|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Be prepared for a breathtaking view of the upper Yellowstone river basin aptly named Paradise Valley! Completed in 2011, this second floor cabin is perfect for watching deer, antelope and coyotes move about on the nearby hills. It's easy to spot an eagle soaring as well as other raptors as they search for their dinner. Emigrant Peak is framed by the living room window where you can sit and relax after an adventurous day in nearby Yellowstone National Park. The cabin's theme is wildlife: moose, deer, bighorn sheep and bison adorn the walls and linens. The large private bedroom has a queen-size bed and huge closet and the living room couch easily folds out into a comfy queen size sleeper. The full kitchen and bath have everything you need to make your stay feel just like home. The cabin originally built as a barn never housed any animals; instead, the first floor is used as a library/office but only when there are no guests. Most guests enjoy the cozy feel of the cabin and extra special personal touches provided by these owners who will do everything possible to please their guests! You won't be disappointed.
Once you settle in, take a stroll a few feet away and dip your feet into 8 Mile Creek or set up a chair to take in the full beauty of the valley. A private, sheltered barbeque and outdoor dining area gives you views of the mountains surrounding the property where you can share memories of the day's events or enjoy the amazing night sky.
The biggest attraction, Yellowstone National Park is a beautiful 34-mile drive from the cabin. The drive follows the Yellowstone River and places you at Roosevelt Arch, the northwest entrance into Yellowstone National Park. While traveling, you will likely see more wildlife not to mention the majestic peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range to the east and the Gallatin range to the west.
Within 5 miles of the cabin is Chico Hot Springs, which is a year-round resort with two hot springs pools, an exquisite dining room and a family friendly grille. At night, the Saloon hosts various local bands featuring a mixture of genre to satisfy your musical choice. Yellowstone River, a short mile away, boasts some of the best fishing for rainbow trout. Or, if you like, you can float the river either by boat, raft or tube! The mountains in Paradise Valley have numerous hiking trails -- but don't forget your bear spray! Paradise Valley offers many adventures and Mountain View Getaway is located right in the middle of all it has to offer. Paradise awaits!

My husband and I are Louisiana born and spent our entire lives vacationing each summer to Yellowstone and the Tetons. We have five sons, now grown and married, and we are blessed with nine grandchildren! Our dream for retirement was to move to this area and we are now living that dream. We are eager to welcome others to the beauty and serenity we found in this special location in Paradise and have outfitted this rental just for this purpose. It is filled with animal photographs taken by us and rustic, western decor that we hope will make anyone's stay superb! Welcome to Paradise for a vacation you are sure to remember for years to come! The picture above is of four of our grandchildren playing in 8-mile creek behind out house.
Melody Yoes purchased this cabin in 2010
Spectacular views! Brand new! Clean as a whistle. Beautifully decorated with Western Decor. Three miles from fishing on the Yellowstone River. Yellowstone National Park only 30 short minutes away. Chico Resort five minutes from the doorstep. Bring your wine and binoculars and your astronomy knowledge and you will feel like you're in heaven! When you wake up you will realize it's only Paradise!
The view from the den of this cabin/barn is unique. Emigrant Peak's beauty rises in the distance and provides the perfect setting for sunset with a view of the mountains. Proximity to Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs and the town of Livingston and Gardiner is excellent. You will be awestruck with the beautiful vistas, animals and easy in/out access. Summer, winter or fall, this one-of-a-kind cabin is cozy and inviting for any traveler. We have had many travelers who have told us what a find this place was. One couple even called it a 'diamond in the rough.' It is brand new and has every amenity you could ask for.
Me and my fiancé stayed here in September of 2013 for five nights while visiting Yellowstone. We absolutely LOVED this cabin! It was homey, private, clean and the views are absolutely AMAZING! Exactly how the pictures show! The whole booking process was extremely easy and laid back and all of our needs were met. This trip was particularly special to me because my fiancé proposed to me in Yellowstone, so I will never forget our trip to Yellowstone or our stay at Mountain View Getaway. I definitely want to stay here again if we ever get to come back!
My boyfriend and I rented this cabin for our vacation to Yellowstone National Park, and we were completely amazed. The cabin was very spacious and very clean. It was completely stocked with everything we needed, from spices, to cook ware, bathroom towels and toiletries, etc. It was the perfect home away from home. The mountain views were absolutely spectacular, and the drive to Yellowstone each morning was very scenic and pleasurable. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here and we are so glad we decided to book this cabin. We definitely recommend this place to anyone coming in town for a visit. The privacy is great, and it was great to be away from the crowds, the noise, and the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. Thank you so much Melody for renting us this amazing place. We truly enjoyed our stay.
We loved out stay here! It was spacious with all the comforts of home. Everything you could need in the kitchen, clean living spaces and beautiful views. We were almost disappointed that we didn't have more time to just spend hanging out! Really nice to have satellite TV for the kid to watch and WiFi to help with planning our adventures.
Quaintly decorated unit in a very private setting with territorial views of Paradise Valley. Convenient to the north entrance of Yellowstone Park. Has everything you need including full size washer, dryer and well appointed kitchen. Enjoyed an evening visiting with the friendly owners. Great recommendation from them to see the Bar J Wranglers in Jackson, Wy. Definitely will come back on our next trip to the area.
This cabin was super cute, clean, and appointed with most of the necessities. The BBQ area came in very handy as we grilled each night. We played some games (bought Monopoly and left behind for future guests :) ). The location and situation worked perfect for myself and teenage nephew and niece. As advertised, it is about 30 minutes from the park and 12 minutes from Chico Hot Springs. There was a couple minor issues with the water (would just stop running) but it didn't last long and came back. I would book here again if back in the area!
This is a great set up for lodging in the Paradise Valley and absolutely one of the best value rentals we've ever used . . . and we travel a great deal.
The cabin apartment - which is the second level over a workshop/garage - has a living room, a fully outfitted kitchen, a nice sized full bathroom, and a great bedroom. The space is beautifully decorated, has the look and feel of a high end cabin on the inside, and has spectacular views from the large living room and bedroom windows. In addition to a kitchen with every conceivable appliance and utensil you would need, there's a washer and dryer in the cabin as well.
It's situated about 35 minutes from the park and 25 minutes from Livingstone. We found this to be an ideal location; close enough to drive to either without much effort, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and the noise. You do have to drive a couple of minutes on a gravel road to get to the house, but this ensured the quiet and solitude we want on our vacations.
The cabin is a couple of hundred feet from the main house, but is situated so the parking space, windows, and access door all provide unobstructed views to the mountains. The feeling is of complete privacy - the only time you see the main house is when turning onto the property - but the owners (Melody and Gene) are right there if you happen to need anything.
You access the cabin from an outside staircase that is wide and sturdy. We're in our 50s and had no trouble getting up or down, even carrying luggage.
This is a great rental for a couple looking for an extended stay option around Yellowstone. We'll use it again.

Yellowstone National Park (NW entrance) is 30 minutes south where you can hike, view wildlife, participate in Ranger led events or simply tour this national treasure. In winter, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing is a wonderful way to enjoy the park. You will see bear, bison, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, coyotes, eagles, possibly wolves, and if you are lucky, moose. Fantastic caverns are Lewis and Clark caverns about an hour or so away. There are beautiful vistas everywhere. Chicot Hot Springs is a 5-star restaurant and old western building with lots of weekend entertainment, and activities daily including well-known hot springs/spa, dog sledding in winter, horse riding in summer, as well as wedding destination. Three hours away is the little town of West Yellowstone with IMAX, enclosed grizzly and wolf habitat and learning center that both adults and children will love, historical museum, and snowmobiling in winter. This is the quaint little western town where the western entrance into YNP is located (near Old Faithful). The drive outside the park to West Yellowstone is alongside the beautiful Gallatin River, also a fishing lure for fly fishermen! There is no absence of activities to enjoy and the beauty of nature surrounds you.
