Description:

This wonderful and charming flat has much of its original 1908 Edwardian period details intact. Centrally located on a quiet street in the historic Nob Hill neighborhood, it's just 1 block away from the renowned Fairmont Hotel and Huntington Park at the top of Nob Hill. Step out the front door to many of the citys' major sites that await you just a short walk away; including the Cable Car Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, Theater District and Financial District. Live like a local with the sounds of chiming cable cars 1 block away and harmonious Grace Cathedral bells in the faint distance 3 blocks away. The location is ideal for experiencing this historic and exciting city.

The living room is warm and inviting getting wonderful direct sunlight in the mornings; featuring a 40” HDTV with cable, wireless internet and Bluetooth speaker/radio. The fully-equipped kitchen features Carrara marble counter-tops, refinished original and reclaimed softwood floors, stainless steel appliances and a double-stacked washer & dryer.

The flat ideally accommodates four people, but the small 3rd bedroom can easily sleep two extra people, totaling six. There is a queen-size bed in the 1st bedroom with a built-in armoire, a full-size bed in the 2nd bedroom with a closet, and twin-size bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom with a closet. The 1.5 split bathrooms are appointed with Carrara marble floors and sinktop, along with a restored original claw foot tub.

The flat is stocked with everything you need to make your stay comfortable: pots and pans, dishes and glassware, cooking and dining utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, along with a spice rack, coffee, laundry and dishwasher detergent, towels, linens, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

The drop-leaf dining table seats four and can expand to six by adding the leaf underneath.

Fabulous apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed 4 nights in this fabulous apartment. It was even better than described - impeccably clean and well stocked, with many thoughtful touches which made our stay very comfortable.

Beds very comfortable and even the bunk-bed room, although small, was just fine for 2 of our kids (the other lucky one got the double bed to himself!)

The kitchen was very cosy and well - appointed with coffee machine, appliances and plenty of crockery/utensils. We made good use of the washing machine and dryer which were very handy for a family.

The keypad entry system was excellent so we didn't need to worry about keys.

We went to Trader Joes a couple of times (what a fabulous supermarket!) and were easily able to prepare breakfasts and a couple of dinners in the well-appointed kitchen - it was nice to eat at home for a change!

The location was good on the cable car line, but we found that we walked most places (union square/ wharf) because it seemed quicker than waiting for bus/ cable car to arrive. And the exercise was good for us! Yes it's hilly, but you get to see more if you walk.

We had a fabulous meal at Harry's Hunan one night.

We would stay in this apartment again in a heartbeat if we came back to SF!

Cute Apartment, Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time in San Francisco. The apartment is in a great, central location. Really historic, easy to get to all the "must see" sights either by walking, or the cable cars which run past the end of the block. We had 6 adults- all from 1 family which was fine for us, but it is more ideal for 4 people as the eat in kitchen is tiny, as is the living room, and the 3rd bedroom really just fits the bunks with no other room. Overall though, would highly recommend for the atmosphere and location.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 had a great time staying at this Nob Hill apartment. It suited us perfectly. The place was beautifully decorated with plenty of cozy chairs to sit in, the beds were comfy, the place was well kept and clean, all mod cons are amply provided for and it has everything you need for a stress-free stay.

The location is excellent. The neighborhood is safe. We walked everywhere...to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown. The walk home in the evenings was a challenging climb uphill, but made it. I suppose those who don't like or can't make a climb could Uber or cable car up as others have suggested.

We rented a car for day trips to Muir Woods and Napa from National (a ten minute walk away at Bush street). We also picked a car we had booked online from Hertz from their counter at the Fairmont Hotel lobby (3min walk away) for our road trip along the pacific coast highway. All in all a very convenient place.

The one small difficulty i'd anticipate is that the full-sized grocery shop Trader Joe's was walking distance (about 15mins) away but it could be very challenging to climb back home with a load of groceries. Not a big problem for us as we kept purchases to a minimum and we shared the load amongst the 5 of us. The next time we made sure we dropped by the supermarket when we still had our rental car.

It was mpossible to park our rental overnight on the street but we found a covered parking facility just around the corner on Sacramento street that charged us $22 for 24h. We booked the space and price online after checking out out the parking website given in the instruction guide left by the property manager. We left the car in the evening before they closed at 9pm and picked it up the next morning after they opened at 6am. This worked for us better than returning the car to the rental company and going through the hassle of hiring one again the next morning.

Thank you to the Propery Manager for allowing us to leave our bags early in the hallway whilst the cleaners were refreshing the place after their earlier guest. Our flight got in early. After we dropped our bags we took an easy stroll to Union Square and came back after the place was ready for check-in.

Will definitely stay here the next time we visit SF.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this lovely flat. It was spotless and in an excellent location. It was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Despite being very central and within walking distance of lots of attractions it was actually very quiet in the flat which made it very restful after a day out in the city.
