Pros, great deck, great view, a bathroom in every bedroom, tv in every bedroom, close to Naples and canadagua, cons, not very clean the bed sheets we're dirty upon arrival, tap water smells horrible defiantly take bottled water, bad odor in downstairs closet, shedes we're falling apart in downstairs bedroom, no air conditioning, ceiling fans didn't cut it, no ice maker,
This house is the farthest one south on the west side, right next to the Sawmill restaurant. The house was as advertised. Four bedroms with their own bathromms - hard to find. The back deck was spacious with a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake with two umbrella tables on it. We spent most of our time on the deck. We used the large dining table for nightly games and as a serving station for dinner. Wimbledon tennis week was during our stay and thetennis fans were happy with the big TV screen and the quality of the picture. We had plenty of room on the back lawn for many games of cornhole. The grill had enough gas for multiple cookouts, thank you! Only negatives were the weeds in the water, which made the lake less attractive to swim in than other places north on the lake, and the road noise. We drank bottled water because the faucet water wasn't good. None of these issues were deal killers. Our family had a great time at this location. As stated, it is a great value. We will return in future years.
We spent a terrific week at La Casa Pura Vida and enjoyed relaxing meals on the upper deck. Everything was as promised and even better! The kitchen was well equipped and we never ran out of gas for the outdoor grill. The game room was a pleasure for all of the kids (ages 10, 12, 21, 41, 47, 51, and 81). We had plenty of room and the bathrooms were luxurious. The best shower water pressure we've ever experienced in a rental. It was close to a busy road but we didn't hear much traffic because all of the bedrooms were on the lake-side of the house. It was terrific to have the restaurant next door -- the ladies escaped for a "Girls night out." The owners were attentive but not overbearing and the lake views are breath-taking.
We just returned from a week long stay at Casa Pura Vida and had a great time with extended family also staying in the area. The location of the house could not be better in respect to its proximity to the town of Naples and the many wineries and gift shops in that area. Based on previous comments, we came with our own life jackets and took advantage of the peddle boat and spent lots of time fishing off the dock. We were disappointed with the lake itself because the water was mucky, shallow and beyond a certain point, full of weeds- we had envisioned better swimming conditions. It is important to note just how close the house is to the road- it is literally feet from the main road which, as it turned out, was not nearly as busy as we feared when we first arrived so traffic noise was not an issue. The layout of the house was perfect for our extended family- we enjoyed the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom and the main living space easily accommodated 10+ people. This past week had good weather and we had some nice breezes off the lake but third floor- despite the windows being open and fans on- got quite warm/humid.
Loved the house ! The house upon arrival was extremely clean. The house was larger than I thought it would be. Had plenty of room on the three separate floors for everyone to have their own space. The bedroom downstairs has incredible lake views. The kids loved the rec room on the ground floor and spent most of their time there. Gorgeous views of the Lake from almost every room in the house. Plenty of deck space / outdoor space for everyone to gather. The dock was quite large and had a picnice table on it to sit. Liked having bedrooms with a bathroom of their own on each of the floors because again it was nice everyone could have their own space. Absolutely love the area, close to both Naples and Canandaigua. Kitchen had many different pots, pans, fry pans, spices etc. which made cooking much easier. Had delicous pizza and wings from The Sawmill restaurant, some of the best wings my husband said he has ever had. Extremely grateful to the owner for going out of her way to make our time there more comfortable. Thanks again for going above and beyond, it was very much appreciated!
House was a great size, dock with lots of room, deck a perfect place for dinner. Wish there were life preservers to let the kids have more free range on the canoe and paddle boat. Basement room was quite dank despite fans and windows. Not sure there is much to do about it, but just so you are aware.
