I'm an Ohio native, moved to central-Oregon in '12 for the local recreation & quality of life.
A year later was fortunate enough to put down permanent roots and now the opportunity to share the experience of living in Bend.
Jeffrey Schmid purchased this condo in 2013
one of the reasons your considering visiting likely......the small town local feel, still big city amenities & recreation options.
Balcony heater (natural-gas)..Installed
Cold Winter & Spring days can carry on into May in most of Central-Oregon.
Summer nights in the high-desert also cool down quick. (although usually providing a welcomed break from the days heat & activities)
Enjoy dinner, craft brew-glass of wine, or maybe the morning paper..any time of year while lounging back on the deck.
We had a great time staying in unit 105! We really appreciated the
Valentine's Day gift and card that was waiting for us when we got there.
The place was very clean and comfortable and was perfect for our long
weekend in Bend. We will definitely recommend your place to our friends who
are looking for a place to stay in Bend.
The place was great the only draw back was that you can really hear the neighbors upstairs walking around but everything else was awesome.
My husband and I enjoyed our week-long stay in March 2017 in this cozy condo. Location was terrific - just outside of downtown and about 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. Definitely wait to do your grocery shopping until you see what is already in the refrigerator/cabinets - it was great not to have to purchase spices, ketchup, mustard, a growler(!), etc. Bed was so comfy - loved the down comforter! We would have liked having hooks or a coat rack in the front hall to put our jackets and ski pants on. Jeff was very responsive and easy to deal with. Instructions provided were very detailed and helpful!
The only way to give a good review is to state whether you would stay their again.
I would, in a heart beat.
You can tell they care about their place.
-Great sleeper couch
-High quality coffee machine
-Huge stock of dry goods
-Xbox 360 with games
-Tons of board games
-Good pots and pans
-Great location to Mt. Bachelor
-Great location to Bend
-Easy in and out (keypad)
Cons:(These were nothing really, but just for an FYI)
-Showerhead was at my shoulders, I am 6'2"
-If on sleeper sofa, porch light streams through front door window. Must cover
-Upstairs tenants were noisy. (Not the fault of the owner)
I highly recommend this place.
This was a perfect place for two of us to stay in Bend. Very comfortable and all the amenities one needs. Love the fireplace and hottub
So many pluses, no negatives. Location was perfect, enjoyed proximity to Deschutes River trail and to west side Bend. The balcony with a heater made sitting outside in 50 degree weather enjoyable. Nicely stocked kitchen, very comfortable queen bed with upgraded linens, appreciated a comfortable couch and chair in the main area. Staff was readily available to talk through difficulties with the tv remotes. Only issue was missing the key for the onsite laundry room. Two suggestions for small improvements would be a coffee grinder for whole beans and a pole lamp near the chair for reading. Overall, a wonderful condo and setting. We will be back.
We stayed at this property September 3-5...the reservations and communications leading up to the stay were very easy and all went smoothly for our arrival. The condo is super cute and had pretty much everything one could need. We did a little grocery shopping and made most of our meals in the kitchen, which was stocked with everything necessary to make meals. There was even a bread maker which we took advantage of to make a fresh loaf of bread! There were lots of items already in the cupboard and fridge as far as spices, condiments, tea bags, even a few boxes of rice-a-roni and a few boxes of mix for making bread. Make sure you check the cupboards before you go grocery shopping so you don't buy something that may already be available. Love the way the place is decorated and the private balcony view of the woods was quite peaceful. We utilized the grill on the balcony a couple of times and the balcony has a heater for chilly evenings. Our only complaints would be that it was advertised to have paddleboard and fly fishing equipment on the premises, but when we arrived we weren't able to find any. I sent an email, which was responded to very promptly :-) Turns out that equipment is shared with another property and was being used elsewhere. So I guess if you want to ensure use of those items, you should check availability in advance. Otherwise, we had a great stay, very convenient to the pool and hot tub area and we would definitely stay again next time we visit Bend :-)
