My wife and I have been visiting family in Nelson for the last decade and have always been drawn to spend holiday time here. We finally decided to move to Nelson in 2008 so that we could live in the heart of the beautiful Kootenays instead of just vacationing here. We are passionate about skiing, hiking, mountain biking and climbing. We know you will enjoy Nelson just as much as we do!

In Nelson, there are endless possibilities for outdoor enthusiasts. During winter, we are often skiing at Whitewater Ski Resort or backcountry ski touring in the surrounding areas. In the summer we enjoy hiking and camping in the provincial parks nearby as well as mountain biking on the endless network of trails that Nelson has to offer. We also enjoy rock climbing at the different local crags. Whenever our bodies are in need of a rest day, we love the short walk to Lakeside Park and Beach where a swim in Kootenay Lake or a snooze on the beach soothes the soul.
We agree 100% with previous reviewers regarding the comfort of this suite. We stayed for an extended period of time, and the suite provided everything we required and Ryan and Kim were quick to offer assistance and answers for any additional needs that arose (thanks especially for the loan of the sewing machine!). We enjoyed our creek-side location, the nearby lake shore and parks, walks to the historic downtown, and exploring the slopes at Whitewater ski resort. We hope to cone this way again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this suite for our week vacation in Nelson. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking, the bed is super comfy, and the shower is awesome after a long day of play in the snow. Not to mention the zen-like stream that runs next to the property. Incredibly relaxing! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay in Nelson. Looking forward to our next stay!
My wife and I rented this very clean and cozy one bedroom suite for our anniversary trip to Nelson. Ryan and Kim were very accommodating and easy to work with. Good internet and lots of movies. Nice bathroom, great bed and nice kitchen. We would rent this suite again next time we are in Nelson and I would recommend it to any friend.
Our stay worked out very well. It was quiet, comfortable and a nice walk to town! Lots of DVDs too choose from.
Ryan was considerate and prompt to deal with.
The creek is lovely.
I often come to the area for work and opted to stay in this suite as opposed to a typical hotel room. It was so refreshing in every respect... beautiful yard alongside roaring creek, spotless and modern interior, and ideal location for walks in the area and to downtown. Ryan and Kim were great... very hospitable and thoughtful! I'll be back!!
Loved the place. Very comfortable bed, lots of space in the bedroom. Bathroom well thought out with a great shower. Living room very comfortable. No cable tv, but lots of dvds. Good kitchen with most of the basic things you'd want. Very clean and new feel. We downhill skied at Whitewater and nordic skied at Apex/Busk. Great location for getting to the ski areas.
