This is my family's third stay at this cottage and we just continue to love it. The cottage is ideally located in the historic area of Manchester, behind the Equinox, and provides easy access to several ski mountains (Bromley, Stratton, Magic and others a little further), golf, restaurants, outlet shops and other activities. The house itself is cozy and charming, and equipped with everything you might need for a short term stay, (we cooked breakfast or dinner every day).
We look forward to returning.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage . It is imaculate and nicely decorated and very cozy. The owner is very nice and pleasant. We will be back!
Clean, Cozy and Comfy. Radiant heat in the kitchen and bathroom served us well. Nice flow downstairs. Perfect kitchen setting with basics and large Fridge. Wood burning stove was not operable- did not need it. Stayed there with my wife and two little ones. Did some Bromley Skiing.
Had an absolutely splendid time at this cozy cabin in Manchester. My wife and I particularly enjoyed taking advantages of many Equinox attractions while not paying an Equinox rate - never mind how much more spacious it was than staying in a hotel! We particularly enjoyed the easy access to all of the hiking trails on Mt Equinox. The pond just up the road set against a gorgeous mountain backdrop was enough in itself to make the trip a success. Additionally, we found a great path just down the road through the woods that took us directly to the Equinox outdoor lounge. We enjoyed a copious amount of cocktails throughout the day and evening as we watched the sun set behind the mountain and the outdoor gas fire pit heat up the night. It was so nice being able to casually walk home without worrying about a tax or Ubers - which can be hard to come by in VT. Furthermore, there were a number of other quality restaurants we could walk to, such as the Copper Grouse at the Taconic Hotel and Mulligan's - what seemed to be a semi-local favorite pub. We ended one evening sitting on Adirondack chairs on the lawn, beverage and cigar (for myself) in hand, while the fire pit was blazing as we watch the stars light up the sky over the eastern mountain range. The cottage is adorable, spotless, and the owner, Bob, could not have been more helpful whenever we had a question/concern. Our escape from Manhattan was much needed, and once we arrived we did not get in the car again until our departure. The value here makes too much sense not to take advantage of it year after year. Definitely hoping to return again!
Cottage bliss!! Just loved staying in this well maintained spotless 2 bed room getaway. Updated kitchen and bath with heated floors that we loved waking up to on a cool crisp morning. No need for a car, you can walk to local restaurants, pubs and shopping or the Equinox Hotel to be pampered with a spa treatment. Go for a hike on the well marked trails with gorgeous panoramic views. Can not say enough about the accommodations, price can't be beat compared to the local hotels, a winner! The owner could not be more helpful, will definitely go back.
Whether you call it a cozy cottage or a ski chalet, this home's location is perfect! We strolled to and from the Equinox Resort for dinner and drinks. We enjoyed a 5 mile hike and soaked up the scenic views. The cottage itself is 2 stories with a comfortably sized living area on the first level with heated floors and nicely renovated Kitchen and Bath. There are 2 BRs upstairs. The cottage offers great value. Local hotels and inns are significantly more expensive. It's just a short drive to all of the outlets in the village. There are great restaurants and pubs nearby that the owner shared with us. He was very knowledgeable and responsive. We intend to return with friends once or twice during the winter months and probably next August when we can drive to Saratoga for thoroughbred racing. Can't say enough about this experience...
