that the cabin is built on has been in my family for generations. A little old white cabin used to sit near the existing cabin which belonged to my great grandmother. Growing up in Cowee Valley and missing the presence of her cabin, encouraged me and my husband to build this cabin. My parents live a stone throw away from the cabin as well as some other family, so, it's a great place for us to take a break, relax and visit with family. We vacation in our cabin and want to share our favorite getaway with you.
Franklin and the surrounding area is loaded with sight seeing, specialty shops, and fun activities.
We are packing up and heading out right now. The photos and write up in VRBO do not do the place justice. The cabin looked like we were the first people who had ever stayed here. It was immaculate and decorated beautifully. If you were building your own cabin, you would want this owner to do the decorating.
Sitting in the living room or on the deck, the views were magnificent. Even with some bad weather, the views were spectacular. There was a road out front but we never saw or heard a vehicle.
Kitchen was well equipped with finest dishes and cooking equipment.
Perfect place for a couple to get away from it all.
We were in Franklin doing some work on our newly acquired property ...this cabin was nine minutes from our land and very convenient...It was the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in, and we stay often in that area..the kitchen was especially well appointed and a cook's dream...the master bath was great; loved the stone shower and rain head...we watched movies in bed on the master tv...only drawback for us, a 69 year old couple with mobility issues who stay in a lot, is lack of a tv with cable in the living room....we watch a lot of tv and would have enjoyed that...perhaps a music system of some type would be nice also...The view from the living area is fabulous!!! Beautiful mountains...but if it's sunny, the sun pouring in that room from about 4 to 6 is brutal...you can't see your pc or phone , so we sat on the porch until the sun went down...I talked to the owner , who was so helpful and attentive, and we discussed possible solutions for those windows......every little question i had was answered immediately....the fireplace is so cozy and we used it on several cold mornings and nights....All in all, I would recommend this cabin to a couple for a get away...really close to downtown and easy access...there is a trundle in the loft for a adult or child or two...
The cabin is well built, has high quality appliances, beautiful furniture, and breathtaking views. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and any and all questions were quickly answered by Toula. The only thing that surprised me was how close the cabin was too the road. The road has very little traffic, so it wasn't a concern, but looking at the pictures I assumed it was set further back.
Many great things to say. The cabin is well built and decorated nicely. The shower in the master bathroom was especially nice, large and decorated in stone. King size bed is very comfortable. Thought I would miss having cable tv but enjoyed spending time talking. Netflix is reasonable alternative.
Great location with a wonderful view. We enjoyed reading on the covered front porch and watched some deer out back.
Cabin shows like almost new. Strong internet connection works on front porch.
We used the location to visit Smokey Mountain National Park and also drove on a waterfall tour.
No problems just a great getaway!
My husband and I traveled to N.C. from Texas for our first visit to the Smoky Mountain area. This cabin was perfect for the two of us. The owner was responsive and helpful during the booking process. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our stay. We knew in advance that there was no cable TV, however we were surprised that there was not even access to local channels (due to the hurricane on the east coast we only wanted to be able to track it). We would definitely recommend this cabin. The view is breath-taking and very quiet and peaceful. We recommend that you get a map of Franklin in advance to help you navigate around the area. Beautiful cabin located in a beautiful part of the country. We hope to be able to visit again.
