We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Del Rey everthing worked well. We would book again

  • 5 of 5

Lionne picked us up at the airport took us to the apartment and explained how everything work. The appartment is clean and comfortable good Wi-Fi, hot water, all appliances worked well. The area is quiet but easy to get to anywhere with the bus and taxi service. The outside rap a round deck is a great from the ocean views to all day sunny areas. There is good shopping in the area from small stores across the street to the Wal-Mart a short cab ride. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. The beach is good for morning or afternoon walks and there are beach restaurants along the way to stop for coffee or a snack. We would book again if the appartment was available.

The funnest funkiest place I've stayed! Loved It!

  • 5 of 5

This property is so fun & funky. Lots of local art & decorations on the walls. You will find something new (you missed the first/second day) every time you look around the condo. It was nice to have a 3rd bathroom for guests. The terrace is awesome, with beautiful views of the ocean. You can't beat the sunsets from this location. Everything is clean and maintained and all your needs are met. The pool isn't huge but the water is warm! I would stay here again or recommend it to friends!

We have always had good food and great music (Saturday evenings) at Lucky B's and La Catrina (Wednesday evenings).

If a problem does arise (and it did) Mazatlan4Rent does an awesome job of jumping right on a problem and following up to make sure all is fixed. This is the 4th year I have rented from Kristen & Lionne and I plan to continue! :)

Very enjoyable!

  • 5 of 5

Colorful, comfortable, roomy, private, right on the beach, fantastic views of the ocean and surrounding area! Having a washer and dryer was so handy. Standing in the kitchen, preparing meals, the view was of the rolling surf. With the sliding glass doors open the sound of the surf filled the rooms and drowned out the construction going on on both sides. Private elevator with key added to security.

Nine rooms in all. Two huge bedrooms with private bath, loads of drawer and closet space and kingbeds. Galley style kitchen, well equipped. Large living area with comfortable seating, adjoining a large dining area. A bar with seating for two between kitchen and dining area. A small extra room with twin bed . Guest bath with shower. Wrap around terrace on all four sides. Perfect for private tanning, barbecue, having drinks around the table, watching the gorgeous sunsets. There is a heated pool with lounge chairs, easy access to the beach. A short walk to Torres Mazatlan Hotel and Resort for breakfast and to The Seafarer for dinner added to our enjoyment. Not in the Golden Zone it is further out, but buses, trucks, pulmonias and taxis are readily available. We loved our stay and have reserved it again for next year!

Best Tiki Hut Penthouse

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying for almost 4 months. To be truthful, the pictures posted hardly do it justice. We spent hours sitting on the front terrace watching the waves in the morning, and the stunning sunset almost every evening. The interior is spacious and jam-packed full of local art pieces (I think that the owners must have bought from every gallery on the Art Walk) and is decorated in an authentic style that blew away all our friends who visited. We had 12 people stay with us over the time we were there, and they loved it. The staff at Mazatlan4Rent were extremely attentive to the few small issues that popped up, so we can hardly complain about the minor maintenance that occurred we had during our stay (15 weeks). Unfortunately, a new no-pet policy was adopted by the management , otherwise we would have booked again for the duration of the 2016/17 season. Note, the grounds of Marina Del Rey are not in a pristine resort-type condition, however they are acceptable, safe, and reasonably maintained. The value/pricepoint for this condo is spot-on.

A Home away from home - Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Exactly as described/pictured by Mazatlan4Rent. A well-stocked home - just like someone was living in it yesterday, pretty much anything you could ask for in the kitchen was present. Very clean interior and exterior. The exterior of the overall property looks a little rough due to its age and storms/salt air, but the interior is lovely; decoration inside is the talk of the neighborhood. Right ON the beach; at high tide you can feel the waves strike the seawall below. Instant access to Mazatlan's northern beaches. Amazing view from the top-floor terrace that wraps around the entire building. 2 large bedrooms, 3 large bathrooms, 2 sleeper sofas. The small "bonus" twin bed is not really usable due to its location in between the kitchen and the laundry room in a very stuffy location. Amazing customer service from the entire Mazatlan4Rent team; there were some teething problems with this unit as it was new to their management, their constant contact and dedication to working through the issues was commendable. This is an older unit built in a typical Mexican style, so water pressure is low and hot water is very limited, so adjust your expectations for that and everything will be just fine.Convenience store across the street for your immediate needs; buses, taxis and pulmonias are never a long wait on the major street right in front. This unit was very quiet as it was shaded from the street by a taller building to the rear, and at night the roar of the ocean filled every room. Lots of sea breezes as there are windows and sliding doors everywhere and lots of useful ceiling fans. For fine food, we highly recommend the Seafarer about a 5 minute walk South; hidden inside a condo facility on the north shore of the Marina - quiet (no TVs!), built on top of a lovely fish pond, and simply amazing food and service - easily the best food we ate in MZT in our 2+week stay. Prices were very fair as well; we ate there 2x, once for a date night and once with a large group and it was amazing both times. If you want to get in the water (and you should), you will have to go a little bit north as there is a rocky reef 25 feet offshore making it a little dangerous; Playa Bruja is about a 45 minute walk north and is perfect for all ages, or take the bus and be there in 5 minutes. Local divers were harvesting oysters off the reef most mornings, so if you're an oyster fan you can catch them and get them "right off the docks" for ultimate freshness. Highly recommended to all.
