Also, convenient to Walter Reed for military coming into the IVF unit and want a nice, yet reasonalbly priced place to stay while in town.
This is one of 5 units in a historic building in the 300 block of West Patrick Street. The other apartments are rented to yearly residents.
Parking lot in back of building. Within walking distance to Baker Park and many walking/biking paths and to downtown Frederick, including Carroll Creek area. Many restaurants and an active downtown area. Shops galore!

This apartment was perfect for my two month stay in Frederick, having the ability to walk downtown and enjoy the park one block away was wonderful. Although small, the apartment provided everything I needed and Judy was easy to communicate with.
I stayed in this rental for 3 months while working a travel contract at the local hospital. This place has everything, even a parking spot! The location is perfect. I walked to everything! Downtown Frederick is full of charm, there are tons of really good restaurants and shops. The rental was fully stocked with everything I needed, even for a long term renter. Very clean, very comfortable, so glad I found this little gem!
Stayed for 3 weeks and walked all over beautiful downtown Frederick, Baker Park and Carroll Creek. The unit had everything we needed with parking. Already planning on a return trip next year.
What a great place to visit - Frederick, Maryland. Other than the brief description of the property and a short conversation with the owner, we really had no idea what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised!! We used the apartment as a base to make several trips into our nation's capital. We could have easily spent the entire week in and around Frederick, visitng several historical sites. The owner was "spot on" with her description of its location. The apartment was also exactly as the owner described it. It is sparse but has everything one needs. We had several questions for the owner and she was always available via phone to answer them. During the week we were there, four days we drove the 23 miles into Rockville where we picked up the Metro into D-C. The trip in was easy and relatively inexpensive - $9 each for round trip Metro ticket and $5 for all day parking. Two days we devoted to the sites in and around Frederick - walking the Monocacy Battlefield, visiting the battlefield at Antietam, and walking the Mount Olivet Cemetery where Francis Scott Key is buried. For those who geocache - there are some awesome caches within easy walking distance of the apartment. In fact, the historical part of the city is within easy walking distance of the apartment. We cooked most of our dinners in the apartment but would recommend Isabella's. La Paz didn't really satisfy our desire for Mexican food. Would we stay here again? - Absolutely! Would we recommend it to friends or relatives? - Without a doubt. Remember - it's not extravagant but easily meets one's needs - a homey little place to lie one's head!
Nice location, centrally located to many sites, including Gettysburg, Antietam, and Washington D.C.!
Parking space is a bit limited if your vehicle is large, however. Our Tundra took two spaces of the 6 available, and be aware there is no parking on the city street after 12 midnight!!!
The location was fantastic. We could walk downtown for coffee in the morning and then walk home through the park. Beautiful. There were plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance to stop by on our evening stroll. The apartment was clean and stocked with all the needed basics (toilet paper, towels, linen etc). Parking was right next to the apartment except for the 1 day we didn't have a space to park (but we simply parked on the street). The pull out couch was lumpy but that could simply be the nature of pull-out couches!
All in all it was a great stay. I'm very glad we chose to stay in the apartment instead of a hotel. It was a better location and much more homey!
Our favorite restaurants are: Dutches Daughter (fabulous crab cakes!!!) and LaPaz Mexican Restaurant
Approximately 30 miles to DC Metro Station; 45 mintues to DC by car, depending upon time of day; 40 minutes to Baltimore; 30 minutes to Gettysburg. Suggest using Mapquest to check exact commute times.
