This rental had everything that I needed. It was very clean, private and comfortable. The central location made it easy to visit Venice, Brentwood and West Hollywood during my stay. The owner is very accessible and responsive.
The casita has become our "go-to" place when visiting family in Santa Monica. It is so well designed and welcoming, bright and quiet. A great place to come back to at the end of a busy day!
I had booked this place for my parents to stay when my wife and I were expecting our first child. The location was ideally suited for us, as it gave my parents their own space, but was still very close to our home. If you're not familiar with this part of greater Los Angeles, this location provides easy access to Santa Monica and the West Los Angeles area (Brentwood, Westwood, Pacific Palisades, etc). There are a huge number of restaurant, retail, and grocery options with a 15 minute walk of this property, and many many more only a short Uber or Lyft ride away.
From reaching out to us before the check-in date and answering any questions, to making sure that my parents were welcome throughout their stay, the owner was very proactive with communicating with me and making sure my parents were comfortable at all stages of their visit.
I would highly recommend this location, as it is a great physical space in a great location, and the owners are wonderful people.
Great location, spotless, modern, every convenience of home. You will not be disappointed.
For its small size, this guest house offers great comfort. It's a reasonable drive from LAX. It is quiet. It was spotlessly clean. Street parking (always a challenge in Los Angeles) with a guest parking hang tag provided by the owner was easy. Four out of the five nights of our stay we were located directly in front of the house, and the other night were were just across the street. To our delight, an excellent grocery store is located one block away and offered not only usual grocery items, but an excellent selection of prepared foods as well. We enjoy balancing meals in/dining out when we travel, and the easy access to this store was a huge plus. The kitchen was a good size - far more than a kitchenette - with cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, disposal. There was no dishwasher or oven, but we felt we had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The bathroom was well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the fact that the wall-mounted TV could be viewed from the two small lounge chairs, the kitchen counter stools, or pivoted for watching from the bed. We had arrived from a week's hiking in Montana, and the use of laundry facilities was another plus. The outside private patio space provided a lovely sitting area when one wanted to read and one wanted to watch sports! The owner, Greg, was very attentive. We will definitely plan to say here on our next visit to LA.
Wasn't sure what to expect before arriving at La Casita except what I read from previous reviews. Fabulous location. Close to great eateries like Milo and Olive (a frequented restaurant on our trip) and supermarket, Bristol Farms (if a little on the expensive side), also great for access to the 405 freeway, Brentwood and downtown Santa Monica.
Jamie and Greg were friendly and helpful. They kept us well supplied with clean towels and such. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit LA. The only improvement I could suggest would be to have at least one wall hook in the bathroom to hang your clean clothes, etc.
My friend and I had the best time in LA- our first time in California. The main reason for our trip was a set visit to NCIS LA at Paramount Pictures studios, which was epic! I even made a new friend in the director of photography. We also managed to get tickets to see James Corden on the Late Late Show during our second week. We were busy the whole time- hiking to the Hollywood sign, driving the PCH to Sanata Barbara harbour, visiting The Getty centre, the holocaust museum, The Grove farmer's market(highly recommend) and a visit to Fonuts on 3rd Street. My goodness those baked donuts were amazing! Can't stop thinking about them! Yum! Best holiday ever and was pleased that I picked La Casita as a base during our time here. The reviews on this place helped me make a more informed decision whether to book or not. I say go for it!!!
