Overview

About the property

Enjoy Western Sunsets on a Quiet Bay on Lake Sinissippi!

This is a bright and cheery updated house-new wood laminate floors were just put in! It has great western views and a flat yard to the lake. There is a canoe provided with a launch.

A pontoon boat and kayaks are available for rental. We have two lakehouses we rent, so the boats are available to whomever books it first.

There is also a deck with a table and umbrella; a fire pit with adirondak chairs; bikes, fishing poles, and games. Inside there are two bedrooms with queen beds and a queen pull out couch. You can enjoy the view sitting in the sun room and relaxing!

The house is located on a not thru street so you won't have to contend with traffic and the houses are not on top of each other. A perfect location on Lake Sinissippi!!

About Barb and Rick Meyers

We love this area and the lake and in 2013 bought a different house on the peninsula across the bay. We decided to rent this house weekly so others can enjoy what we love.

Barb and Rick Meyers purchased this house in 2003

Why Barb and Rick Meyers chose Wisconsin

We originally bought this property in 2003 because of its close proximity (45 minutes) to our home near Milwaukee. We did not want to waste our precious weekend time driving in a car. It has a flat yard to the lake with western sunset views and only forest across the bay, no houses. It is also on a non-busy road.

What makes this house unique

The house has an updated kitchen and is an open concept.

Nice

  • 3 of 5

Nice view and the owners were so helpful when we had questions. I would say that the beds were WAY too soft and the well water to shower was not pleasant. If you are looking for a nice, average place this would be it.

Owner's Response: We wish you would have let us know about the water and beds. There is an iron filter that we could have adjusted. Nothing we can do about well water, but that is lake living...Also the one bed has a mattress topper which we could have removed. When we bought the other bed, it was the second level of firmness. We wanted a soft and firm bed to give renters a choice.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

This property was absolutely adorable and such a perfect location. We spent a weekend here and it was the perfect get-a-way. The lake is huge and being able to canoe and have a campfire was a really great perk. Barb was the perfect hostest. She left us a note telling us where to look for the eagles nest on the lake and gave us ideas on what to see (farmers market and a meat store with 50 different types of brats). We did both. Quaint little towns with lots of food options. We highly recommend this vrbo. Pictures don't do this property justice.

Lovely property, wonderful owners!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cottage! It's perfect for a getaway weekend. Fully stocked with everything you need to make your time there perfect. I had told the owners we were celebrating our anniversary and there was bottle of champagne and a card waiting for us when we arrived. The yard is gorgeous with a beautiful Weeping Willow tree and peaceful lake. Unfortunately Mother Nature wasn't cooperating with us but thanks to all the information in the cottage we found lots to do to fill the day. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing getaway with beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

This home is so very cozy and has everything you could need. Rick and Barb are very kind, and extremely accommodating. We fished everyday and caught lots of fish. We were hoping for more than just Carp and bullhead, but the neighbors informed us those are the only kinds that live in this part of the lake. That was fine by us, as we do it for the sport and release all fish. We were hoping to swim, but again were told by neighbors that due to sinking in the mud, it was best not to. The sunsets were so incredible and it was so nice to just sit out on the dock and take in the beautiful views. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation surrounded by nature and beauty this is the place for you! Thank you Rick and Barb for allowing the opportunity to stay at your wonderful home!:)

Owner's Response: We are glad you liked it! Even though the lake is stocked, I always tell people they will catch fish, but don't count on what you catch for supper. The lake has a silt bottom and it is perfectly fine to swim in. We provide lounge rafts too for those that like to float.

Wonderful Updated Lakefront Home

  • 5 of 5

This cozy lake house was absolutely perfect for a girls getaway/reunion. The owners have beautifully updated the entire house and it was incredibly clean upon our arrival. The bedrooms are a bit snug but a queen bed fit comfortably in each. There was also a queen sized pull out couch in the living room that was very comfy! We have rented several different lake houses in Wisconsin and this house was the most well stocked of any we've rented. It really does feel like home as opposed to a rental!

The yard is huge and very well landscaped. Beautiful trees made the yard and deck feel very private. The view of the lake was gorgeous! The weather did not cooperate for much of our trip so we did not go swimming, but the view alone was worth it!

The owners, Barb and Rick, took great care of us! They responded very quickly to all of our questions and even inflated rafts for us prior to our arrival! We did take the canoe out and enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the lake was and how friendly the other boaters were. We will hopefully be returning next summer!

Great stay !

  • 5 of 5

Rick and Barb are amazing hosts. Their lake front property is fabulous. We took our three kids, ages 2-12. Everyone had a blast. Kids were able to fish, play in the lake, frisbee in the yard, and bonfire at night.

We have rented houses from wisc, Virginia, and California, from this site., This house was the most stocked with amenities, it really felt like you were at home.

Was a great experience all around.
