Guests were in awe of the property and the provided amenities were well thought out - with one exception it needs more chaise lounge chairs with cushions. Other than that it was great. The property manager, Claudia, did have a couple of lounge chairs brought over indicating your satisfaction is important to them.

Our family celebrated my mother's 90th year with her first trip to Hawaii and we chose to stay at Hale Hakina. It was perfect. The house extended every option to enjoy Hawaii from the entrance to the courtyard and beautiful salt water pool which is a focal point of the house to the sliding doors on both sides of the living room which allowed the soft trade winds to breeze through to the pool area. The bedrooms are all air conditioned - a real plus and each has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen was open and fully stocked. The best part was the incredible ocean view, the lawn area with a beautiful shade tree for my mother to sit under and the direct beach access so that she could watch family members paddle board, kayak and swim in the ocean. The house is the perfect location - a short walk to access the pillbox hike, easy walk to Buzz's and a nice morning stroll for a latte or breakfast sandwich at Kalapawai Market. The property was clean, well maintained and there was an abundance of quality beach towels tucked and rolled in vessels all around the property. Had a little concern with the public access walkway being right next to the house but it was never noticeable and very quiet. Checking in and out was a snap. Any calls with questions made to management were quickly returned. They assisted with recommending a professional photographer for a memorable family portrait. Gorgeous property and location!
