Beautiful home and view with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect getaway for our young family and grandparents. Plenty of room for the 7 of us to spread out, kids loved all being able to share a room above the garage! Plenty of toys for the yard, and by the water too! Paddle boat, motor boat and kayaks made it extra fun for the adults! Kids loved playing basketball on the driveway and badminton in the yard. They were very happy and busy and that made it wonderful for the adults 😊 Kids explored and played outside all day! House is very clean and inviting. Lake was nice a quiet, especially during the week. Peach and apple picking nearby! We have rented every summer in Michigan all over and this was by far the best!

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this lovely lake home. It was perfect for our family reunion get-away. Very spacious yet cozy with all you need for relaxing, cooking, and using the beach area. Plenty to do for all ages. Great place and owners great to work with. Will plan to return for yet another memorable trip next year.

Well equipped beautiful house and yard

  • 4 of 5

Our family vacations every couple of years on a lake in various locations of Michigan. This house had everything available that we needed for the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and yard. We enjoyed all the outdoor games, kayaks, paddleboard and fishing boat. The house was large and the beds were comfortable. The lake was mucky at the shore, but we brought our own inflatable floating island that we could anchor out in deeper water. The swimming was fun for all ages (3-48 years) and the lake was not so busy that we had to worry about the little ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owner was great to work with.

Lovely house and setting.

  • 3 of 5

The house is clean, spacious, beautiful, and completely matches up with the description provided. You couldn't ask for anything better. I would consider the yard semi-private and very well groomed; which is a bonus, considering it's hard to come by lake house rentals that aren't built right on top of one another. The backyard is really lovely, leading to a sandy beach. My only disappointment, was the quality of the lake. It was not suitable for swimming in our opinion. It has a silty/mucky bottom and lots of vegetation (algae and lily pads). When you step into it, we sunk about half way up our calves in muck. I honestly didn't even want to sit with my feet dangling into the water at the end of the pier, due to the stagnant smell the water had. However, two members of our group fished the lake and were fairly successful, catching several small catfish and two moderately sized northern pike. We had a fish fry and it was great! So, in terms of fishing the lake was nice, but the main reason we came to this location was to enjoy swimming in the lake and, sadly, we were greatly disappointed. Christine was the manager we were in contact with and was very responsive and helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jon for your review, I do apologize for your disappointment with the Keeler Lake. We are really at the mercy of nature and the environment within the lake. It really all depends on the weather, the winter freeze, and the associations efforts in treating it. Some summers are great, and unfortunately others are not so great. Most MI inland lakes have a combo of sand and mud bottoms which dictates the nature that will be in it. Again, I am sorry for the condition this summer and hope it will be better next summer!
