This cabin is is nestled in the countryside and has a gorgeous view! It's far enough off the beaten path, yet close enough to the many tourist attractions that our county has to offer.
From the moment you arrive, you will admire the magnificent oak trees that surround the back yard. The rolling pastures and distant woods are very easy on the eyes.
A 3-4 person hot tub sits on the covered back deck for your enjoyment and pleasure.
This property features your very own private backyard pond, just a few steps away from the back deck of the cabin, and it is well stocked with Bluegill and Bass, so bring your fishing pole. The fishing is great at this pond. We have some guests who return year after year because they tell us the fishing is so fabulous!
A small loft bedroom is located on the second floor and has a full size bed. To access the second floor bedroom, there is a ladder. This ladder leading to the upstairs bedroom is not suitable for young children, the elderly, or physically impaired.
The cabin has it's original hardwood flooring in most of the rooms giving it a rustic look.
The kitchen is stocked with many amenities. It has a microwave, full size stove/oven, full size upright refrigerator, coffee pot, crock pot, toaster, small electric grill, and other goodies.
The main floor bedroom area has a queen bed with a thick memory foam mattress, a dresser, and wall heater. There is also a floor to ceiling chimney that is made from field stones found years ago right on this property. It contains a gas log, which is in operation seasonally.
The living room area has a Lazy Boy rocker recliner chair, a pull out sofa that converts into a full size bed, and a flat screen 32" television and DVD player. The television has Flexpack Dish programming, plus the local Lexington channels and ESPN for all you sports fans.
This cabin is equipped with high speed internet so you can steam movies from your device, or surf the internet.
The bathroom is a full bath, containing a tub/shower combination.
Cook some burgers or steaks on the newer charcoal grill for dinner.
You may want to have a campfire in the backyard fire pit. Watch the dancing flames and glowing embers while you sit under a starlit sky. Or, you may want to make some Smore's for a sweet snack.
You will notice our two horses grazing in the fields near the cabin. These horses are very gentle and love to be fed a few apples and carrots. Feel free to give them these type of treats. (Sorry, we do not lease our horses out for horseback rides).
Your well behaved and housebroken pet is welcome to accompany you for an additional charge of $10.00 per day per pet. Limit two pets per stay. For your pets' safety, you must keep it leashed or tied up at all times when it is outdoors. Pets must be in a crate indoors if you are going to leave it alone. If you have plans to bring your pet, please mention this to us as you are making your reservation.
Your visit would not be complete without a trip to Cumberland Falls State Park. The park has "The Niagara of the South" waterfalls. It also has hiking trails all around. The park is about a 45 min. drive from the cabin.
Renfro Valley Music Center is only a 15 min. drive away. If you are a fan of country style music, you may want to check them out.
