Perfect for Family Ski Trip
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Troy and Cindy's home in Angel Fire!!! The house couldn't have been more perfect!!!! 4 adults & 4 kids and we still had plenty of room! Great location, beautiful view and fun for the kids!! The kiddos loved playing in the yard & a perfect hill to sled down was an added bonus!!! Cindy was so helpful with all of our planning, I felt like I had my own personal travel agent helping me. We can't wait to come back and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else but here!! Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! :)
I am so Glad You all Had such a Great time and what a Beautiful Family You have ..I feel Blessed to have had you stay with us and can't wait for the next time <3. Cindy Harless
Great home, great location. Perfect first time ski trip!
The house was super comfortable and super clean. We had more than enough room for 2 adults, and 3 kids. The kids enjoyed the sled hill out back while we weren't skiing (sleds in garage). Location was within walking distance to the grocery store, pizza shop, and coffee shop. We really enjoyed having a beautiful view of the ski resort every morning, especially when the sun came up over the mountains. It is about a 2 min drive to the resort parking (no lie). This was our first time to ski and we will surely visit Angel Fire for more skiing again.
No Wi-Fi and tv satellite reception was marginal, but attributed that to minus zero temps while we were there.
Michelle, So Glad you all enjoyed New Years In Angel Fire and You all got to Enjoy All the New Snow that came through and you all had some cold temps But sounded like you all got to ski a lot !!Angel Fire being a small town and the frigid temps you all had does take its toll on some channels on the TV sometimes but that's when good rental movies and great Family Game nights as you said came into play so glad you Enjoyed !! :) Harless Family

Great View and Location
Great home with all the comforts of home. We felt we were staying at a good friends home. Easy access to ski resort and grocery store. We loved the view looking at ski slopes and mountains! My grandson had a blast with sleds and playing in snow around the house. Would definitely recommend this place to families or couples. All three bedrooms were comfortable. Living space with fireplace was very cozy and comfortable after a day of skiing!

All of the terrain in Angel Fire can be accessed from two high-speed quad chair lifts, three double chair lifts and two surface terrain lifts. In spring, summer and fall, the mountainsides form a backdrop of colorful meadows or brilliant golden aspens, and the weather’s always perfect: nice and sunny, never hot, never humid, never “buggy.” There’s a lot to do and it’s all right here, whether you’re an extreme sports fanatic or looking for low-key decompression. You can golf, hike, fish, mountain bike or just hang out by the lake, don’t forget to bring your camera! WINTER Angel Fire has many locations very close by to enjoy a nice gentle slope of a hill for sledding or for your toboggan during the winter months. There is also Olympic Park for a family building a snowman or having a good old fashion snowball fight! The Angel Fire Resort Nordic Center, located at the Angel Fire Resort Country Club has sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing available. Nestled in the southern Rockies, Angel Fire Resort ski area features 560+ boarding acres with 76 trails and terrain parks. Host to some of the greatest boarding races in the southern Rockies, Angel Fire presents USASA competitions throughout the winter and spring. The ski area is open from December through March, with 76 trails on 560+ ski-able acres and with two terrain parks . . . plenty of downhill fun for every ability and interest. Test your skill zipping through the gates of the timed NASTAR racecourse. And if you’re an expert, check out the hike-in skiing on several ungroomed runs. SUMMER The Angel Fire Zip line Adventure Tour is the first of its kind in New Mexico. On the signature segment of the tour, adrenaline seekers will fly fifty-stories above the forest floor as they traverse from peak to peak, side by side, on a 1,600' foot tandem zip line. A zip line is a station-to-station adventure ride, which consists of a cable stretched between points of different elevations, a pulley, and a harness or bar for attaching a rider, who moves by gravity. A zip line tour connects multiple zip lines of varying lengths and descents. The Angel Fire Zip line Adventure Tour will start at the 10,600' summit of the ski mountain, and will proceed in a station-to-station tour around the mountaintop. The tour will include six separate zip line segments of varying lengths, including the one dual tandem ride. Angel Fire Ski Resort does not stop with the end of the snowfall. During the summer months, the chairlift runs to give visitors a peek at the expansive scenery from the top of Agua Fire Peak. Camp Angel Fire is structured for kids to have outdoor fun throughout the summer. The camp is for kids ages 5 (must have been in kindergarten) though 12 years. The camp runs Monday through Friday each week with activities such as tennis, hiking, swimming, golf and rock climbing as outdoor activities and arts & crafts almost daily. Kids can join up for a day, a week, or all summer long. Camp Angel Fire is very popular and fills up almost every day, so pre-registration are required in advance. Angel Fire Resort’s trail system is ranked in the top 10 nationally and offers miles of downhill and cross-country entertainment. Extreme riders can test their limits, and family-friendly trails lure riders of all ability levels to experience this exhilarating sport. During the summer months you and your bike can get a (chair) lift on the Chile Express to the summit of Agua Fria Peak. Check out the amazing scenery and grab a bite at the Summit Haus, then zip through the trees and down the mountain. Cross-country riders can also try the South Boundary Trail that starts just south of Angel Fire and traverses the Kit Carson National Forest to Taos. Fly fishing the beautiful waters in and near Angel Fire, which are home to German Brown trout in abundance and a fair population of Rainbow trout, offer anglers from beginner to advanced with a little luck the best chance to reel in a good size one. Fish range 7' to 20' in length, averaging 10 to 14 inches in the streams. Take the reins and enjoy the cool mountain air on horseback in the Moreno Valley and Carson National Forest around Angel Fire. From an hour-and-a-half ride to a three-day guided pack trip, there’s a horseback adventure waiting for the whole family. You can even arrange a horse-drawn carriage for your wedding party.
