My family and I live in Jacksonville, FL but love getting up to our lakehouse on Lake Lanier.
The Owner purchased this chalet in 2004
My family and I love the beauty of Lake Lanier as well as its location relative to Atlanta and the North Georgia mountains.
Our Lake Chalet offers beautiful vistas of Lake Lanier as well as a dock just down the gentle path that allows us to jump in the boat and spend a great day on the water or just go out on the lake for a short spin.
Our family spent 4 nights at the cabin and enjoyed it thoroughly. We were looking for a simple, quiet place to enjoy swimming and play. The dock accommodated our boat nicely. We spent most of our time on the large screen porch and outer deck grilling. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning kept us cool, t.v. (even though we didnt want it on) kept the kids happy. Thanks for having the games on hand for us to use.
This is a very nice house, everything is as advertised. Very clean and in good order. Lake was just down the hill, a bit of a hike but not bad. A small town is close so that you can shop for groceries, just make sure you buy charcoal for the the grill. Air conditioning worked great too ! The loft would be great for kids and they wouldn't mind the soft beds. The TV and Wifi worked fine. The driveway was steep but easy to manage. Again, I would rent it next summer. We very much enjoyed our time here. Lots of good family memories.
Our family can highly recommend this delightful cabin on beautiful Lake Lanier. We found the house to be clean and nicely furnished. All beds were quite comfortable. Our teenagers loved having the loft area to themselves. The kitchen was very well-equipped and we cooked several meals there. The walk down to the dock didn't pose any issues for us but is down a wooded incline. The dock itself was in great shape and we spent most of our time there fishing, swimming and boating. (brought our own boat) The covered porch is the real gem of this cabin -- fully screened with lovely view of the woods and lake. Internet and TV worked perfectly. Our only complaint was the AC didn't seem to function fully but the tree cover kept us relatively cool. The owner is very responsive to contact and I have no doubt that he would have sent someone out to check the AC if I had called. Great neighborhood - very quiet. Would rent again.
We stayed there last year for 3 nights and all was okay... It was a cozy cabin like feel...Nice screened porch. Master BR was okay size....very small bathroom and tiny shower. Overall it wasn't very clean.. would make a big difference if carpet was replaced. Long rocky walk to the lake and no lake views from house at least in the summer...all woods. Don't use too many towels or they will charge you more money for cleaning and will take it out of your deposit. This was a reasonable price but the fact that they charged more for using a few more towels kind of left a bad taste...
This place is so very clean! I did not see one single bug (except for the outside flying ones!). The screened in porch was great. I could relax on theoutside couch with my laptop (the wfi worked all of the time). The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and i enjoyed reading under the covered part. Very calm place to stay. The air worked great, the master bed was comfortable. The kitchen was a little small but all of the appliances were updated and worked. The TV with surround sound was great!! It was easy to work with the owner. You will enjoy this little chalet in the woods!!
My husband and I spent 3 relaxing months at the Chalet. It is comfortable and has all the amenities needed to make you feel at home including a fireplace. The beds are very comfortable, and if you have kids they will love the spacious loft with 2 double beds and a TV. We really enjoyed the big screened-in porch overlooking the lake and sometimes ate our meals out there. One of the things we did for fun with our grandchildren ages 4 and 6 was a 20 minute trip to the "Interactive Neighborhood for Kids" in Gainesville. After 4 hours they had to be bribed to leave. We took a couple of trips to Dahlonega (30 minutes away) to go through a gold mine and visit the wonderful little shops in this quaint town. When I wasn't shopping there I was at the North Georgia Premium Outlets which is only 12 minutes away. We took a trip into Atlanta to see one of the best aquariums in the world. For dinner we often got take-out from Big D's Barbeque on the corner of Hwy 53 East & GA 400. It has yummy southern barbeque. My husband and I both love fishing and fished off the large dock where we caught lots of catfish, largemouth bass up to 5 lbs. and striper - one was 15 lbs. We observed many Charter boats fishing right in the area. We were also happy that there was a new large fishing supply and bait shop about 15 minutes away. We had a great relaxing time and hope to return next winter. The owners are easy to communicate with.
