Overview

Guanacaste Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Villa Ginger is located in the Bahia Pez Vela Resort which is nestled in a private cove on a secluded black sand beach. The villa is a spacious, two-level villa, and one of only 6 villas offered by Bahia Pez Vela on the beach! We are the only villa to offer a personal concierge service to help with pre-planning your trip, arrange for tours and activities, rental cars or transportation… even suggest the best restaurants for dinner…

The villa includes Air-conditioning, Cable TV and DVD/VCR, video and music library, reading library, games, high chair and pack n play, fully equipped kitchen and washer / dryer. Each room has ceiling fans and screens so you can enjoy the ocean breeze. We even offer 2 kayaks to explore our beautiful cove.

Just steps from Villa Ginger, you can snorkel, explore the tidepools or even hire a fishing boat. Picante, our poolside restaurant and bar, offers a great menu and social environment.

Bahia Pez Vela is a secluded oasis that seems miles away from the real world but is really just a quick 10 minutes to Playas Del Coco, which hosts a variety of bars, restaurants and shopping with the local street vendors. We are centrally located to several national parks, volcanoes (Mira Valles, Rincon and Arenal), waterfalls and many beautiful beaches along with dozens of day trip activities available.

At Villa Ginger, you can find all the adventure you are looking for or… just choose to relax! Recline poolside or enjoy a massage on our own black sand beach with the sound of the gentle waves in the background.

Best View In The Resort!

  • 5 of 5

This Villa is closer to the beach than the pictures show. The covered patio is great for escaping the very hot mid-day sun. The listing is very accurate; it's well-stocked, great beach view, close to restaurant/bar/pool.

The resort seemed pretty empty while we were there. We liked it that way. No crowds at the pool, restaurant or beach. This is supposed to be rainy season but we only got rained on once while we were ziplining about 1.5 hours away from the resort. It was still fun and was combined with a hot springs visit.

We also went on a wave-runner tour and an ATV tour. Both worth doing with our kids ages 20,18,14,11 & 6. And my in-laws enjoyed them too!

Our rental cars, dinner reservations and activities were arranged by Kelsey. Her service was great and I changed things many times before we got there She got everything done, no problem, and called me when I arrived to check on us. Priceless! I would definitely recommend this resort and this villa in particular!

GREAT CHRISTMAS IN COSTA RICA

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time in Costa Rica during the Christmas holiday. The house was so well situated on a beautiful beach - the weather warm and sunny. The house was close to town so that we could go shopping for food to prepare at the house OR to eat dinner out in the evening. Kelsey was super helpful in all planning stages along the way too! We really enjoyed it!

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We had looked at a ton of properties, but this one seemed to offer it all - near town, an onsite restaurant, plenty of room, but right by the beach. The house was just what we wanted. The beach was steps away, exceptionally clean, and there was NO ONE there. The beds were super comfortable, there were plenty of ceiling fans, and air conditioning if we wanted it. The view from the master bedroom and the large guest bedroom were of the beach and the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and HUGE, plus there is a gas grill on the patio. The patio is covered so you can enjoy the afternoon rains without getting soaked. We had another couple staying with us, and we all sat on the patio enjoying the sound of the ocean, the birds, and the monkeys. There is nothing better than waking up to howlers at 5am! They hang out in the trees adjacent to the beach. The pool is just steps away from the house, and it is gorgeous. The on-site restaurant serves good food, but be brave and venture out. There are some great local places, like the soda across from the police station by the dive shop in Coco, and the soda on the beach in Playa Hermosa (take the primero entrance and follow it down to the beach - the soda will be left of where you park. It isn't cheap, but we had some awesome whole red snapper there.) For margaritas head to Father Rooster's just down the road. Snorkeling is really good there too - our friends saw eagle rays, spotted eels, puffer fish, and many others. The great thing about this house is that it is near a lot of things. The service was wonderful - the air conditioning went out in the lower level of the house, and they had someone out to look at it right away. This was the weekend and they determined it couldn't be fixed, and by Monday we had a new air conditioner. I can't say enough about this house and Kelsey was great. Maybe I'm sabotaging myself with this review, because now EVERYONE will want to stay here. Kelsey, save us a week next year!

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Just back from Villa Ginger. Wishing this wasn't the case! After spending 4 nights at the Four Seasons, we were a little worried about phase two of our Costa Rican adventure. After just a few hours at Villa Ginger, we were glad we branched out. The location was idyllic. The villa was large, clean and well equip. The photos are a good representation of the property. Lots to see and do. Perfect for a family vacation, esp if you have young children. We brought our 16 month old and she had a blast!! The staff were excellent and the grounds were beautifully maintained. Everyone was very friendly and a 'can do' attitude prevailed. In general, we found that while in Costa Rica, the answer was always 'yes' ... without a whole lot of huming, haring and push back. I love that! I very much look forward to going back.

A fabulous vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Friendly and helpful people, beautiful views, spacious and comfortable home, monkeys and birds to enjoy, and steps from the two-level pool with attached bar and restaurant - what's not to love?? Would love to return to snorkel in this cove with no red tide. Luckily that is a rare phenomena we shouldn't encounter in the future. Felt "away from it all," while still being close to great restaurants, shopping, and a variety of experiences. Kids of all ages loved the pool, which allowed everyone to relax when we weren't off exploring. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Paradise!!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family spent 4nights/5days in Villa Ginger and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The unit was clean and very well stocked. The staff, from the moment we checked in until the time we had to leave, was friendly, helpful and professional. We spent our days in the ocean and by the pool, enjoying the sun, sea and howler monkeys! We will definitely be returning with our family. The secluded black sand ocean was private and clean. The drive down into the area was quite an adventure....but worth it! Thanks for a great vacation destination!
