My spacious 1260 sq' CORNER CONDO is located on the 2nd floor in the quiet back of complex, steps away from the Pool.It has walk in closets and a screened in porch
Compare to other complexes. None can hold a candle to Barnes Plantation!!
Painted with Benjamin Moore designer historic colors,a soothing color pallet.
Don't settle for a teeny tiny, small, outdated 1 or 2 BR in an old 70's complex.. The condo is so Comfortable.
The kitchen has all high end new copper bottom cookware, wine chiller, Calphalon & Cuisinart for your gourmet meal preparation, it overlooks the DR & LR and continues to the spacious screened in porch. It is an open great room allowing you to socialize and enjoy your company.
Gas BBQ grills are located through out the complex. with a natural gas line.
If you decide not to cook, walk across the street to Redfern Village for fine dining & unique boutiques.
The post office is directly across the street from the complex gate.

SSI is known for its biking paths that will take you on adventures to all points, the south end, slave cabins, and north end. Frederica Rd continues to the north end a 10 mile ride. It has lovely shaded meandering paths with a nature trail.

My husband is a sales consultant to the telephone industry. We have 4 kids & 2 grandkids.
What drew us to SSI was our first visit to Jekyll in 1998. We watched the Sidney Lainer Bridge being built an engineering marvel) and laugh at the times we waited for the old draw bridge to open. My husband said that's how its done... SLOW. We saw some changes but love the building code (no high-rises).
There have been many improvements to SSI, one of the best being, NEPTUNE PARK in the village. A well thought out master plan. We watched it being built in Feb 2009. A NEW Water Wonderland for all ages. It features 3 connecting pools with a kids water park, playground, mini-golf and water aerobics.
What a view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean & Jekyll Island!

We wanted a place we were able to drive or fly to easily. 45 mins. north of Jacksonville Airport (JAX) 20 mins to Glynco airport,(BQK) 1hour south of Savannah airport (SAV) . We live on Long Island enjoy the Long Island Sound and Atlantic. SSI is all we were looking for on the coast, a high education and low crime rate.
I have met people from all over the world who retire and bring their skills from art to theater to gardening. Their privacy is highly respected.

Couldn't have enjoyed our month more anywhere! This condo is beautifully provisioned, clean and very well located within walking distance to Redfern Village (lots of shops), Southern Soul(excellent barbecue), and St. Williams (an easy walk to Mass - beautiful service!) In spite of its proximity to business, etc. it was very quiet. We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the screened in porch and a cocktail there in the afternoon. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
This was our first visit to St. Simons. The condo rental was great ! Its spacious, very clean, has upgraded bathrooms, upgraded kitchen, and very comfortable. Being the first time on St. Simons, the owner also took the time to inform of us of the various restaurants and sights. She was extremely helpful and easy to work with. We highly recommend this condo to anyone.
We had a wonderful trip to St. Simons and it was made more wonderful by staying in this fantastic condo! The condo was very clean and comfortable. It was actually more roomy than we imagined! The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we had. She was especially gracious during a late night phone call because we couldn't get the gate code to work! We will definitely return to this condo!
This is our first time to St. Simons Island and we love it. What a lucky shot to pick the best location. This condo is comfortable, well maintained, well appointed and convenient to everything. The beach is within biking distance, the pool is beautiful and a fitness room is available. So convenient to have a washer and dryer in the unit as well. Quiet end unit. Parking right outside of the door. Barbara was very accommodating with our two little furry children that travel with us. Very pleased with the condo, felt like home immediately. We will definitely be back - next time for 2 weeks!
This was my first visit to St. Simons Island, and I couldn't have chosen a better place for my daughter, granddaughter and me to stay! Everything about the condo was just as the pictures and overview described. It had everything we needed for our week-long stay and more. The pool was heated and well maintained, and only a few steps away. Parking was right outside our door, bike rentals just next door, we were a short walk from many wonderful shops and restaurants, and just a short ride to a beautiful beach.
Barbara was so helpful in providing us with information about places to go, especially those with my granddaughter in mind. It was our first visit to SSI and Barnes Plantation, but will not be our last.
Perfect location, close to shopping, restaurants and beaches, plus a nice heated pool. The condo is spacious with designer touches and ultra comfortable beds. The owner is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Take her tips about places to eat and visit. Loved "Southern Soul" for barbeque and Tibi for designer, but affordable shopping. Good coffee ambiance in "Wake up coffee". St. Simmons is magical. Will be back!

Take a left out of the complex, a left turn onto Demere then a left turn (at the blinking light) at the East Beach Causeway, go straight ahead to East Beach.
3 Lefts and you're at the Beach! with lifeguards,outdoor showers, free parking and restrooms.
The Lighthouse Trolley has HOP'N'GO its service from Redfern Village (across the street) to all points south: East Beach, Village/Pier, King and Prince, Wine-Dixie etc. Call for a unique,fun experience.
At the Demere Rd & Frederica Rd round-about,(a short walk) is: CVS, TCBY, Winn-Dixie(red box) Starbucks, Outback, nail salon, health food store, Southern Soul BBQ etc. The condo is in an excellent location!
Easy access on and off the island.
Other Activities: Para sailing, Golf, Biking, Wildlife viewing, Miniature Golf, Boating, Health/Beauty Spa, Shopping, Kayaking. National Parks
