About E.J. Fesler

I grew up in this home. I'm retired now and live nearby in the mountains.

E.J. Fesler purchased this bungalow in 1950

Why E.J. Fesler chose Colorado Springs

This vacation rental was my home as a child. Our family has had many gatherings here throughout the years; Thanksgiving, Christmas, family birthdays, etc.

I chose to turn my home into a vacation rental because of the neighborhood and its proximity to the many amenities of the local area.

What makes this bungalow unique

My wife and I have always enjoyed the short distance from old downtown Colorado Springs where you will find restaurants to fit any budget along with museums, bars, libraries, the Fine Art Center, the Pikes Peak Center, Colorado College, a lake, a swimming pool, ice skating, several parks, bike paths, shopping, the National Firefighters Memorial, the United States Olympic Center and art galleries. You will be within 1 hour of a private hot springs and 2 ½ hours from skiing.

The house is 10 minutes away from the famous 5 Star Broadmoor Hotel, 12 minutes away from Manitou Springs, 8 minutes from Old Colorado City, 5 minutes walk from Colorado College, 20 minute walk from Old down town Colorado Springs, 12 minutes from Garden of the Gods, 15 minutes away from the Air Force Academy, One hour away from Cripple Creek, 1 hour away from Denver and 20 minutes from the Colorado Springs Airport. Stay with us for a few days, a week, a month or more. Please make yourself at home!

Fantastic place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family or friends!

  • 5 of 5

I have been to quite a few rental homes before. This had the nicest furnishings and was the cleanest of any I have ever been to. Plenty of space for all of us to spread out. Very quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The directions for getting in, finding things, and for leaving were clear and easy to follow. EJ was great and had my security deposit refunded to me in a day. Very convenient location for all the attractions in the Colorado Springs area. Check out Dog Tooth Coffee a short walk down the road. Very nice coffee shop with great employees. That was an added pleasure having that so close to home.

It can cause some anxiety choosing a place to stay via the internet and spending your hard earned vacation money on a place to stay that you haven't seen. Accommodations can make or break your trip. Rest assured, this place will not disappoint. Thank you, EJ!

Perfect home away from home

  • 5 of 5

My family of seven stayed here for our recent venture to Colorado Springs. While there we did downtown Manitou, Pikes Peak, Air Force Academy, Capulin Volcano, Florissant fossil beds, and toured downtown Denver. The location is perfect for all these adventures. The house is perfectly furnished with everthing you need, grill for outdoor cooking, laundry, kicthen, A/C, fireplace for the romantic evening's..

Would totally recommend staying here to anyone staying in the area, for fun, or for work. My family loved it, and if we return to the Springs area we will hope to be able to stay here.

Excellent place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Picturesque, craftsman-style home in a nice, older part of town, very well maintained, thoughtfully decorated, quiet and comfortable. Guests' needs are adequately provided for and the owner is friendly and responsive. Loved the front porch. A bonus is a welcoming little coffee shop just a short walking distance away. Would have given this place a 5-star rating except for some dusting in the corners and under the beds that was needed when we arrived; however, we would not hesitate to rebook this home in the future.

Enchanting Stay in Colorado Springs

  • 5 of 5

What an overall wonderful experience and stay at the Craftsman Style Bungalow. The online communication was excellent with all necessary information sent in a timely fashion. We had 7 adults stay very comfortably. Everything that we needed was provided. The house was perfect and we are looking into purchasing the mission style living room furniture here in South Florida. The location was close to everything. There were Casinos close for Grandma, snowboarding and skiing for the guys and plenty of things to see like the Broadmoor, The Cave of the Winds, and the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. It was cold and there appears to be a lot more to do in the summer. We saw the Star Wars Movie. We even attended Christmas Eve services at the local Methodist Church. Not sure how you made it snow Christmas morning, it was a real joy. I would stay again, if not this summer, then in April 2017 for my daughter's wedding.
