Lenga Hill was perfect! The driveway was easy to back in our 28' boat and our jet skis. Having towels and sheets provided helped immensely. Sitting on the large front porch every morning for coffee was so peaceful. The fenced in backyard made life so easy for the dogs. Everything in the lodge was so comfortable and convenient. Memories made and the special times spent with my husband and boys were priceless. We had an great week and looking forward to next year
This home is absolutely BEEEEAUTIFULLLLLLLL! The Internet does not do justice, it had more than enough room and everything we could want and ask for. We were 6 women enjoying a weekend, the neighbors were far enough but close enough and we really did enjoy ourselves. The downside was the largest tv was out of service however the owner was out of site and answered all concerns and was very accessible. If this home is on your tops list make it thee choice. Our mommy escape was a hit!
My fiancé and I rented this cabin to celebrate Thanksgiving and allow 5 of our 7 children to meet. We arrived first and the cabin was spotless and very well stocked for meal preparation-something we were a little worried about with Thanksgiving dinner to prepare. It had the lovely touch of fall decorations to which we added a few more. Kids started arriving Wednesday evening and came and left through Saturday. There was plenty of room for all of them. They enjoyed the pool table and game area and the door to close it up is a very nice touch to keep the rest of the house quiet. All agreed we should do this again next year! It was such a relaxing way to spend the holiday, and us girls even went Black Friday shopping in Altoona-a drive but it was nice to continue this family tradition . Neil and his wife were extremely easy to work with and everything is just as the photos show. It was so wonderful not to have to board the dogs. We loved the fire pit with smores and a show from the granddaughters every night. Took a ride in the trucks to the lake area near the property and then took our engagement photos at the boat launch about 10 min drive away. We've already talked with friends about going with us for a long weekend and can't wait to return. If your looking for a relaxing time away and have a large family this is a great cabin choice!
This was a great place to stay. We have 4 siblings in our family all married while now all our kids are either on their own or in college. So with 8 of us staying here we had plenty of room to enjoy time together. While the weather didn't cooperate (rain) to enjoy the fire pit, the secluded location is wonderful. We had movie nights in the basement, played pool and just had a great weekend catching up. The Lodge is layed-out very well, I would recommend it highly.
Couldn't pick a better spot for a group of 6 sixty year olds reliving college life at Penn State. The house is beautiful and the wood tones fantastic. Most importantly it was plenty big to stretch out and have side conversations, but at same time extremely cozy. It was easy to handle the group with 5 beds while our 6th used the inflatable mattress. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was spot clean. Even though we passed on attending the PSU game (rain storms), we loved spending the time together. Especially nice was the large screen tv downstairs and of course the pool table. We took full advantage of the decks and fire pit as well. As organizer of the outing I got rave reviews for selecting such a nice spot at a very reasonable fee.
I stayed here for a weekend with 7 other ladies. The place was clean and secluded. Also, very spacious and the 4 bathrooms were a plus. There were a lot of toiletries supplied which was also nice. I would recommend this place to anyone! Loved it!!
