This cozy family beach house offers plenty of space for the whole family.
The house is a short walk to one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Oregon Coast, and is located in the beautiful Kiwanda Shores neighborhood, close to the Pelican Pub Brewery and Restaurant and the Cape Kiwanda Sand Dunes and Marine Garden.
There are two large common areas. The upstairs has a relaxing living and dining area that provide a great open atmosphere for everyone to gather with a board game. There is no WiFi in this home, but the Stimulus Cafe is across from the Pelican Pub, and offers free WiFi throughout the day.
The game and TV room (there's a DVD/VCR player) is downstairs and is highlighted by a brand new Ping Pong table that provides hours of family fun!
A full kitchen makes cooking for a large group relaxing and easy. Modern appliances, natural wood cabinets, and terracotta tiles add a homey feel. There is also a deck with a charcoal grill on the top level next to the kitchen, so it is easy to prepare meals both indoors and outdoors.
The home offers four bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, and one with twin-over-full bunk bed. It comfortably accommodates up to eight guests.
Grab the boogie boards that are available for guest use and hit the waves. Spend a lazy morning sipping a hot beverage out on the back deck - you may even see a deer or two. Hiking and biking trails, fishing holes for crabbing and clamming, and a pretty nature trail are all close by!

Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
We stayed in the house from July 12 to July 15, 2016. The location is great. The house has an unusual layout, but it was very bright and comfortable. The appliances are showing signs of wear. The right front burner on the stove didn't work, and the other burners were inconsistent. The kitchen sink really should have a garbage disposal; it plugs up very easily in normal day to day use. The top floor bathroom sink won't hold water, and the water valve handle is almost stuck. The window shades are in poor condition.
This was our first time traveling to Pacific City as well as a first time renting a house. I must say the experience was fantastic! The area was beautiful and having a house right in the middle of town was convenient and fun. We will definitely come back and do this again.
The location was great. Only problem is no tv or Internet access. Better bring a book to read.
This beach house has a fairly decent proximity to the beach, individual and comfortable bedrooms, and is maintained to an acceptable degree. Beyond meeting the bare minimum, this house is a slight disappointment. The pool table has neither a triangle nor chalk (nor non-warped pool cues). The dirty, south-facing kitchen and dining windows lack blinds, and are therefore subject to the morning-to-midday sun and the evening spectatorship of any interested neighbors (of which there are many). The thermostat appears to have only "off" and "smoldering" settings, despite the illusion of temperature control. Fortunately, there is an abundance of firewood located beneath the entry stairs, so we were able to keep a pleasant fire going. Everyone's beds were comfortable, and we all appreciated the unique decorations throughout the house.
The house is in good condition and attractive. We enjoyed that the kitchen, livingroom, and two bedrooms were higher than usual. It is close to the beach and both parts of town. In case there is a tsunami, higher ground is just across the street from the gate.
We rented a boat in Netarts, a town a little north of Pacific City. We caught nine Dungeness crabs and a bunch of Rock Crabs. In Pacific City, we enjoyed the Farmers Market, the Mexican restaurant, and the Grateful Bread Bakery. Our fishing wasn't successful, but we saw other fishermen catching salmon.
Two small negatives: (1) I was able to access the Internet through my phone about half the time (my husband's phone about one-third). However, a short distance away is the Stimulus Cafe which has the Internet (closes at 6 pm). (2) The TV doesn't work, but it can play DVDs (fairly good selection).
