Nothing Missing Here.

We had only said a million times, "What a great place this is" , and it was. Steps away from a wonderland in the water. The life of the cove was evident with the day's tides. The cabin could not have been more comfortable. Clean well appointed comfortable rooms, well supplied kitchen. Hoping to return someday to make more memories. Thanks to Vanessa and Paul

My third visit to Vanessa's property. She is a great person-very responsive. She maintains a lovely little home that I thoroughly enjoy. Clean and well appointed. I love coming here!

The Cabin was everything we wanted it to be. Cozy, well stocked and the BIG lobster pot was a bonus. We explored the area and visted Mr. Morse down the road for all the fresh lobster we could eat. Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer. I could have easily spent 2weeks at the cabin and still not had enough of the beautiful view of the cove. Watching thei tide come in and out was amazing. We seen lots of different birds, many we do not get to see here in Michigan. Kingfishers, terns, blue herons, and many more. It is great that Vanessa allows pets, Maggie had her nose to the ground and ears up wondering was was making all the noise in the woods. It is close to everything, but tucked into the woods for a sense of privacy. If we ever end out that way again I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and would recommend this cabin to any of my friends or family. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Quiet and Rustic !!

  • 4 of 5

What a beautiful location, and so very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed ourselves. The owner's son and brother were very helpful when we had a problem with the sliding doors - very nice people.(everyone we met in Maine was very nice). Located near Thomaston, Rockland, Rockport, Camden, and Damariscotta- great towns to visit and poke in the shops. The cabin is more rustic than we anticipated... especially the bathroom however we did stay for two weeks. A shorter stay would not be quite as challenging. It is a very cute and memorable vacation place.

Rustic cabin surrounded by natural beauty.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was just as described, a great place to get away from it all. Vanessa was easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. Kayaking in the area was fun, although you have to keep track of the tide, and Nearby hiking was wonderful. Monhegan Island was easily reached by the Port Clyde ferry. We left our dog at Harbor Hounds in Rockland for doggie daycare and that was helpful when we weren't hiking with him. A pleasant, relaxing week in Maine.

Perfect quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for quiet relaxation, the cottage is tucked away on Seavey Cove, but with easy access to Rockland, Camden and beyond. Though there are neighbors, the woods are thick enough that it feels very private. We had a great week kayaking in the area (thanks to Vanessa and her husband for the tips!), eating great food, and just generally relaxing. The cottage is cozy and quaint, and stocked with everything you need. A few tips- we didn't have cell service at the cottage (though some do)- so be prepared to be unplugged, also watch your head in the shower, that shower head is really low!
