We are a family of 4 and have loved owning this cabin in Beech Mountain. It feels remote, but skiiing, recreational facilities, restaurants and shopping are all just a few miles away.
Kristi purchased this cabin in 2006
We built the cabin after several visits to the area. Our favorite part is the peaceful, quiet setting. We enjoy feeding the deer, bird watching and hiking the trails. Rain or shine there is always something to do in the area....even if it's reading a book or watching a movie on the large TV screen.
Overall experience was great. Exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend.
We had a good time stay at this property. The house is spacious, and is well-stocked with appliances, dishes, cookware and utensils. The house was well-maintained and clean. Our group of youth enjoyed the game room/movie theater, and the hikes were amazing. We would stay here again in the future if we go back to Beech Mountain.
This was the perfect place for our family reunion. Lots of space, well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of beds. The homeowner was very responsive to both email and by phone. There are lots of trails with varying degrees of length and difficulty for everyone to enjoy or you can enjoy the peace and quiet at the cabin. Verizon cellular service was available virtually everywhere. Basically no ATT service on the mountain. No wifi at the cabin however the recreation center just a mile away has free wifi access plus maps and lots of great advice. We will definitely consider staying at this home away from home again.
This home has pretty much everything you need. The owner was very easy to work with and allowed us to bring at pet at the last minute. When it says 4 wheel drive is recommended its no joke. The driveway alone is very steep and your on an incline if you have multiple cars like we did. Only suggestion that was said the whole weekend was the living room needs more sitting space for adults especially for such a lovely home that sleeps as many as it does. But over all we would recommend this home and stay here again...thank you for opening it up to us and working with me!!
We had a nice experience staying at the Boston cabin. There are 4 adults, 4 kids and our labrador. We were all very comfortable. Two of the preteen girls in the group loved the loft. It is open to the living room and kitchen below but our girls didn't seem to be troubled by the noise of the others in the morning or at night.
The cabin's amenities were just fine for our 3 night stay. Plenty of sheets, towels and clean rooms. Great to have a washer/dryer. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen which was well stocked with pots, pans etc. We did have to pull up two extra chairs at the table (which has seating for 6). Kids liked the lower level den for playing. We used the DVD player in the living room but it would have been fun to set that up in the den (we didn't see a DVD connected to the TV in the den).
We had no trouble taking our garbage out since we drove right by the dropoff location on way off the mountain. The location of the cabin is quiet and lovely and very near both Sugar and Beech.
The Boston's were prompt and helpful in setting up the booking. It is clear this is there family cabin that they frequent and enjoy themselves.
No internet or cel reception was a very welcome break from our normal life of having to be connected all the time. And if you need cel service you can just walk up the hill and talk on your phone surrounded by a lovely setting:)
The cabin on Beech Mountain was absolutely amazing, everything was just wonderful! Beautiful cabin, amazing location, perfect weather, but my favorite part was the critters- deer, chipmunks, raccoons and even a bear. The deer come right into the yard and are everywhere on the ride up and down the mountain. I loved it and so did my puggle Nala. This year the fall leaves were the prettiest I've seen in a while. The Bostons have thought of everything! I would love to stay there again and encourage anyone looking for the perfect getaway to look no further.
