Rustic adventure

  • 5 of 5

Spent 4 nights at the cabin with my husband and girls. Cabin was rustic but so much fun. Close to Custer, Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. Clean and cleverly decorated. We heard a fox screaming behind us on the mountain. So cool and exciting. Lots of deer. Ate at Purple Pie Place and Powder House (AMAZING buffalo filet!!!!!!) make sure to visit the Badlands. Amazing time. Thank you Rick for a wonderful stay!

The Best Little Cabin in Custer

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd year in a row we drove from Pennsylvania to Custer South Dakota. Each time we stayed here at the Lost Bison Cabin. My wife and I along with our best friend Raven (Black Lab) just love this place. Everything about it is perfect! We still have so much we want to do in the Black Hills area so chances are we will be back and hope to stay here at the Lost Bison. Our favorite thing to do is photograph wildlife. We love just sitting and watching the Buffalo herds and Prairie Dogs. This time out we seen 5 coyotes in one day!! So if you love wildlife and beautiful country, visit Custer South Dakota and stay at the Lost Bison Cabin!

Lovely cozy stay in the beautiful Black Hills

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time visiting gorgeous South Dakota and the Lost Bison Cabin was a wonderful home base in the Black Hills. We felt close to the major sites but off the beaten path. The cabin is close enough to Custer to easily go out for a meal but still secluded and peaceful. When we arrived the owner stopped by to make sure we were settled and was very nice and friendly. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and we felt very comfortable there. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. The best part about our stay was the stunning scenery. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch or out in the yard watching birds, squirrels, turkey and deer roaming around. We didn't end up having time to cook, but the kitchen seemed well appointed. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Lost Bison Cabin and wish we had more time to stay longer.

Fantastic rustic hideaway

  • 5 of 5

The Lost Bison Cabin was exactly what we were hoping for! Tucked away against a rocky backdrop, our hosts welcomed us to their comfortable, rustic guest cabin. We and our dogs enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this country setting even though it was only 5 minutes to downtown Custer (we recommend getting a slice at the Purple Pie House - delish!). After touring Custer State Park, we made s'mores on the fire ring located on the property. Everything was great!

Very nice, neat little cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a very nice little cabin. Was very easy to get to and close to town and attractions. Would recommend this for a family of 4 or less. Very neat & clean, owner was there to greet us within 15 minutes. Thanks for the weekend wish we could've stayed longer.
