About Ann Jackson Hale
I grew up traveling to Van Buren and camping on the river's banks with my family. Once married, my husband and I continued the tradition of visiting the Current River annually. I always said as I was tubing down the river that 'one day' I was going to have a cabin that we could enjoy, and have for our children and grandchildren to enjoy, as well! In 2002, our dreams were fulfilled and we built our cabin nestled into the hillside right on the banks of the Current River!
Ann Jackson Hale purchased this Cabin in 2002

Views and comfort over looking the river.
Our group had a lovely short break at the cabin. The setting is great and the tram down to the water a delight. The house was more than big enough for the 5 of us, well equipped, clean and tidy. The communication with Ann was very good with clear instructions and prompt responses to questions.
It is true the approach is steep and gravelled, so when the description says 4x4 advised in winter or indeed I would say in wet conditions, then take note, but our brave MPV 7 seater made it up and down in the late summer.
best cabin on current river
we've tried to rent this cabin for several years but could never find an open date that works. now finally getting to stay here it far exceeded our expectations. we had 12 people mostly couples enjoy an amazing 3 days here. the cabin is a perfect 1/2 point on the river from waymeyer to the landing. it rained most of the weekend but the home is so nice non of us minded as we just curled up by the fireplace and grilled on the deck. the tram made getting coolers and floats up and down to the river really easy. i personally rode the tram due to a bad ankle. ann has done a great job and we look forward to coming back.
Wonderful river house!!!
10 of us shared three nights in this magnificent river house! The furnishings and the stocked kitchen helped us really enjoy our stay! Loved the deck and the gorgeous view of the river. The tram was nice and really made getting our floating items to the river a breeze. Having three refrigerators really helped as we ate at the house each day and had plenty of room to keep all of our drinks cold! The only complaint we heard was that the guest room bed upstairs was not comfortable. Loved the decor and the wifi worked great! Hope we can return someday!
Always enjoy our time at this cabin
Great place to stay and very well maintained cabin!
The accommodations were more than adequate for our family of 12. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes. The view was beautiful. We floated the Current River. It was a BLAST. Actually stopped back at the cabin to eat lunch and play for a bit before continuing our float trip.
This cabin is the perfect spot to float.
This is our second time renting and it is perfect for floating. Bring your own tunes and take a short drive to weymeyers to take out. The property is about 1/2 way for lunch then off again. Ann and her staff have made sure to have everything for everyone to do weather it be in the cabin or roasting marshmallows by the fire. Only one negative is if you don't remember where you set something you may not find it with the many sections of this cabin mansion!
