Sliding doors open on both sides of the living room, and both sides of the master bedroom, to look into the pool courtyard on one side and the blue pacific ocean on the other.
There are 2 queen beds, 2 king beds and two air mattresses.

All rooms open to the beach or the courtyard pool area. Located on an almost-private sandy beach that is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The sandbar creates ideal body surfing waves all year round, and the outer reef protects the swimmable area from large winter swells. Turtle Bay Resort, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the famous North Shore surf is right down the road. The coastline to the south of the property all the way to Kaneohe offers great shoreline fishing - bonefish (oio), ulua, etc. This quiet country area has a waterfall hike across the street in lush tropical rain forest. Owner reserves right to rent to only one group per each 30 day period.
If your are planning an event or wedding please let us know how many guests will be attending. We do have an event fee. The maximum amount of guests is 100. Call for details. ALWAYS me call to verify your booking before sending payment, 808-225-3619. We would NEVER ask you to wire funds to any account.
We do not provide equipment or toys for the pool or any infant bedding. You can rent cribs and highchairs from Paradise Baby Co.
One of the most beautiful luxury estate on the North Shore of Oahu!
The quietest, almost-private beach we have seen on Oahu, coupled with a top-quality luxury estate home in every regard. The private pool courtyard offers tranquility in complete privacy, and the sandy beachfront on the oceanside offers gorgeous white sand, swimmable beach all year (the outer reef protects the inside area from large winter swells). The swimming area is sand bottom, with a little sandbar, making body surfing the gentle waves possible. Many other areas are rocky reef as soon as you enter the water.
I have written this same review on Tripadavisor twice, and both times after my reviews have been approved, the property listing has been pulled down, likely because I cannot provide a five star rating.
It is a really nice house and they provide everything you need for a pleasant stay. The photos show an immaculate property with green lawns and from afar, everything looks brand new. Up close, the furniture has been sitting out, likely for a couple of years, which is normal for patio and lawn furniture and it is showing it's age and wear. I do not think this is horrible and it does not make for an uncomfortable stay, I am simply noting it as I would with a hotel if I stayed in one. Updates could make a huge difference. The lawn, when we were there in October 2016 was not lush and green, but rather many dirt patches as if it had seen heavy traffic. They were clearly making improvements to the property while we were there, which I will discuss.
We stayed for three nights in this home while attending a wedding onsite and we never got a good nights sleep because we could not get the AC to work correctly in the upstairs bedroom. There are signs posted that we should rely on the tradewinds which are amazing and should be enough to cool the home, however even with all windows and the bedroom door open, we could not cool that upstairs bedroom down nor could we get the AC to do a proper job.
We were frustrated that there was construction going on the wall along the property the entire time we stayed. They were there the entire day and even into the late afternoon/early evening. If we had wanted to use the backyard during the day, we would have to be fine with construction workers being a part of our day. I also found this annoying when I went to take a shower upstairs and could see straight out to the men working on the wall.
While in the photos the pool looks clean and welcoming, when we were there, no one in our party really felt like it seemed a swimmable pool, rather a decorative feature? Perhaps a good cleaning/update of the pool would help?
The property has direct access to the beach but it is not the picturesque swimming beach you might anticipate in Hawaii. It is untouched and beautiful, but if you're looking for a "vibe" of people laying on the beach, you will not find it around this property, so that is just something to consider about the North Shore in general. The only place on the North Shore you will find that scene is Turtle Bay.
When searching for ocean front estates to have our wedding ceremony and reception at, this place stood apart from the rest, and it did not disappoint. The home from top to bottom was absolutely stunning. All of our guests kept asking how we found this gem. Our stay here was simply memorable; the best part was a mama chicken and three little chicks who kept us entertained as they kept trying to come in - we loved those little chickens haha! Dusty, the caretaker, was great and he gave a great walk-through that made us feel comfortable about our stay. I've read on here that some people felt he was constantly coming over and somewhat intrusive, but we never got that vibe from him AT ALL. He made sure we were all set and gave us our space to prepare for our wedding and hold our event (I would give him even extra points for just looking cool too - awesome beard!). While we only had four couples including ourselves staying here, our wedding had close to 40 guests (not counting all of the vendors) during the day of the event and this estate accommodated this number easily. My biggest advice for having a wedding here: Use reputable vendors as they will already know this venue very well. Weddings are held here all the time so everyone from my caterer (Memoirs), DJ (Spectrum Entertainment), and florist (Easley Designs) knew this place like the back of their hand. This is extremely valuable as they can navigate the coordination / planning of your wedding in this home (Super helpful!) and understand all the rules and regulations to prevent damage to the property as well as remain respectful of surrounding homes and guests. As an extra advantage, we rented the 5 bedroom home next door which allowed some family and friends to stay close by and since the property is only separated by large plants, we did not feel like we were sharing the property with some other vacationers (or possibly disturbing anyone during our event). We cannot wait to come back to Oahu and when we do, this estate is our #1 choice when we do!!!!!
This is an amazing property. All the bedrooms are exceptional, but the two master bedrooms on the second floor are gorgeous and well-appointed. We stayed for a week in late July 2016 with four adults and four children (ages 5 to 13). The beach access is fantastic and comes as close to a private beach as you can get. Bring your boogie board! The pool is a real gem as well. It is a perfect pool for the kids to play in after spending some time at the beach.
Dusty the caretaker was very responsive and helpful. The house was clean and very comfortable. We were sad to leave.
There are only a couple of negatives I would offer, and they are the only reasons I give the property 4 stars, rather than 5 stars.
1. The sliding doors in the home need some repair work. They were very difficult to move and slide, obviously due to the salt air and sand. Not a big deal.
2. This is totally outside the control of the property owner or manager. We were surprised by the amount of trash washing up on the beach during our stay. This was not seaweed or coconuts or the usual ocean debris. This was mostly plastic trash - little tiny bits and large pieces. Not sure if that was just a one-time bad luck occurrence (we had a tropical storm stirring up the water during our visit) or a regular occurrence. Perhaps the owner can shed some light on that. Some days the surf was clear of debris, but a couple of days it was really noticeable the amount of debris is the water. It kind of made you go "ewww." This would wash up on shore creating a line of trash on the beach.
Otherwise, this place is as close to paradise as I have come. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Some general comments about the North Shore. Be sure you rent a car. Great snorkeling at Shark's Cove! Sunset Beach is beautiful. We zipped lined at CLIMB Works and hiked to the Crouching Lion. We surfed in Hailewa. But, it takes some travel. Bring groceries and booze! The liquor store pickings are slim, but you can find some in a pinch just down the street!
The Polynesian Cultural Center is worth a visit (especially the evening), but you may not want to stay there a full day. A little goes a long way.
Wonderful house! Wonderful trip!
We held our wedding at the Hale Koa home this past month and it was the best experience we've ever had!! The detail of the house was so beautiful, there wasn't much we needed to add! The beach was steps from the house, spacious. The house keeper, Dusty was super nice, there and available for anything we needed =)
We were thrilled to find this property just as the photos. Love the semi-private beach. It's out of the way, but close to many enjoyable excursions and groceries store. The home is a work of art, designed to maximize enjoyment of its beach site location. Dusty, the caretaker was very helpful, prompt and accessible. Highly recommend this property.
We were happy to find such a beautiful property and house to have our daughter's baby shower and
get a way for our family. Property manager's response was quick. Care taker Dusty was very accommodating.
He was really nice and easy to work with..on setting up for our event and stay vacation. My grandaugther loved
access to the pool with warming fire pit and nice sandy beach. We even got to see a Hawaiian monk seal who
decided to rest on the shore. My husband loved the surround sound system throughout the house.
Thanks for a wonderful time. We we would love to come back.:)
