Why Marie chose Olympic Peninsula

We feel in love with Port Angeles in 2009 and found a home that let us connect with the sea. We love watching all the activity in the Straits and have a little group of deer that love to lounge in the yard. The Port Angeles Community is vibrant with many weekend festivals throughout the summer and the Olympic Peninsula offers unlimited opportunities for hiking and exploring. Art is alive from downtown sculptures and galleries to the Fine Arts Museum and Webster's Woods.

We hope you enjoy your stay and come to love the North Olympic Peninsula as much as we do.

Great View!

  • 4 of 5

We were only there for one night - this would have been great for a longer stay. Very spacious, great view. Thai restaurant nearby (Sabai Thai) was wonderful.

Cute cottage. Friends were getting married in Port Angeles and the cottage fit our needs just fine for the long weekend stay.

Super stay overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca!

  • 5 of 5

We love this "Cottage on 4th" It is quaint, spacious, super well-supplied with all the amenities one could want.

The view is ever-changing with all the cruise ships, tankers, and container ships (watching the Coast Guard Pilot boats go out to deliver

a guiding pilot to incoming ships and just the reverse when these commercial ships go back out to sea), fishermen in their boats, even

in the fog and pleasure sailboats and yachts. Don't forget the Black Ball ferries to and from B.C.

Ever without all the above, just the changes in the views of the water and sky all day long are thrilling.

It's such a great location for so many things to do: Saturday market, crabbing, walking and biking along the Strait on the Discovery Trail,

multiple hikes up at Hurricane Ridge and much, much more.

The cottage is well equipped to cook in, and there is a wide selection of many types of restaurants.

Once you go, you'll want to go back and back and back

Handy location, comfy house

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 was very comfortable staying at this quaint, neat and tidy home. It was very reasonably priced, handy to Olympic National Park, and had everything we needed, including coffee! We especially liked all the helpful information provided, from specific directions to get there (no getting lost, as has happened before), to information on local restaurants, great hikes, etc. We visited Hoh Rainforest, Rialto Beach, and Hurricane Ridge -- each very different from the other, but so cool. Amazing views from up on Hurricane Ridge! Thanks for a great stay.

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted with Marie's vacation cottage. It is adorable, neat, clean, and so conveniently set up with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. There were four of us and although there is only one bathroom it was never a problem. The home is much roomier that the photos convey. And the little conveniences were so welcome. She has worked hard to create a perfect home away from home for her guests. Her greeting us as we arrived was a lovely touch. Would definitely book again! Thanks, Marie!

Clean charming house

  • 5 of 5

House was charming, spacious, clean, stocked with most kitchen items to cook if needed. Aluminum walking sticks were available to borrow. The item we wished was provided was shampoo. House was convenient to grocery, gas, and other places usually found in cities (bank, restaurants, coffee shops) and to most parts of Olympic NPS. Marie, the owner, provided driving directions whether coming from either direction to Port Angeles. House rules were clearly provided in binder, along with info needed to explore the area. Excellent value for nightly rate. Would definitely recommend to people looking for place to stay in this area.
