About Denise & Jack Kedian

Jack and Denise, always in love with the water, have enjoyed a variety of careers before landing at Waters Edge. For Jack, it was mechanical engineering hi-tech strategic alliances. Denise taught high school; was a newspaper reporter, director of publications/PR, and finally, innkeeper at their B&B on Cape Cod Bay. For 14 years, they welcome wonderful guests from all over the world. When it was time to retire, they built At Waters Edge, designed to accommodate guests in their own private space with amazing water views in a unique natural setting. You’ll have to excuse them if they brag a bit about their 2 doctor daughters and 4 hilarious grandchildren who love this special place as much they do.

Denise & Jack Kedian purchased this house in 2011

Why Denise & Jack Kedian chose South Shore Massachusetts

Why choose At Waters Edge? Location, views, beautifully designed living space, activities, helpfull hosts.

Direct waterfront on 3 mile 375 acre Great Herring Pond, with a cozy private beach, complete with a fully furnished waterdeck, 50’ dock, kayaks, paddle boat, Adirondack chairs under a shady Sassafras Tree, lovely grounds and gardens. Boat, swim, sun, golf nearby… or just sit back & relax by the water. Aaah!

Historic Plymouth, great deep sea fishing, harbor cruises, museums, beaches, restaurants, a state forest and much more await.

Sightseeing in Plymouth and on Cape Cod is right where you are. Just cruise down beautiful Route 6A on the inner Cape and 28A on the outer Cape. Take nearby ferries to Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket. Scenic Scusset Beach just before Cape Cod 10 minutes away... no waiting traffic at the Sagamore Bridge. Perfect!

Boston & Newport, in fact all of New England is within your reach.

What makes this house unique

When you drive up past the white picket fence, you are taken with the beauty of the water and its surroundings. Our grandchildren burst out of the car and race to the water while the engine is still running. Guests often walk to the beach before knocking on the door. Guests get a warm welcome from experienced innkeepers who want to assure their best possible stay. Decorated like a fine B&B, with crisp white linens, soft towels and fluffy robes At Waters Edge makes you'll feel pampered right away. This lovely living space is light and airy, with comfortable furnishings and feels like home s soon s you walk in the door. Country roads invite walks in an inviting natural setting. Discovering all of these amenities in one place doesn’t happen every day. Make your days special At Waters Edge.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"At Waters Edge" is a very nice apartment directly located on Great Herring Pond. Because of the glass doors, there is a great view from the apartment directly to the pond. Swimming before breakfast, breakfast on the beach deck, relaxing, kayaking etc. - everything is possible only a stone's throw away.

The location of At Waters Edge is also a good starting point for trips to Historic Plymouth, Boston, and Cape Cod - but the most important thing , why At Waters Edge becomes a special place, is the wonderful hospitality of Denise, Jack and little Missy the Yorkie. Your questions regarding trips, eating places, nice locations to visit etc. are very welcome and there is always time for a nice talk. The little sign over the door says "Come as strangers, leave as friends" is not only words. Thank you for the wonderful time. You'll see us again.

The Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed at this beautiful waterfront home for one week in August and enjoyed wonderful times. It is an excellent rental in terms of comfort, amenities, safety, location, rates and very convenient especially with kids. Fully equipped from top to bottom in a centralized location with short commutes to every beautiful place in the Plymouth area. Most importantly, Jack and Denise were very welcoming, friendly, kind, loving and catered to our every need. They were very genuine, sincere and loving to our family and we thank them so much for such a great stay. We ended up having to extend our stay due to some minor setbacks and to my greatest surprise, Denise was up at 3 AM web browsing in search of a location for us. That was super! Also, we won’t forget when Jack ran upstairs asking if our two sons would like to go see the ducks in the pond – simply amazing! Captain Jack even allowed my 4-year-old son (thereafter, Captain Bren) steer his boat on a beautiful sightseeing cruise around the herring pond. You don't need to pack much to enjoy your stay here, just your suitcase will suffice. Thank you Denise and Jack for such a wonderful time and memories. We will definitely be back soon.

Owner's Response: We've had many wonderful guests, but It isn't often that you make such a genuine connection in such a short time. Randal, Barbara, Bren and Ethan allowed us to share in their enjoyment of their vacation At Waters Edge. Watching parents playing with their little ones at the pond, encouraging them to to try new things, explore new places and interact with new people was a delight for us as hosts. We always try to respect the privacy or our guests, but sometimes guests include us in the fun, and share their vacation experiences with us. It was delightful watching Bren & Ethan. It was almost like having our grandchildren little again. They're very lucky to have such loving parents. We really enjoyed getting to know Randal and Barbara. There was a good deal of laughter by the pond. Their joy in the beauty of simple every day things is contagious. We were so touched when they invited us to visit them at their home, where Randal plans to cook for us. Looking forward to it more than we can say. Hoping that someday, they find their way back to the pond, Jack & Denise At Waters Edge

Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

Waters Edge is slightly removed to a serene setting on a quite cove of Great Herring Pond, but also centrally located with easy access to Cape Cod and historic Plymouth. That being said there is much fun to be had at Waters Edge. Kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, and recreational fishing among a few. I was recently in the area for work and was accommodated by Jack and Denise on very short notice. They also went out of their way and allowed me to stay a few days when my work was extended. The high light of my stay was a leisurely tour of the pond with Jack and Denise in their boat. Thanks guys. Looking forward to staying again. Next time less work more fun.

cozy and comfortable with gorgeous view

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a nice relaxing place to stay at the end of the summer and came across 'the Waters Edge.' Denise and Jack welcomed my husband and I along with our two teenage sons. We stayed on the top two floors which were immaculate and carefully decorated with just the right touch.

We brought our 17ft Searay and spent a lot of time enjoying the water from fishing to tubing and waterskiing. Great Herring pond was a very family friendly pond. We also enjoyed Denise and Jack's double kayak and paddle boat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank Jack and Denise for their welcoming manner. We also absolutely loved their dog Missy, who was a joy to be around.

Owner's Response: Linda, Dan, Ben & Nick were a delight to have At Waters Edge..Linda apologized for the last minute reservation, and explained that Dan had been in Afghanistan for 10 months, and would possibly returning in the near future. She saying that they just wanted to have some special family time on the water. We knew immediately that we should welcome them At Waters Edge. It warmed our hearts to see them water skiing, fishing,, and grilling on the water deck. They seemed to be making the most of every moment of their family time. We were so glad we said "yes" and hope to see them back here again someday.

My husband and I stayed at this waterfront house for two weeks in August and found the accommodations perfect. The unit was clean, comfortable and Denise and Jack were very hospitable. It was quite a treat to have such a beautiful view of the pond and still have easy access to the local beaches. We will certainly stay their again.

Owner's Response: It was wonderful having Susan & Dave here At Waters Edge. We loved seeing that they appreciated what it has to offer, and enjoyed hearing about what lovely days they had at the beach, places they had been, and that they could just relax by the pond when they returned form their adventures on Cape Cod and Historic Plmouth. We shared stories, some laughter, and plans for future travel. They were perfect guests, who took very good care of our place and were very generous when a prospective tenant asked if they could take a peek at the apartment. We wish them a marvelous trip to Greece, and look forward to their return to At Waters Edge. They will be most welcome.

Beautiful property!

Mark and I had an amazing week here. We took many day trips to see Cape Cod, Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and Plymouth. The property was exactly like the pictures with a beautiful view of the pond. Jack and Denise are great hosts. They were willing to help us in any way. It is truly a great place to relax, and it is also so close to scenic places where there is always plenty to do. I highly recommend it!!

Owner's Response: It was lovely having Mark & Nikki here At Waters Edge. They were so enthusiastic about our place, the waterfront deck and beach, and very appreciative of everything here. They seemed to enjoy our taking them for a boat ride around 3 mile long Great Herring Pond. We had a great time showing them all its interesting coves, homes, and beaches along the way. It is very gratifying to have our guests so pleased with At Waters Edge and their stay here.We really love being able to share this very special place with such wonderful guests. We hope they find their way back here some day!

A superb week a Waters Edge

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful relaxing week was spent by myself and my husband at Denise & Jacks fabulous holiday home, the properties relaxing location is so much better than the photos could show. Denise and Jack showed us great hospitality along with good restaurant and beach recommendations. The house is well appointed to travel the whole of the surrounding area with ease, or just while away the hours relaxing at the lake, we would definitely recommend to anyone else this well appointed property and would be keen to return to have another relaxing holiday ourselves.

Owner's Response: It was wonderful having Ken & Barbie stay At Water Edge. They were so appreciative and really seemed to enjoy their surroundings. They made each day count, exploring historic Plymouth and Cape Cod. We had lively conversations, and loved hearing that they had discovered a beautiful off-the beaten-path beach and an amazing seafood shanty hidden in a bayfront boatyard. We think we learned as much from them about the area as they might have learned from us. Now we can share their discoveries with future guests. Priceless! We hope that someday they'll find their way back to our beach house. The Kayaks await.
