About Karmine

We are a family of skiers and love the convinience of this condo. We are not there to shop or gamble, but to ski! This condo is set up to for skiing (boarding) and then resting in comfort with modern amenities without dealing with the crowds. You are a local resident when your here not a tourist. Once you are here you don't have to leave, unless you choose to.

Karmine purchased this condo in 2011

Why Karmine chose Lake Tahoe Area

We have been skiing the Tahoe area for years. We are tired of the lodging hunt everytime we want to go skiing at a top resort. This solves our problem. We can reach NorthStar and Squaw Valley within 1 hour from here if we choose to.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Could not have had a better stay in Heavenly. Condo was right across the street from lift, 28" fresh snow, clear blue skies! Very comfortable, well stocked, and clean accomodations. Will always stay here for future trips.

Cozy place, unbeatable location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo for several days, and liked it. The location is truly unbeatable - you are literally several steps away from the lift, you can see it from the window, so you leave the condo and start skiing right away! Just mind that this lift is not for beginners so if you have those in your party, take a bus (that also stops next to the lift) and go to the Boulder lodge (10-minute trip and no need to take the car).

The condo was cozy and warm, and what we especially appreciated it was a floor heater (not the air one) in the living room and kitchen, the air was not as dry as it usually is with air heaters. The kitchen was fully equipped and we found everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and cozy, the only minor issue was the bedding (at least in the master bedroom) - it felt like synthetics rather than cotton, so a little upgrade here would be nice. Other than that it was perfect!

Comfortable & warm, home away from home!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this property over the Xmas period. It was comfortable, warm, cosy & had a very homely feel about it. We cooked a full home cooked Xmas lunch & it had all the necessary appliances, crockery & glasses that we required for a party of 6. It created the perfect White Xmas that we were looking for! It's in a great location & we are looking forward to another trip sometime soon!

Wonderful place to stay regardless of the season!

  • 5 of 5

Though the proximity to the Stagecoach Lodge ski lift (literally across the street) does make this condo perfect for ski season, it is a great South Lake location with great amenities making it very attractive for the other seasons as well. It's far enough away from Stateline to enjoy the quiet that comes with evenings in the country, but also close enough to quickly be in "civilization" w/in a few minutes. Trailheads to the 100's of miles of hiking and other outdoor activities that the Lake Tahoe area have to offer can typically be accessed in 30-45 min.

The kitchen is fully furnished (even a crock-pot!) and was quite enjoyable to use for cooking and baking. There are some shared outdoor grills, but didn't take advantage of them- will definitely do that next time. Appreciated the good coffee pot in the mornings before exploring the area (and the awesome shower/hot tub in the master bath in the evenings to wash off the day). The open floor plan of the kitchen, dining and living areas invites conversation - definitely a plus if you are entertaining or have multiple guests staying in this unit. The furniture in the living area is sturdy and comfortable, great for relaxing (and dozing!) to a movie after the day’s activities.

The bedrooms are upstairs and the master bed is wonderfully solid. It was great to relax and sleep on- very comfortable without being too soft. Lots of storage space in the room, and should you want it, a TV w/ DVD player to watch. Already mentioned the bath, but wow!, worth mentioning again- a rain showerhead, and jet tub bath. The 2nd bedroom similarly laid out- though I didn't sleep on the bed, it did feel quite comfortable. The 2nd bath is at the top of the stairs and is easily accessed by the downstairs area.

There are stairs to get to the unit, but they didn't bug me- I was there to hike, so I just accepted them as part of the day's activities. Combined with the elevation - it’s about 7,600 feet here - I can see how this might present an inconvenience to some. All in all, it was a great place. The owner contacted me by email on the final arrangements, and then by phone when I didn’t reply back to make sure I got all the information. I am already looking at schedules to see when I can go back for another stay.

Not fancy but very comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

Although this is an older unit and could use some updates, everything was there that made it your home away from home. The beds were really comfy! Great tvs everywhere! The only negative was no wifi - which is clearly stated but we just didn't notice. It helped to keep us from working all night while on vacation :-) Great communication by texting and good communication by phone. The price and location were great!
