SUMMARY

This spacious 1650 sq ft (153 sq m) flat has 4 large bedrooms with 3 queen size beds, a futon bed, built-in wall closets, decorative fireplaces, charming oak beams, 2 1/2 bathrooms and it sleeps up to 8 people. All the bedrooms have windows that look onto a quiet courtyard.

The apartment is equipped with : washer/dryer, iron/board, hairdryer, unlimited high speed internet access, Wi-Fi, TV, movies/DVD player, telephone and a fully equipped kitchen with gas range, convection oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, panini toaster.

All linen & towels provided. No smoking and no pets allowed.

DESCRIPTION:

The entrance hall has numerous storage closets and opens onto a spacious living/dining room (485 sq ft) with a large fully equipped kitchen. There are several leather sofas, a glass coffee table, a dining table, counter top high chairs and a decorative marble fireplace.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside tables, armchair, built-in wardrobes, a decorative marble fireplace and an en-suite bathroom (no toilet) with a bathtub/shower combo, double washbasin, heated towel rail, decorative 19th century heating stove and a storage cupboard.

The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside table, built-in wardrobe

The 3rd bedroom has a queen futon bed, built-in wardrobe and a leather couch.

The 4th bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside table, armchair, built-in wardrobe.

(The 3rd & 4th bedrooms are connected but can be separated by a vertical blind curtain for privacy).

The 2nd bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower, washbasin, a toilet, heated towel rail, washer/dryer, and a large built-in cupboard.

There is also a 1/2 bathroom (washroom) with toilet and washbasin.

BUILDING INFORMATION:

The 19th century building is located on a side street near the metro Bonne Nouvelle in the 2nd arrondissement. This apartment has an elevator.

SUBWAY:

2-minutes walk to Bonne Nouvelle, Grand Boulevard metro stations, and numerous bus lines for you to explore the capital.

NEIGHBORHOOD:

This apartment is located within 15 minutes walk to many historical sights : Opera House, Louvre, Marais, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Place Vendome, the Palais Royal Garden, the Tuileries Garden....

Why Oliver & Marie chose 2nd Arrondissement Bourse

Paris was home before I moved to the US with my husband. All my family ties are in Paris. We bought the apartment in order to have a place to stay when I come back to visit my family. We are renting it out to partially cover the expenses associated with the apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

I like living in the 2nd arrondissement. It's at the heart of Paris and is within walk-able distance to all the Parisian attractions. The lively neighborhood market on Rue Montorgueil is very convenient for daily shopping needs, it has a charming French way of living and heritage without being too commercialized. I think this area of the Right bank is the best kept secret of all Paris.

Your place is absolutely perfect for our stay in Paris. It is immaculately clean, in a wonderful location, so spacious, and first class appliances and bedding. I slept in the bedroom next to the master, and loved the crisp cotton sheets and BIG windows. We all felt so lucky to have stayed there!



Please convey to Marie that she could not possibly have been nicer or more accomodating. Carolyn showed up earlier than expected and thoroughly enjoyed talking to Marie, who was completely gracious despite the inconvenience. Likewise, she let Lorie leave her suitcase there all day, which was so helpful and considerate. The wine is not at all important.



I think the makeup bag belongs to Kelsy, one of our 16 year-olds. If there is any way it could be mailed to the USA and the postage subtracted from the deposit, that would be great.

Great apartment for large family

7 of our extended family with 2 grandchildren (ages 11 and 14) stayed in this apartment for a week and loved it. It is very spacious so everyone was not on top of each other. There is plenty of room for eating together and relaxing in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking for a large group such as ours. The bathroom arrangements are unique, but worked well. It is on a quiet one way street and very secure. There is a small elevator to get the luggage up to the third floor and for anyone who was really tired of walking after a day of sightseeing. Taking the stairs appealed to those with fit bits! There is a metro stop within one block of the apartment and one on a different line about three blocks away so getting around Paris was easy. We did a lot of walking as well since the apartment is so convenient to the tourist sights, about 15 minutes to the Louvre. We all loved getting our food each day at the nearby market area, Montorgueil with wine shops, cheese shops, fresh fruit shops, delis, and small grocery stores. The baguette store was our favorite, and a must ! We did not know baguettes could taste so different , depending on where you buy them. One grandchild is gluten free and there is a NoGlu store nearby as well as a Natural Grocery store. We found Paris restaurants are not as gluten free friendly as London. Oliver and Marie were very thoughtful owners who responded quickly to our communications and questions. It was a great place for us to stay living up to our expectations and we all recommend it to any family who wants to enjoy some daily living in Paris!

Location, location, location!

We arrived with our family of 9 and were immediately taken. 3rd floor, with lift, adequate room for all. Easy walking to 2 metro stations, 3 lines. Very easy walk to Montorgueil (great!), Saint Eustache, RER. 15 minute walk to Louvre. In textile area with limited week day traffic and very limited weekend traffic (primarily pedestrian). Highly recommended. Very nice apartment in very nice location. Great owners provide for every basic need. Thank you Marie and Oliver!!

Large apartment in great location

We are a family of seven, including two teenagers and stayed here the last week in May for one week. Oliver was great to work with. He provided helpful information both on his website and in the apartment about things to see and do in Paris. The apartment was very clean and in a great location in the center of Paris. We were able to walk to Louvre, Notre Dame and the Opera House(to name a few). We were close to three Metro lines, grocery store,

restaurants and a stop on the HOP-ON/HOP-OFF double decker bus line. I would recommend using the double decker bus when you first arrive to get an idea where the different sights of Paris are. The apartment was much larger than what you normally would find in a major city in Europe. The kitchen was well equipped and good size.

Thanks again to Oliver for his prompt return of my security deposit. We may return for another stay.

Worked really well for our group

We had 5 adults and two kids with us at this lovely apartment in Paris for a week. The location is very nice- close to cafes, shopping and the metro and walkable to the many main sites. We liked the large family area with three comfortable couches; great kitchen and plenty of stocked items to make it liveable for us. the bathroom set up is as described on the website and a little odd, but not a big deal for us. The owner's directions were very helpful and he is available, along with the local contact for questions. Website pictures and descriptions are accurate. We highly recommend.

Great Aprtment for our Group!

We were a group of 7 adults. The location was perfect. It was quiet and near metro stations, grocery stores, restaurants and a nice walk to the Louvre. The owners were fantastic to work with. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, spices and a great Panini Press! Bathrooms had blow dryers, shampoo and soap. Washer and dryer in the apartment with laundry soap. Bring dryer sheets if you use them and plan to do laundry (cuts down on the amount of luggage you haul around). One room has a foton that is low to the floor and shares the room with another queen bed. The building has a small lift. You could easily miss the door to the building. Look ABOVE the door for the address.
