4 Bedroom, 4.5 Bath House with Loft, Full Kitchen & Kitchenette on Access Road

Our fully furnished Stratton home that has ample space for one or more families or for a couple wanting to host guests while still retaining their privacy. Located within view of, and walking distance from, the Village base area, everyone can walk or board the shuttle to the mountain to take on their favorite activities and gather together around the large dining table near the fireplace at the end of the day to share their adventures.

Throughout the house, you will find some of the owner's heirloom Austrian furniture, imported from a family farm in Schladming, Austria. There are many closets and storage spaces to hold all you will need for an entire ski season or extended stay.

Wi-fi is available throughout the house and two flat-screen televisions with dvd players will keep everyone entertained with movies and cable television.

The first floor features two ensuite bedrooms with kitchenettes. One has a queen bed and a separate living room with a double pull-out couch. The second has a queen bed. Also on the first floor is the direct-entry two-car garage, an infrared sauna room, the laundry room/waxing room and a large hallway and entry area.

The second floor features two bedrooms. The ensuite Master has a queen bed with walk-in closet and a balcony. The other bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed separated by a knee wall. A full bath just outside the second bedroom is also easily accessible for guests. The focal point of the home - the floor to ceiling stone fireplace in the living room - is surrounded by couches. The long farmhouse-style dining table seats 12.

The kitchen is easily accessible from the dining area and has recently upgraded appliances. A pantry closet is located close by and the mudroom off the kitchen leads out to a wraparound porch with barbeque grill. Just off the porch is a shortcut that will take you across the street and onto a path that is maintained by the Stratton Corporation and leads straight to the mountain.

There is enough parking outside the garage for 6 or more cars, double parked. A lawn with border gardens and natural landscaping surround the house.

Renters have the ability to access the nearby Stratton Training and Fitness Center for a fee. The Fitness Center offers cardio and weight training; an indoor saltwater pool; a full schedule of fitness classes including yoga, cycling, kettle bell and cardio; tennis; massage; a hot tub; and steam rooms.

In addition to the mountain, there are numerous activities and events in the surrounding area. We encourage you to check out the Stratton Mountain Ski Resort website and the Manchester and the Mountains Chamber of Commerce website for more information.

About Kelly Wieser

Heinz Paul and Anna Maria Wieser, originally from Austria and Italy, respectively, first came to Stratton to teach skiing on weekends in the 1970's. An easy commute from their home in Massachusetts, they built their Stratton home as a weekend retreat where they raised their kids to be ski racers like themselves. Both Anna and Heinz were Masters Ski Racing National Champions!

Heinz, a landeschileher - the highest-ranking level of Austrian ski instructing certification - taught for over 40 years before cancer forced his retirement and eventually took his life. The annual Heinz Paul Memorial Ski Race celebrates his memory with many friends and family joining together for a fun but competitive ski race and Austrian apres ski.

Anna retired from instructing for Stratton in 2014 after 35 years and looks forward to skiing with her grandchildren in New Hampshire and Austria on sunny days in the future.

Anna's family is in her native Italy; her daughter and her family live in Austria; and son and his family live in New Hampshire. Anna has decided to spend more time with all of them and thought that renting the house would make sense for her at this time.

Kelly Wieser purchased this house in 1980

Why Kelly Wieser chose Stratton and Bromley Ski Areas

A warm and welcoming family-friendly retreat, Schladming Haus has been the site of many happy and memorable occasions for the Wieser family and they are excited to share it with you.

What makes this house unique

The house is close to the mountain with a wood-burning fireplace. The bedroom set-up allows for private space even when a large group is in residence.
