About Steven Young

Architect with a slight obsession for historic homes.

Steven Young purchased this house in 2010

Why Steven Young chose Connecticut Shore

We bought this home as our dream home in downtown Mystic. The water views are so relaxing with the sailboats of the Seaport all day long. Hear the drawbridge horn yet you are far enough away from the Main Street traffic. You can walk to nearly EVERYTHING from this location. We love to sit on the front steps with our coffees and watch the runners & cyclists go by.

What makes this house unique

Natural light galore. Very high ceilings. Water views from most rooms.

Beautiful spot for weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this house in Mystic -- gorgeously renovated. lots of natural light, with everything you could possibly want / need to be comfortable. Owner was incredibly responsive and made the trip easy. Awesome backyard for our dog to play in, and stunning view of the sunrise out the kitchen's bay windows. Close to restaurants, shopping and just a quick drive away from the grocery store.

Beautiful home, great location

  • 5 of 5

This home is absolutely gorgeous- beautifully restored and decorated. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds comfortable, and the common rooms very cozy; there was even a Christmas tree. Steven was extremely responsive and helpful. Literally the only thing you need to bring (which we forgot) is shampoo. One thing to note is that, as in many historic homes, the steps are very steep, so it may not be a great fit for small children or the elderly.

The house is a lovely stroll through a historic neighborhood to shops and restaurants, and the yard seems like it would be a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the view in nice weather. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Mystic!

A beautiful historic home in downtown Mystic

This beautiful and well-appointed home was comfortable and relaxing. We rented it with friends to attend a wedding in Mystic and it was the perfect spot. The house has everything you might need for an enjoyable weekend and the views of the river are fabulous.

Great stay in a perfect house

  • 5 of 5

We were very fortunate to stay in this fantastic property to see in the New Year. It is a beautiful old house with many original features, and has been lovingly restored and updated by the owner. The house was perfect for our group of two small families; we had a very comfortable stay and our 3 year old son and 5 year old nephew enjoyed playing in the finished basement, and running around the back yard. The owner was very accommodating and answered any queries we had. The location is perfect and allowed us to explore the local area really easily. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!
