Sun Tracks Across the Water ---
Sun Tracks Cross the Water
Beautiful panoramic sunset views across the curvature of the earth. Close enough to watch whales, away from crowds and the beaten tourist path, your vacation starts here. This brand new custom vacation house is 600 feet (about 200 meters) elevation and in the most comfortable climate in the Hawaiian islands and probably in the world.
After spending a day fishing, hiking, golfing, driving, sightseeing or shopping, you come back to this tranquil home. Having a glass of wine on the lanai, you enjoy the sun gradually setting over the horizon or the moon rise casting a column of light cross the water.
This 2 story house sits on one acre
This 2 story house on one acre offers 2 bedrooms and one bath. Bamboo cabinets surround a custom kitchen/dining area. It is fully equipped for your comfort and convenience. We think that cooking and eating are a part of vacation, so we purposely attached a custom dining table to a gas range/oven. You can cook and eat among enjoyable conversations and wonderful views a the same time.

Great location for a stay on Big Island: very quiet and private. Paul and Naomi are fabulous hosts and bend over backwards to make sure your stay is perfect. The house is well equipped as a home away from home - we are already planning our next trip back!
Great vacation home with wonderful views of the ocean and Milolii
Beautiful house with ocean views for miles, if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing getaway this is the place to do it. The owners respond quickly to address any issues or questions you may have and they’re happy to help. The house is very clean and has everything you need to feel at home, the sunsets are amazing.
Outstanding Rental 🏡 Home
Abe and I loved the property! The view, the amenities, the stock of supplies. Gorgeous place in and out. Great landlords who checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.
We will be back here for sure 👍😁🤙
Very clean and well stocked with supplies..Great view and comfortable.
Peaceful location with beautiful views
Let me start by saying we've stayed at many Home Away properties and by far this is the best experience we've ever had. We met the owners, Paul and Naomi, and they're great people that take a lot of pride in their home...and it shows. The home was mostly built by Paul who is a terrific finish carpenter. The home had a solid "north woods" feel to it, all while built on a lava flow, overlooking Hawaii's oldest fishing village, and with 180 degree ocean view that offers a gorgeous sunset every evening. If you're looking for evening dining out options, nite life and resort type amenities, this place probably isn't for you. The Sun Track House is more like a private retreat in which you can reconnect with Nature. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai, admiring the Pacific and listening to the birds, wild goats and turkeys, as well as sounds we weren't sure who they belonged to. Additionally you're centrally located between the airport, Valcano National Park and many other beautiful, fun adventures. We loved or time there and have already booked an extended stay in 2019. Aloha and Mahalo Paul and Naomi. See you next year!

We have stayed in rentals all over the world, and this house was exceptional. Built by the owner with care for every detail, we enjoyed both the craftsmanship of the home as well as the fact that Paul and Naomi made sure our every need was taken care of: comfortable beds, plenty of good quality linens, kitchen tools and supplies, washer and dryer (downstairs in the garage), boogie boards and snorkeling equipment, and TV with lots of channels including HBO.
The house is located about halfway down a steep windy 5-mile road that leads down to the water. The coast is rocky here, but if you're willing to hike a half mile from the beach park at the end of the road, there's a wonderful, black sand beach nearby with few people. There's also a rocky point where whales frolic - no kidding - and because we visited in January we were fortunate to be able to see dozens of them from the lanai.
Milolii is off the beaten track. We are baby boomers whose idea of nightlife is to curl up with a glass of wine and watch PBS, so it suited us well. But if you're looking for more than that, this place might not be for you. But if you want quiet, and beautiful scenery, you'll love it here. Be sure to load up on groceries on the way: there is nowhere within 12 miles to purchase anything. Stop at Costco in Kona before heading south, and again at ChoiceMart when you get to Captain Cook for the best groceries en route. But you do need to plan ahead.
We can't recommend this place enough for those who are physically fit (stairs!) and want a quiet vacation away from it all. Oh, and if you do yoga, the lanai is huge and allows you to practice overlooking the ocean. Wow!
