Upper Manhattan Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Studio apartment on a beautiful 19th century block

This charming apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a late 19th century brownstone, on a classic, residential townhouse block in the historic Hamilton Heights neighborhood of West Harlem. The studio overlooks a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined street.

This is a private, self contained apartment - you are not sharing.

Lofty space combines modern touches with turn of the century details. Mid-century style furniture with a streamlined look provides style and comfort. Dining table seats 4 and the leather chaise lounge by the window is a perfect spot to nap or read. Full size comfy, tempur-pedic bed sleeps two. The high ceiling (11') and 2 large windows provide great light and a spacious feel. 2 dressers and a large closet provide plenty of space for all of your clothes and belongings. Bed linens and towels are provided for your stay.

Basic kitchen is equipped with all the essentials: french press coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, full set of pots and pans. If you find that you are missing something, please ask and i will try to accommodate your request.

Wifi and all utilities (heat, hot water, electricity) are included in the price. There is no television.

Please note that while this apartment is fully functional and kept very clean, it is not renovated (hence the lower price). If you require a newly renovated apartment please see my other listings.

Hamilton Heights is a vibrant, landmarked, residential neighborhood in west Harlem. (website hidden)_HEIGHTS-SUGAR_HILL_HISTORIC_DISTRICT_EXTENSION.pdf

This area was the former country estate of Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States. It also contains the famous neighborhood known as Sugar Hill.

There are many historical and cultural attractions and sights in the area. Including Hamilton Grange, the Morris-Jumel mansion and blocks filled with beautifully preserved, late 19th century architecture.

Nearby parks include St Nicholas Park, Riverside Park (1 block away), and RIverbank State Park, which has its own gym, olympic size pool and track. (website hidden)

There is a conveniently located grocery store 1 block away on Broadway/150th. And the much loved NYC supermarket, the Fairway, is on 133rd/12th ave, about a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Here you will find a huge selection of all types of food including imported, specialty and organic.

Harlem Public, a neighborhood favorite for great pub food and atmosphere is just around the corner.

The Chipped Cup Cafe (coffee/pastries) is also less than one block away and has a lovely NYC style garden in the back.

Glenn was an excellent host. Helped out when i could not locate my keys. Was always a message or phone call away. The apartment is small but all the essentials are there. Great location. Safe neighbourhood. A short walk to express trains. Would definitely stay again.
