This American Craftsman style bungalow, built in 1924, is located in the Historic Old North End of Colorado Springs. The neighborhood is reminiscent of early Colorado Springs at the turn of the 20th century, complete with stately hundred-year old trees. On the historic registry, the home is two blocks north of Colorado College, a short walk to downtown and the popular Monument Valley Park where you will find scenic walking trails, picturesque gardens, and vast recreational opportunities.

You will have the use of the entire, centrally air conditioned home, (1826 sq. feet) including a newly remodeled kitchen. The entire back yard is a patio with a gas grill, table with umbrella, and chairs. Relax on the wicker furniture on the charming front porch with a drink while watching the sunset behind the mountains!

The home sleeps up to 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 with queen beds on the main level and 1 with 2 twin beds; and a sitting room/family room with double futon downstairs.

The entire home has Mission style furniture, antiques, and hardwood floors throughout. There is a fully equipped kitchen, separate laundry room with washer and dryer, formal dining room, comfortable living room with gas burning fireplace, and a separate office off the master bedroom with a desk. Free High Speed Wi-Fi is available, a 47” HD flat screen TV, which is equipped with cable and a DVD player. Pack n Play available upon request.

Lighted off-street parking is available for 2 cars (other cars can safely park on the street in front of the house).

You will be a short distance from downtown Colorado Springs where you will find restaurants to fit any budget, along with museums, night life, libraries, the Fine Art Center, the Pikes Peak Center, Colorado College, a lake, a swimming pool, ice skating, several parks, bike paths, shopping, the National Firefighters Memorial, the United States Olympic Center and art galleries.

The house is Located in the Old North End blocks from Colorado College. From the home, you will also be just 10 miles from the United States Air Force Academy, 4 miles from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS), 6 miles to Manitou Springs, 7.5 miles to the Manitou Incline Trail and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, 12 miles from the Pikes Peak Highway Tollgate, 2 miles from the United States Olympic Training Center, 4.7 miles from the Garden of the Gods, 5 miles from the Glen Eyrie Castle, 5.5 miles from the Broadmoor Resort, 8 miles to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It is about an hour drive to the Royal Gorge and river rafting, and approximately 2 hours to Buena Vista for more rafting adventures. One hour away from Cripple Creek, 1 hour away from Denver, and 15 minutes from the Colorado Springs Airport. Stay for a few days, a week, a month or more. Please make yourself at home!

Please, no smoking and no pets. Many of our returning, and new guests are allergic to both. If evidence is found $250 will be taken from the security deposit.

The City of Colorado Springs will not allow RV's of any kind to be parked or used in front or next to the house.

Check-in is 4:30 p.m. Check-out is 11:00 a.m. and both are flexible on a case by case basis, depending on reservations days before and after your reservation dates.

Charming House, Great for Families, Centrally Located, Owners fantastic

We just loved our stay at this adorable, spacious house! We planned a family girls trip (5 people, 3 generations) and the house provided a good combination of space for togetherness and space apart (we travelled with teenagers). The neighborhood is lovely and the central location allowed us to pack in a lot of sightseeing during our time in Colorado Springs. The owners are great! Welcome messages and check-ins throughout to ensure everthing was to our satisfaction. We will definitely be back!

Lovely historic home in old north end!

Although this house is historic, built 1924, it had had all modern comforts that were needed. We also very much enjoyed the old quaintness of the house which was very clean with good water pressure, direct tv, central air, gas stove, BBQ, washer/dryer, etc. There really wasn't anything we found wanting. Just explore the house and you'll find it. The owners are helpful as well, if you need anything. Though we did not use the downstairs basement, it is suitable for younger ones. The neighborhood was just lovely and convenient to all the attractions we wanted to see. I would stay here again should the need arise.

Sisters Get Away

I have to say this little bungalow was perfect for our "Sister Get Away". #1 thing on my list was the beds were very comfortable! The house was in a great location and great restaurants were very close by. We enjoyed having a quiet street to sit on the porch and people watch in the evenings. We loved that the details of the house have been preserved with great care. The kitchen was updated and very easy to find exactly what we needed. The lower level was like having a separate living area of your own if you needed a little quiet time. We were able to see close by attractions and have a nice place to return to every evening. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns and let us know if we needed anything to just let him know. My family had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

Located in The Historic Old North End of Colorado Springs just north of Colorado College.

You can walk west to Monument Valley Park and go north or south and get in a short or long, very scenic walk.

There are many very good restaurants in the old down town area. It's located south of the house about a mile and a half. You can walk or bike. If driving there is plenty of parking throughout the downtown area.
