Our family purchased this house in 2003. It is our dream house and the perfect place to raise our family. We are hoping to follow another dream and spend time each year in Guatemala or Morocco, Africa working with orphans.
The Owner purchased this house in 2003
Ideal location in the country, but easy access to everything. About 30 minutes from downtown Columbus.
A beautiful, peaceful, country setting.
Had our 4th family vacation at this wonderful property in August. Each year/time has been better than the previous. The property has everything a family could ask for. Young, old, active, sedate; there is something for everyone. As I posted in previous reviews, the owner is a gracious host and is considerate of the renters privacy and needs. We had a strong storm knock a pole and power line down not too far from the house. If we hadn't gone outside and heard the generator running, we would never have known the power was out. It took most of the day for the power company to make repairs, but we were not inconvenienced in the least. We have looked, but have not found a rental property in the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana area that compares with this for amenities and price.
We had a great time on our girls trip. It was a combination of moms and daughters and there was something for everyone. The house accommodates large groups very well. I hope we will do this again next year.
We had our Inaugural Family Reunion and the house was perfect for our needs. We were amazed at how clean and organized it was and it felt like our home for the time we were there. The kitchen is big, which is where we spend a lot of the time, and it was stocked with everything we needed. The living room was great for group photos. The sunroom was perfect for cards, as was the basement. There was plenty to keep us entertained, books, game consoles, ping pong table, pool table and many other things. Next year we will be here in the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful outdoors !! The yard is plenty big for volleyball and other activities. This house was better than we ever imagined!
The house is exactly as listed and pictured. And it was easy to find. Two ovens came in handy, that was a nice surprise.
We had an amazing time staying here! The house slept our entire lacrosse team and coaching staff comfortably. It was a central location for all our games while we were in the area and we could not have been more pleased. The home owners were extremely accommodating of our needs and beyond helpful. I hope we will be able to stay in the area again just so we could stay here again!
Our group of 15 Milwaukee March Maniacs was completely comfortable in this large and comfortable home. This was the first year we didn't stay at a hotel and the experience was much more rich and fun. We could play cards in the dining room while a group was eating or hanging out in the kitchen. The hot tub was relaxing and the sauna first rate. Denise was helpful getting us the wi-fi password when we couldn't locate it. All in all an excellent experience for our group of WI basketball fans. (BTW Wisconsin is in the final 4, at least!)
Our family of 7 adults and 10 children (ages 13 to 2 months) came from Ohio cities and from Missouri to celebrate Christmas in this house. It was perfect! There was lots of space for everyone to spread out. The two eating areas were perfect for family dinners. The basement offered entertainment choices for all ages and tastes. Our younger children loved the castle, blocks, and wooden train set. The older ones had ping pong and air hockey tournaments. We also played some of the board games. The weather was mild and our children enjoyed using the trampoline and bikes and riding toys outside (lots of safe space for little ones to ride). We found a great variety of videos to watch and books to read. We appreciated having Internet access for those who had to keep in touch with work. The cable service allowed the sports fans to watch their favorite football teams. Shopping was convenient and nearby. One afternoon we all went to Plain Cityfor bowling, followed by pizza from Jans and Tony's for more family fun. It was especially nice to have Christmas decorations in the house. The grandchildren are already asking if we will go to the "Christmas House" again.
