Beautiful but had some issues

  • 4 of 5

The place was beautiful bUT there were some flaws. The first isue we ran into was the dryer was broken so we couldn't dry our clothes. Another issue but was easily fixed was the driveway is big enough for a boat but not big enough to turn it around, so if your bringing a boat plan on backing it in. The last issue we had was it said there were 3 queen size beds and it seemed more like they were full size beds. The floors are really loud so I'd anyone is walking you can hear everything. The views were amazing and it was very private. I loved how the kitchen had all plates and cooking utensils needed. We also loved playing pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: I apologize for the dryer not working during your stay. It has been repaired. I am disappointed with the comments about the driveway, beds and floors. The beds measure 60" wide x 80" Long. They are Queen size beds. Make no mistake this is a real 100% authentic wooden cabin built by renowned cabin builder Don Rockwell. It is made from wood including the floors! As for the driveway, I have no problem parking my Dodge Ram 4x4 pulling a 25' Cabin cruiser on a trailer in the drive. In fact, I have turned it around in the drive.

Charming & comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

We frequent the area often but this was our first time staying at Lenga Hill Lodge. Overall, a wonderful experience from the initial inquiring about the property to our departure from our week long stay! Owner was super nice and very quick to respond to and answer questions we had. Cabin is quite remote and such a beautiful and serene location. It was perfect for our group of 6 plus extra room for others if needed. Multiple levels for different activities and plenty of options for spreading out. Stairs accessing the different levels are somewhat steep and may pose difficulty for individuals who are challenged by stairs. We will certainly consider re-booking this location for future needs!!

Owner's Response: I contacted Michelle and she told me the 4 star rating was a mistake and that she intended to give 5 stars. HomeAway will not make a change to the rating.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

It was 26 yrs since we had our family boating at Raystown Lake and we were not disappointed with the Lodge, weather or the lake. We had 5 great boating days. We liked the seclusion of Lenga Hill Lodge, saw deer coming and going each day, close to Snyder Run boat ramp. The Lodge was roomy for 6 adults and 3 children under 6 yrs of age. We enjoyed the pool table and game closet at night, had a campfire, our distant neighbors even provided a few fireworks. It was so nice to have linens provided and NOT to have to do laundry!!! (The only thing we could have used was a pizza pan and a few light bulbs, but those were minor.)

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

The home was very well maintained and clean. It was great that all of the linens and towels were provided for our stay as well. The home was secluded and quiet. Neil was very responsive and helpful as I communicated with him about booking and questions which made the whole process easier. We had a great time and felt like it was plenty of space for 10 adults. Our only wish was that it was closer to the lake just because we all had kayaks and had to drive all of our vehicles about 20 minutes away to the closest launch area. Other than that it was great!
